- In this video, I used a 5 steps long bassline with the Pattern sync ("P.SYn") parameter set to 'Always". Since i set the drum parts to 32 steps, the "motif" plays 6 times + 2 notes and so on.
To add some little variation, I randomly play with the pitch knob from time to time.
Unfortunately, I found out that it is impossible to play with the pitch knob and mute/unmute drums at the same time.
About settings, especially for the bassline :
- delay is set to 1-8
- sidechain is set to 30
- there is also a little bit of reverb
I always go straight to the description of your tracks as the information you give towards your jams are so valuable for beginners in using these aira compacts like my self. Definitely my favourite channel for using these little fun machines. Keep it up bigkik 😎

I do love and experiment with odd rhythms a lot and got to try this with my T-8 thanks to the "pattern length" feature the box provides. It's true menus and usability in general is not the best out there but THAT feature is a killer for me. Thanks for the video, it's very inspiring! Best wishes from Spain 🙌

I noticed the same effect on J-6 - cannot trigger a pattern change while adjusting filter or effect knobs; one thing at a time it seems.

Encore bravo pour cette démo🤩. Juste une petite précision dans le descriptif il est mentionné que le motif fait 5 pas et est joué 5 fois, vous pouvez me confirmer qu'il est joué 6 fois et non pas 5 (5x6+2=32) ? je suis preneur d'un peu plus d'infos sur le motif je n'arrive pas à le retrouver en écoutant la vidéo 😏

Le motif :
Step 1 : C3
Step 2 : vide
Step 3 : C4
Step 4 : D#5
Step 5 : vide
Le potentiomètre du pitch est reglé à -1.00 ; de cette manière il est plus facile de revenir à une valeur nominale après l'avoir tourné.

somehow I felt from all your device combinations this is the one single device you can make alone a "music". I just wait for Behringer to release the Hirotribe.

OMG, I didn’t realize what you were saying about pitch and mute. I have to try it as soon as possible.
How can I replicate it? Just move the pitch and mute or unmute some drum?

OK, I answer myself. I’ve already been able to try it and indeed, you’re absolutely right, when the pitch is being modified you cannot mute or unmute anything. What a limitation 😢

Yes, it is a little bit annoying. There is a way to overpass it by writing several patterns with pitch variations and/or with or without the desired drums but I found it less fun and I was running short on empty patterns so I went this way.
Since you discovered me this issue I’ve been trying to find a workaround, and the solution was always in front of my nose 😅, the volumen knob.
It’s not as accurate as mute/unmute but it works for me.

BK.....have you ever run this thru something like a korg kaoss mini??.....like for audio Fx? If so what do you think of such gear....the mini's.
Unfortunately i don't have any korg kaoss gear...
@@bigkik srry..... I was thinking of getting a S-1.... & run it through the mini....it's like half the size of Roland......ohh well..... You made a KiK aSs piece without it!!!!!!!.... Bravo 🍺.
@jaimeross7507 why not. But the S-1 as already a lot onboard to "sculpt" its sounds, a lot more than the T-8 and the J-6 ! There is a complete ADSR enveloppe plus a customisable LFO that you can assign to the filter cut off. Honestly the S-1 is a no brainer if you are looking for a proper synth, unless you want a bigger keyboard and/or analog circuitry.
