By far out all the content creators out there you have the most well explained build guide.
Many thanks Joshua. 🤗
Yep
"An enemy that is blind and cannot deploy it's skills is rendered harmless."
Except that they mysterious always walk straight to you, still jump over benches, yell "I can't see!" and somehow know you threw a grenade at their feet and somehow change direction. Then the blind wears off, and they are right in your face and two-shot you.
Ubisoft and Massive they're like the casino they stack the deck so the house always wins.
This is probably THE thing I hate in this game. Every single dude, regardless of rank or type rush you. Hyena et Cleaner melee unit, OK I understand. Shotgun Black Tusk, alright I can deel with it. Outcast suicide bomber, yep that's the deal. Every other unit? STAY THE HELL AWAY! And it's not even for flanking, they just come right to your face at point blank and I don't know if anyone noticed but there seems to but missing hit detection at point blank range. Except they don't have this issue so they empty a mag and you are dead way before the mag is empty. But you on the other hand empty a mag and it's like nothing happened because no hit was detected.
i saw multiple times blinded heavies shooting on you, once they aim at you blinding probably doesn´t work.
Yea, definitely some crazy AI. I run a CC build with slightly better rolls than this and I can agree the NPC's have an uncanny ability to track you when blind. I use the incendiary grenades to light them on fire after they are blinded and that seems to be able to keep them at bay along enough for my teammates to burn them down.
If your staying in the same place long enough to watch them stagger towards you and dodge ur grenades then you doing it wrong lol...
Hi! I am Eminix1234 also from DUK clan. Very good build. I use a similar one almost all the time during heroic missions. I have a different approach to skill haste though. I use 4 pieces of hard wired which gives me a skill Feedback Loop. When I use or cancel a skill, the second one is refreshed. Hard Wired backpack reduces the cooldown of that talent from 20 to 10 seconds! When I manage the cooldowns properly I can practically throw skills all the time. It also allows me to quickly get one skill ready when the situation is hot by simply using the second one.
On chest I use Tag Team talent - the last enemy you have damaged with a skill is marked. Dealing weapon damage to that enemy consumes the mark to reduce active cooldowns by 4s. Although blinder does not deal damage, jammer does so I can reduce cooldowns even faster.
During missions without Black Tusks, I use firestarter chem launcher instead of the jammer. It works perfectly with a build optimized for status effect since the most of the damage done by that skill comes from burning effect (which lasts almost 10 seconds so it's also a good way for crowd control). The enemy hit by firestarter cloud is damaged for total 2,5M damage which is I think even better than seeker mines. Add to that blinder and some elite enemies aren't even able to shoot a single round cause they are blinded, burned or both :)
It's a good thing that you promote some more diverse builds since a good crowd controller alone is a huge game-changer for the rest of the team. Crowd control skills are not only defensive (since enemies are inactive) but they also add a lot to the total DPS of the team because enemies are out of cover and easy to shoot.
Keep up the good work!
I use this build a lot on console. My only differences are the weapons as I use the Diamond back rifle and a police M4. The native damage of the diamond back hits really hard especially on pre weakened enemies, and the fire rate of the M4 can burst down or get enemies to run away giving me space to move. A LMG works ok too, but with no room for better handling gear and the reload speed makes it highly situational. i also have a second variation of the build where I run stinger hive and blinder firefly. With this I blind, run into the pack, drop the hive and retreat behind the enemy when possible for a rear attack. The hive has 14 charges and so even as they stagger away they're getting hit. It's super risky, but really satisfying when it works out. I've tried using jammer and hive, but heavies wreck the hive before it gets going. Also if you get the named Pyromaniac M4 and use the survivalist specialisation grenade along with the Acosta Go Bag. That can make things very interesting 🙂
I’ve used a variation of this build for quite some time. I use Mad Bomber so I can use the grenades more liberally in the missions keeping the overcharge effect uptime as high as possible ... I use shock trap for non-BT missions and jammer for BT. Great video ... very informative and super well organized ...
Just started running this build last night so my gear is only in it's infancy but even with some mediocre rolled pieces, this build is so good for team play. Just testing it out on heroic bounties with a full group of randoms, it made doing them a breeze. Most people didn't take long to catch on to what you were doing either (which is a nice change from the players from another unnamed D2...), and they were quick to try and maximize the damage output in the window I was giving them. I kept the Blinder Firefly in every bounty run but the second skill got swapped out a few times. Pulse isn't nearly as good outside Black Tusk so I tried out Oxidizer Chem Launcher, Shock Trap (which is stupid fun when overcharged), and played around a tiny bit with Cluster Seekers. This may possibly become my go to for group play.
The thing that separates u from other content youtubers is that u take ur time and put a lot of thought into ur vids.. i thank you for that..
Nice to see someone not complaining and just enjoying the game with differant builds i will be farming. you gave me a purpose to use the back pack
No reason to complain, just farm and get better.
Yeah the whiner twitch pros constant complaining is getting old. Subbed.
Made this build today.....wow, that was really satisfying. The ability to stop the dogs and mini tanks is priceless.
I’ve had the most success in heroic missions with someone running this type of build. But when you’re with randoms you don’t know what they are going to bring to the party - so I’m gonna add this load out now I my glass cannon pretty much sorted. Cheers Buzz
Good luck and I know you will enjoy the build.
This is a real carry build in pugs. You control the battlefield, great to have in your loadouts. My favo build.
I've been using this build for about 3 weeks it's good to see the youtubers are getting it out there now so more people build for it the riot foam is brilliant with a 20sec ensnare and 6 charges plus the firefly you can just cc everything
Video saved good sir! Your understanding of builds are unmatched! You've helped me so much
Nice to see some diversity instead of DPS DPS DPS. Nice build.
Very cool build I use the artillery turret as of now for my skill built but will rework n get this build a go.
There are so many viable builds besides stacking reds but the community so easily gets pigeonholed by people just copying each other.
I totally agree!
I made my own critchance and armor build works great in DZ.
DPS is just a paper player, i am a healer and CC and they die 10 times or more
After watching a few videos like this one, I now have a clearer vision and understanding regarding how to manage cooldown on skills.
Thanks! 😃
Yo I got the back pack and holster now I need everything else. This is good stuff. Keep it coming
👍
The armor bar on that heavy at the end refused to go down lol. Great video man thanks for the tips, people need to realize crowd control is key on these harder difficulties not DPS.
Yeah Eric, he is a total beast final boss!
Running a very similar build, non brand holster, 3 piece china,1 pc hana-u, and the sokolov "firm hand shake" for the status bonus. Throw in the Everlasting Gaze for +50% status effect and you can chain lock enemies. These builds are sick on Heroic and Legendary missions and really help shape the battlefield.
Status Effect builds are the "real" Heroic/Legendary meta right now.
Finally some good video! Instead of all those annoying Glitch/DPS builds. This is how the game needs to be played! Thank you
Glad to help out! 💪
We got our first legendary done last night , with a lot of help with this build it certainly made it a lot easier to control those bully's
I really enjoy this build. I run a similar one but it's the same. Great video.. Also I wanted to say a week ago I had a guy starting up a Legendary mission and had the nerve to say..the build wasn't strong enough... I just left the group. He had NO IDEA... what this build can do..
His loss. :P
...sir buzz we expect nothing less .....great vids, presentation and delivery flawless as always....
3x China 1x Golan 1x Hana U 1x Improvise holster Creeping death and mad bomber as talents. Survivalist with incendiary grenades. Destroys everything. Hot swapping loadouts in between encounters refresh’s your grenades too 😎
Thanks alot for another great and helpful video.
I see now where I have to make the fine tune of my build to push it in the right direction. I run with seekers and turret, but this is an other option and it is also a good inspiration for a "statuseffect build" like yours. thanks again. Cheers
Status Effects is where you need to be investing your time. It is soooo strong and can carry even an average squad to a completion.
I love that jammer pulse in the room with all the skil chests when you doing the mission to kill keener, my team mates dances and im using the jammer on the whole room, but big thanks for this vid, i need to get better gear so my cooldowns get better
I run a similar build. But the pulse only against the BT. Dont sleep over the trap. Against any other faction is very usefull. Npc are blinded but they still run around. In the trap they dont move and the DD can take them out easy. On ST6 you can fill a complete room with the trap. Against BT the hammer is best in slot.
Best regards from Germany
I use the shock trap versus non Black Task NPCs.
Seems like very powerful support build. I enjoyed watching your video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video sir! Your content is Top Tier quality, and this community needs this now more than ever. Keep it up.
Thank you so much Shadow Gaming.
Great build! I tried it out the other day, doing a heroic black tusk mission, and despite not killing many, really felt like I played a big part in getting through it with minimal fuss. A lot of fun, something different. I just need to get that stupid go bag to really take advantage.
Grats on using the build and don't worry about not doing the damage. That Crowd Control is just as important to keeping the Black Tusk under control as any DPS build could be.
I've been running this build for about a week and we finished our legendary set with it! I use technician though for emp nades specifically for white tusk because having more cc for their tech/doggos. I use the chest that gives your teammates 12% more damage when I'm in cover too. Due to our TP tank using the exotic chest. Fantastic build for teamplay.
If you are running tacticians remember you don't need 6 piece electronics for skill tier 6 since tacticians grants +1 tier alone. You can swap one of your cores for armor or a little extra damage.
@@nfsfanAndrew yup when I'm running tech I actually opt for one blue so I have a little more armor. If I go down my team stuffers and it wouldn't add enough dps to actually make much of a difference
Good call on unbreakable. I'm trying to find a good wyvern chest with it right now.
I'm running a wyvern mask, wyvern chest (mad bomber), china light holster, acosta's go bag, Hana-u gloves, and china light knee pads with survivalist.
I switch to the fire grenade for extra CC when my blinder and banshee/jammer are gainfully employed. The mad bomber perk sets a lot of the ground in fire and all the status effects boost leaves it lingering forever. With the go bag you get so many grenades and get one refunded every 60 seconds. It's fun.
Creeping death backpack is also great with this build. Give it a shot!
I've been trying to craft a good improvised holster after this video, but maaaaan.. I hate RNG 😂
King Macho is cool. Thanks for all the vids Buzz. Need to see some good skill based solo farm builds.
FYI: skill duration mods do not affect the length of status effects, so a duration mod would be absolutely useless for a firefly blinder and a jammer pulse. The same goes for a single piece of Murakami or Wyvern 3 piece. You could also leave Golan as armour and roll an attribute then use the Technician specialist. You'd only lose the bonus damage to status effected enemies for teammates. Which sucks, but it's a way to get closer to a CC build that works in legendary.
I am using something similiar.
But tbh the extra 50% status effect you can get from your weapon is not needed, because you can blind them non stop anyways. So I prefer a weapon that deals 20% more damage to blind enemies.
Another Variation that is quiet fun is to have that imperial dynastie holster that sets an enemy on fire. And on the Backpack that Talent that spreads out Status effects.
That way a new spawning group will be on fire immediatly, giving you time to Set up your other skills while dealing damage. You cant overcharge then anymore, but it just makes me giggle when i see a door opening and already burning enemies come out of it. Its really satisfying.
Not sure whats the better choice, but for the real tough stuff i would stick to Acosta and drop the burning.
Tag Team is amazing for the chest piece. Near unlimited blind/emp on harder difficulties.
I run a crowd control. Totally worth it when doing Black Tusk missions.
I run the blinder on my 80+% Red (non glass canon) Overwatch Sniper. It's not as effective as it in on a Tier 6 skill build but I also make heavy use of my flash bang grenades.
My tactic is: try to spot the grenade throwers, drone launchers or tech types; then take off their head with my White Death.
Not quite up to running heroic and legendary but it is workable.
Thanks for this. My clan are more casual but want to move up past challenging. I am going to try this.
I have this same build. This makes fighting the tusk soooo easy. Sometimes the ransoms I play with just sit back in boredom. Lol
I am totally going to try this! Thanks.
I think this build is even more effective in the most recent TU updates. I run full DPS & always seem to get a rando who’s using a similar skill build, it’s a beautiful thing for them to blind everyone!?! & then I can really lay into them! Teamwork makes the dream work lol
Exactly!
Definitely going to add this to my loadouts.... One question though. Why don't you open with a grenade to kick it all off if that's one of the perks of the backpack? Grenade... Firefly.... Pulse... rinse and repeat?
I've being running a similar build like this for about a month now. I use 4 Hard Wired piece, with Exotic chest piece and then a golen gloves.
The reason is it's not important to have 20 odd sec on blinds etc as they sometimes miss and also shoot down ur firefly.
so I found it best to run like I've said above because if you manage it correctly you throw your skills every 10sec so you dont need to max out your status effect just have more than 10sec. I have over 14sec for jammer and 18sec for blind which is more than enough. Also with the 4 Hard Wired you can spam the jammer every 10sec none stop coz the jammer refreshes the skill usage on your Hardwired. Trust me run it like that and if not feel free to add me PSN: GIB_SEPHIROTH. I run heroics in 2 players and u dont have to be a glass cannon or even well geared. I can clear heroics really easy with friends and take it easy.
Thanks for the post Leif.
Nice build definitely different from others and it will help in legendary modes 👍👍👍
same build but i have skilled on chest to get skills back it proc a lot and no cool down on skills is vital in legendry because what you dont say is in a good group you can kill npc in less then 23 sec so u you have longer cooldown but they can spawn sometimes in quicker when you kill a first wave npc and you should use grenade before firefly
Try running Everlasting Gaze for the 50% Status Effect duration on a 16s CD. Or Run a M1A with the talent (just a longer CD) if you want to help out a little more with the damage.
I've starting using a Mk17 with Perpetuation and it is hot!
You sound like the guy from "Hows its Made" As long as you know that, I can die a happy man. Thank you!
Mad Bomber is a great talent to use for the chest.
Even better when using the cluster grenades from Firewall.
I have the same billed but I used spotter in body armour for 15% plus damage it makes sense with puls up all the time
That would be a good idea, but the jammer pulse does not work like the normal pulse. It won't proc the Spotter damage.
Golan mask was indeed hard to find, but i found 2 and it was worth it, status on 1 piece is gold. I have imperial dynasty for the third cc, my pulse is 13.8 sec with a 9.8 cd, blind is 23.9 with a 22.3 cd, im using wicked backpack with a glass cannon chest for some type of dps increase, but now watching this gives me something to mess around with.
I made this build a long time ago! Yet I play solo. So when I match make. Random players just don’t have the builds to complement my build! So it’s a struggle to complete!! Thumps up tho!
I run a similar build with 3pc China light, Hana u, Golan, and Acosta. Got lucky with Golan and rolled max status effects and 10.5% skill haste.
I was wondering how you would feel about using the technician specialization to get the extra tier and rolling damage to Golan or just keeping it with armor and rerolling into status or haste. I tried it myself with mixed results.
Great video thank you for the support.
My man! 👊
Thank you for explaining the rationale behind his build, providing a breakdown of attributes, and demonstrating it's capabilities. Great content. Subscribed.
If you have time, would you be able to take a look into an issue I have noticed with shotgun damage? All shotguns seems to be doing half the damage it is supposed to. For example, while testing in the shooting range (5m distance/Elite/Heroic), a Boomstick (1.3M dmg), is only dishing out ~600k damage. I have tested other shotguns (spas, aa12, sweet dreams) and I am seeing the same results. This doesn't seem reasonable to me.
How do you feel about using the Imperial Dynasty holster with creeping death on the backpack? I use the firefly but was using seeker mines. I'll try the jammer pulse & have one of my teammates use the mines. Great video! Also, I use the Tech specialization for the extra skill tier & allows me to add 1 piece of weapons damage gear & foam grenades.
Fire isn't as effective versus the Black Tusk, so I would avoid it.
Really like your contend tl, subbed and liked. Keep them comming!
Regarding your little tip with the Acosta Go bag at 4:50. I've been trying to figure this out because I'll throw a grenade sometimes and not hit someone and it activates and sometimes is doesn't. Or maybe it disappears before I deploy my skill. Is it 15 seconds if you cause dmg but like 3 seconds if you don't? Or something
See THIS RIGHT HERE is the "raid mindset" that the devs wanted people to get into, I believe. Similar to how effective raiding is done in other games - like World of Warcraft. A bit less spreadsheets and maths involved, but definitely leaning towards each person having an actual role rather than just "everyone piling on DPS and hoping for the best".
Looks fun, will try it. Thank you, Harry.
It is extremely useful Harry.
Cool build 👍
Thanks Bob and thanks to Macho for getting me into this build concept.
that's just amazing great way to think out of the box keep it up
Thank you and I really like using this build with my squad on Legendary.
Great job and build
Many thanks!
I use the same build, it is really effective and highly recommended.
👍
Sweet build, maybe try an everlasting gaze for that 50% extra duration when you headshot someone, go full CC build.
This looks like a fun build. I was wondering if the new TU9 update has had any effect on it.
Very nice build indeed, you’ve earned a sub
Awesome, thank you!
Interesting that you chose not to build around 3 piece China Light. I would have thought that would be the basis, but I really like where you've taken this build!
Thanks again for making really classy videos that are thoroughly thought-out.
Much love.
Adam.
P. S -thoughts on the Everlasting Gaze?
Just an idea use the Nightwatcher if you can find one with status effects then use a golan gear holster instead
Wouldn't skill duration be better to add duration effect time, seeing as how neither skills cause any on going affect damage to be boosted by status affect bonuses?
Damn excellent build to help keep your DPS mates alive!
Thanks the plan SeterraNova. If the Black Tusk are blind and can't spam their skills, you stand a really good chance of finishing them off.
Instead of status effect how about skill damage? Thoughts plz
I could...I use a HW skill damage build, but I could at least send you a screenshot of my build. Do you Twitter?
LtBuzzLitebeer unfortunately I don’t. So I’m currently using combined arms with glass cannon. Three pieces HW with one piece wyvern and two piece Hanna. Just skill damage and haste. Thoughts plz. Discord is what I use and my handle is Dreyfusbuck. Also PSN.
Hi man....any changes with the new update? also, is it better to use Survivalist rather than the gunner and have banshee? one last question...what about a backpack with Creeping Death? isn't it better to use to spray the status?
thumbs up for the videos man! best build explainer out there by far
Thank you Thiago!
Other content creators can take a page out of your notebook on talking about builds. Well done.
Huge thanks NattyGains! 👏👏👏
I've been thinking of working on something like this soon. I've been banking a few decent items with status effect on them, but haven't actually tried to arrange them together yet. I hadn't thought about using sweet dreams on this build, but I have a god roll sweet dreams and want to use it on SOMETHING :)
Acosta's go bag specifically says you have to damage someone though, and you're saying you just need to throw it?
So far, it will work just for tossing it...shhhhhh
That 1 shot melee can really come in handy versus red and blue bar BT medics.
@@LtBuzzLitebeer That is interesting, because it means it could work for non-damaging grenades too maybe?
@@LtBuzzLitebeer blue? You mean purple maybe 👀?
What is your status effect duration now. Ever since the update awhile back the longest I can get with pulse is 9s and 13.6 for the fire fly. This video inspired me to do this build and I loved it up until the nerfed the effect times.
Does the nightwatcher mask work with this build for 100% pulse haste? Does it really come back right away or is it still a cooldown for the jammer pulse?
Any comment about what Specaliaztion is best for this build? Does it matter much?
Love this build. If only I had the skills to use it!
What is the best group balance for legendary? Cc, dps, tank, healer ratio. So for example 1cc, 1healer, 2dps? Also can you include your other team members builds?
Most common build is 1 CC, 1 Healer and 2 DPS. If your group is well coordinated, you could go with 2 CC 2 DPS or 1 CC and 3 DPS.
LtBuzzLitebeer Thank you! Also continue with the great content. You are one of the best with your clear and concise videos. You are straight to the point and offer great insights.
@@smithbroaaron i would dump healer, they can´t outheal heavies, tanks, drones snipers.... you see where i am going :D. If you are not successfull with 3DPS + 1 CC go Pointman patriot tank who supports group in DMG and provides small heals too...
wonderful build.
Thank you Michael! 👍
Is it me, or does the blind status end a lot quicker on Heavies? I notice they seem to come out of the status a lot quicker.
Hey LtBuzz. Great content as usual. Do you still have contact with the devs. They are killing this game with the bans and how many things are broken in-game right now. Can you make a video covering this or reach out directly?
A skill.build for legendary??! Man i love it! This is my play style!
YES!
awesome build to control the battefield.
That's the idea! If you watch my latest video, I am using this build versus the Outcasts and have subbed in the Shock Trap instead of the Jammer. I am also playing aggressively to complete the Stage 10 time requirements.
Thank you for the build i try it last nite and its was fun to play. Ok, i am not the top dps anymore but you are a support role and you still can bring back you team mate when they drop. I didn't have all the right gear max out and i put other gear until i get better. I am not that far from your stat you show us in the video.
Question:
- do you have to pre select every npc you can before sending the firefly? i thought it will auto select npc close to the initial target (got 6 skill tier with the exo BP)
- there a named mask with 100% pulse haste is this something that can help? (got skill haste as secondary stat and modified to get 1 skill tier)
Thank again, i really enjoy the play style last nite and i enjoy to play divison 2 again.
You need to target the NPCs and that mask only helps with regular pulse, not the jammer.
Can you link to a vid that shows how to get the bag?
Nice!!! Subbed.
What can I use instead of Acosta go bag
Either the Wyvern, Hana-U backpacks will work as well. You really need that backpack for all the talents. Keep looking and ask others when you are running with them to drop it should they get one and not need it.
Ooo.. Buzz dude. Is this built around Survivalist?
Great video, LtB. The Survivalist specialization is definitely the best one for this build. I assume the Tac Link & Crunch Time perks attracted you to this specialization? I use this specialization for my Healer and Bleed Builds but after watching your video, I'm going to take another look at Pulse and the Firefly. I had not investigated either of these skills since before TU8 but with the new skill system, this makes more sense to test out a new build using one or both.
All good points here OP
What about the chest talent tag team?
What was the gun you used in the last part of the video?
What specialization should we use for this?
I was using Survivalist. It has some really good talents like Survivalist Tactical Link and Crunch Time.
Thank you, awesome video! Was curious, what’s your opinion for solo players for farming gear, is it worth going above challenging difficulty risk vs reward? I have made several builds from great TH-camrs but struggle usually on the final boss.
Dan V I do a lot of solo farming and I find it better to play challenging and heroic for somewhat better rolls and gear. As far as the final boss I can usually beat certain bosses others I’ll call backup if I know I’ll struggle with the final boss. If you know how to position yourself and utilize the space around you you’ll be able to solo heroics. It’s always easier to be patient then to go in guns blazing lol
Do you use Technician with it?
ending is the story of my life in the Division 2 bad loot drops lol
Indeed
If you’re accurate, you should substitute the Everlasting Gaze as your primary. It has Perfect Perpetuation.
How can I get the non brand holester?
Craft it.
@@LtBuzzLitebeer Thank you
this build still works or have you tweaked it since then? nice build i think ill try it tho
overwatch is by far better than Unbreakable because ALL your team gets skill and weapon damage which is always better than the damage that you can do. A must !
