These videos are making me homesick. I left Abilene 50+ years ago and seldom get back. These locations and images reconnect me with the 50's and 60's. Thanks.
I just came across your channel and absolutely love it. I just picked up a FujifilmGSWii and am feeing super inspired after seeing your images! Reminds me of modern day Stephen Shore / William Eggelston. Can't wait to see more
@@MarcusLloyd it’s not bad, just a lot of brown tones, not much variation in color so it can get bland at times. Some of my more recent photos on my Instagram are from Lubbock on 35mm if you’re curious- @emulsion.vhs
Hey cool video! I just love all the old sineage in the US, great idea to document them before they disappear for good. I'd definitely like to see a zine on the back of this!
Hey Marcus! Great shots! I wanted to get myself a Texas Leica but I wanted to know how you focus the shot with it. I am new to Film Rangefinders so that would be great if you could answer! Keep up the good work!
Hey Brian, they can be a bit tricky at first but usually the patch in the center will align when you’re in focus. I typically compose and then look for a sharp corner to focus on
Very true. The shutter sound might be the only thing I don’t like about it. Obviously not that big of a deal for what you get with the lens and form factor
I would start with things that tend to still look retro like skating rings, liquor stores, donut shops, theatres, etc. Then i will google maps around that area for more and work it that way. some spots would be gold and others would only have the one shot
Love that you highlighted parts of Dallas that people really don’t get the chance to see. As always, beautiful images.
Youre the best!

I have a few more on the way. Gotta love being back home
Loved this view of Texas. My favorite shots were 7:41, 8:16, and 13:07. Keep em coming
More to come!

It we only had buildings like that in belgium!! Love this video really gives me a US vibe. You shot the film on boxspeed?
Man I’ve been dying to make it to Belgium. I shot pretty much everything at half box speed even Ektar 100
@@MarcusLloyd if you ever come to belgium let me know!! I love to make a walk with you and show you around Antwerp and Brussels.
Nice! Makes me want to head down south again. So you're scanning everything yourself?
Yea i use an epson v500 scanner. actually plan on making an episode about it.
Great photos! Were the photos shot on box speed?
Niko Aldam thanks Niko! Everything was shot overexposed 1 stop. Even the Ektar, which I think is something I will continue to do
Count me in for a Zine bro! Super dope video!
Nikko Gadsden nice! Thanks bro
Cool Vids man!
Fraser West Thanks Fraser
Nice video. I love that camera. I have the original GWS 690. Just wish the click sound was more satisfying. Subscribing to your channel.

My man 👊🏾
I’n interested in a zine man. Did you end up doing it yet?
Actually in the final steps of getting it printed. I’m honestly thinking I should add more photos to it but not sure.
Yes, make a zine!
Scott Magoon 💯
And I need the zine
Got one for you bro
you how you be finding these spots online bro?
I would start with things that tend to still look retro like skating rings, liquor stores, donut shops, theatres, etc. Then i will google maps around that area for more and work it that way. some spots would be gold and others would only have the one shot
@@MarcusLloydthanks! That makes a lot of sense. I'm going to try it out ✌🏾
Yooo i'd like a zine please
