This man is raising a generation of creative film makers. I'm feel so proud of him for some reason. Good job man. I love that you educate and inspire youth.
As a media designer, I wanted to help explain the golden ratio, which is shown at 4:46 in the video. The golden ratio is a mathematical ratio (approximately 1.618) that’s often used in art and design to create visually pleasing compositions. In this scene, the spiral guides our attention to the character's face, especially the eye. Our eyes naturally follow the curve of the spiral, leading us to this focal point, which makes the shot feel balanced and well-composed. The background also follows the broader arc of the spiral, helping to direct our gaze from the landscape to the character. This subtle use of the golden ratio adds a cinematic quality to the video. Kudos to the mod creator for using such a powerful composition tool!
Oh my that scene with the singing was awesome, i really feel like if Minecraft creators became more innovative and creative instead of just following trends the game would be back in its former glory because just like this guy says there are endless ways to make content in Minecraft you just have to find a way to make it happen.
I can't get over how the expressions of your character model aren't JUST "there" but *actually* seem to contribute to the mood in ways that fit what you're saying. It's _incredible._
you are such a chill guy, not like the cartoony dog tiktok trend, but ur litteraly such a chill guy, ur calm and explain everything so easy. keep up the good work!
I've never relize until now, how much possibility that Minecraft actually gives me as a film student to make storyboard using Minecraft mods. That's actually a good thing.
Just use the Mchorse mod (BBS (for 1.20) or blockbuster (for 1.12.2)) which are literally MADE to make movies in Minecraft. It's Motion Capture but better and with more functionality.
If mojang did the minecraft movie with your ideas it would look a lot more promising than what they showed recently. Pd: this is one of the best videos I've seen in along time, it's so well made. I love it. Actually Minecraft moovie, filmed in minecraft. 100000 iQ
As someone who uses Essential religiously in modded Minecraft, the one feature I enjoy severely is how easy it is to connect w your friends. There's a whole social menu, including the ability to join your friends worlds and I can't express enough how useful it has been, you dont need a server to host your game, just launch the world w the essential mod and invite your friends
I adore your style man. Having you look around without dragging a camera makes it so much more pleasant. Your character expressing emotions with moving eyes is super fun- and every shot looks amazing. So refreshing, and you instantly earned a sub from me. I love it.
3:28 after the goat bit I screamed "HOW... HOW IS HE DOING THIS" at the top of my lungs. I wish we had mods like this in game so I can just nerd out in games I swear.
Laynce I have got to say, as someone who has enjoyed minecraft videos for the longest time, your style of editing is by far my favorite! It's very inspiring and engaging and I adore the use of cinematography!!! sincerely, someone who's bookmarked all these mods

As someone who enjoys the cinematography aesthetic and loves minecraft before I could even properly pronounce island. I appreciate your work. Your videography and scriptwriting on this is top notch!
Every minecraft video I find with normal clean editing and normal informative voice over with great content, is a great video to me. I have seen too many minecraft youtubers go from normal thoughtful content into hyper edited fake shouting nightmares. It makes me so sad every time, like they've signed their soul away for the youtube kids money. But this is a good video. :)
@@Ponderpine I grew tired of the style too. I wanted to make something that acted as a resting point for the rest of TH-cam. I’m glad you found my video quieter compared to others :D
As someone who is an irl videographer you really did a great job of introducing cinematography guidelines and ideas in a very approachable way to new people! Minecraft really has great opportunities for people to develop cinematography skills without needing to spend a lot of money and stepping outside of their comfort zone!! I also didn't know a lot of these mods, have to try them out at some point 😊
Thank you so much for this video. Minecraft cinematography is something I grew up watching as a kid but due to older mods used its harder to create like a minecraft roleplay for example. Will give each and everyone of these mods a try!
