Some of the scenes flesh things out. Christine only killed Repperton's crew and Darnell outright because they wronged her and Arne directly. She warned Dennis, and allowed someone to get to Leigh to save her from choking because she knew Arne cared about them, and chose to warn them first out of respect for that. But then you see Arne catch Leigh and Dennis kissing, how furious he gets, and it makes sense that it's actually Arne that tries to kill them at the end, not Christine driving herself. After Arne dies, Christine kills herself more so then tries to kill Dennis and Leigh in that bulldozer. She knew they'd kill her.
