I wonder if we'll see Obi Wan change the ignition switches to the bubble switches on his own and Anakin's. I know, it's a small detail that I've been over thinking LOL.
All those parts were researched and ID by the RPF forums people more than 15 years years ago. It would be nice and respectful to mention the sources, as they did all the job. Many RPF's had replicas as good as this one. Of course, they researched and spent good money them for years before finding the correct pieces.
I’m sorry but he’s incorrect, there are way more than 10. That all real parts Obi-Wan lightsaber consists of a female balance pipe. There have been 5 jet engines found with the correct balance pipe and a handful of NOS pipes found. Each engine consists of nine female balance pipes. The female balance pipe is by far the most expensive hard to acquire part. So that makes 45 total possible Obi-wan real parts lightsaber if the rest of the parts are found and I’m betting most of those people have the rest of the parts because I know most of them including myself. If you want more info I’d suggest joining the RPF or Replica Prop Forum. There is a huge thread about the subject by some very educated people.
WW 1 was from a time well before my era. It's rather confusing to see so many claims of using original parts. Historical images of the MK British rifle grenade samples I have been able to find are all made from brass between the wind vane and the emitter, yet there are so many claims of being "Original Replicas" when a lot of them are obviously made of copper and the brass windvane is stamped with a company logo " The Cotton Powder Company, LTD " ?
Go put one together with all real vintage parts and come back to me and say that. The parts are extremely hard to get all together that’s the big deal. If you don’t like it don’t comment.
idk its super cool but theres a ton of exaggeration here. there are without a doubt more than 10 of real part obi wan sabers in the world. the price is not 15k its 5k (check roman props they have sold all real part sabers). the holy grail would be a screen used prop wouldn't it?
@@GeekCulture Seems like an false advertisement to me. I am in the German saber community and everyone says, that Neopixel will never survive a duel. Look at the blade in the video. There are several dark spots. These are the parts, where the LEDs die down. Neopixel is not for fighting, if you do, you will regret it.
Omg this video makes me soo angry. Why you had to do this? 1:20 less than 10? Like yours? Come on...Also I am pretty sure his washers are not accurate because we still did not identify where they came from. Also the transistors are not supposed to be DAT11, you CANNOT see the DAT on the reference photos! They are supposed to be MAxx, most probably MA09 which was found in another calculator. So this lightsaber is NOT the holy grail, NOT 100% accurate. I won't even watch the whole video, to listen more bullshit because this is just false.
With all these original parts put together this is what we were told. I would tend to agree with Jay as he is pretty invested into this and it took him years to find all the necessary parts, working with collectors and on a number of forums
This video is BS. There are a lot more than 10 in the world. The parts are rare and not that easy to come by, but not impossible. I’ve made three of them in the last five years.
Ok, so it’s not the actual prop used in the movie. This dude tracked down all the original parts used to make the prop and put it together himself. Sort of like building a Lego set by tracking down the parts instead of buying the actual set arranged, packaged and sold by Lego. I get the original parts are rare finds, and putting it together is really cool. But I would not call any of these items “the holy grail”. They are not the actual movie props.
This lightsaber will make a fine addition to any Starwars collection!
Agree!
an elegant weapon for a more civilised age... ❤❤
Indeed. It’s beautiful
I love the OG sabers that use the motors and the reflecting material
I wonder if we'll see Obi Wan change the ignition switches to the bubble switches on his own and Anakin's. I know, it's a small detail that I've been over thinking LOL.
Haha I’m not sure. I think Obi Wan has some story issues they need to work out first 😂
Awesome! I'm looking for an Obi Wan saber online to buy but you can't beat this!
Indeed! It’s beautiful
Roman props is good. Kr sabers will be doing one soon. And Dave P has a run on RPF forum coming soon.

The forums were mentioned but to be honest for a video it’s hard to mention every single person in a video. Hope you understand.
@@GeekCulture but you didnt Mention anyone at all
@@drip671 - he means they mentioned it during the interview but that part got cut.
you have the original parts and you still don't make the windvane the same size?
Wow just wow wow wow i need it! Wow
Agree 💯
gold content, SM customer here. this hobby will cost so much hole tho, had to hold back from collecting xD
Thank you for watching. Haha yes this hobby can get expensive
I wonder if there's any lightsaber companies that made replicas of this one's in to a neopixel lightsaber.?.?.?
Roman Props Mk 1 FX
No D ring?
Remember the "H" on the pommel of obiwan's hilt stands for highground
That or Hot water 👍😊
Or do you go 'C' cold so the blue matches the blade? 🤷♂️

What is hilt?
Hilt is the handle or base of the saber
@@GeekCulture Thank you my friend. So would the term hilt be used for handles for swords and knives like in the show Forged in fire?
Obi Wan would have the cold knob
Valid point

SUBSCRIBED!! 🤩🤩🤩🎬🎬🎬
Thank you!
What's the Big deal,. It's NOT the actual Alec Guinness prop!!
As you probably know the original was dismantled after filming ANH
@@jakobmzrdu7932 allegedly.
It's not a replica. That's the deal.

id buy any of them IF ONLY THEY WERE NOT SO EXPENSIVE
The one’s Sabermach makes are ok in terms of pricing.

No, you can not fight with Neopixel-blades! The LEDs will start to die and with a price of 100 to 150 Dollar, that would be a pretty expensive fight.
Well Sabermach does have a saber team that duels and battles regularly and they seem to hold up

Yeah I wouldn't call it the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail would be the screen used hero prop.
I’d get it but $600 Jesus I just spend $300 starting my marvel collection by getting stormbreaker and mjolnir
You won’t be disappointed with the saber at all
About 10 in the world? I know that ain't right lmao
With all these original parts put together this is what we were told. I would tend to agree with Jay as he is pretty invested into this and it took him years to find all the necessary parts, working with collectors and on a number of forums
There are many in the world.
But not as many with the complete 100% found parts, with accurate alignments for every detail.
