Great video! Always some little historical nuggets about the valley😁. Some super creepy old houses in town. I always heard the old "Goat ranch" was super haunted. Not sure of its origin but at one time it was the town brothel. Im sure if those walls could talk they'd have a lot to say. It's been an apartment building my whole life. I wonder if the residence have felt any ghostly vibes.👻
Thanks Ashleigh!!!!! this one was kind of out my niche but something compelled me to pursue it. I have another one I have been working on about local legend's/folklore/urban myths of the valley :)
Many of house haunting in port, specially with the relocated logging homes. Those homes seen really tough times in the valley! Im surprised mcclains mill doesnt have ghost stories! 😊
I talked to a lot of people about that! tones of stories just hard to look into. I almost didn't make this video as there were not a lot of concreate tales. It inspired to me to make the next video "legend's of the valley" more about not ghosts but weird stories!!!!!
Thank you for the sub!!!! I have had that idea on my list for awhile now. There defiantly are a lot of "sightings" in this area. Funny story I was up Mt Arrowsmith years back and ran into this guy and his wife making a documentary about the Sasquatch and they interviewed me for it.
When I was a kid I lived on Steede Ave. Then we moved to Sproat lake, then to Ontario. No ghosts. BTW the ghost your friend claims he saw at Great Central was likely a sasquatch. They have glowing eyes and many people report orbs above them. Not sure if you know, but Steve Isdhal is a big TH-camr on this subject out of Port. I'm across the mountain in Fanhy Bay. Next summer I want to go back to a couple locations where I'm pretty sure I had squatch experiences, before I learned about them.
Yes I do know Steve, he was one of the first guys I watched on youtube. I have actually had a number of people wanting a sasquatch video and it got me to thinking, I would like to know more about your experience's if you willing :)
@IslandUncharted I have always done solo deep wilderness trips and after I learned about SS I thought back to some strange experiences I had which could have been explained as SS. One was in Desolation Sound having intense fear projected on me which left me shaken and baffled. Another was in backcountry Garibaldi Park where I think I walked right through a clan... I still have some video footage from that to review. And earlier this year I had a tree break in my yard which is classic SS, and I see as impossible to be broken by an animal.
I have a serious passion for shipwrecks, especially local ones. I know this story/incident, I have read diff accounts of the tale. This wreck and the loss of life contributed to the advent of lighthouses here on the coast. Thank you!

Just subscribed, you should look into doing a video about Sasquatch sightings in the area. Apparently Port Alberni is very active on the island.

So many old cool houses in the PNW!
The further you get away from civilization the more you find :)

Ghost ship Valencia is my favourite.
