The Karelian-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic[1] (Russian: Карело-Финская Советская Социалистическая Республика, abbreviation: КФССР, Finnish: Karjalais-suomalainen sosialistinen neuvostotasavalta, abbreviation: KSSNT) was the thirteenth constituent republic in the history of the Soviet Union, establishing what was then the twelfth. Originally an autonomous republic under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation (АССР), Karelia-Finland was established on 30 March 1940 and was transformed out of the Russian Federation and elevated to a republic under the Soviet Union; it was abolished in 1956 and reincorporated into the Russian Federation and transformed into an autonomous republic under the Russian Federation, with the name "Karelia Soviet Socialist Autonomous Republic".

The RSFSR had as its State anthem various tunes. Firstly, it was the Worker's Marseillaise until 1918. Then, until 1944 it was the Internationale, from 1944 until 1990 RSFSR had the same anthem with the USSR and between 1999 and 1991 had Glinka's Patriotic Song as a State anthem.
