Oh Anna, you find the best antique sewing items! Your thread-a-day projects are looking good! It's like the tortoise and the hare - you are making slow, but steady progress :) Yes, the sound of the ocean, gentle rain or a mountain creek is so soothing that it puts me to sleep too. Ahhhh.... Enjoyed the visit :)
I remember living in Colorado Springs when you were talking about the rain. It would rain nearly every afternoon, It was just enough to cool things down a bit and make everything fresh!!
Your little stitched girl turned out so cute! I haven’t heard all your stories....keep telling them.....loved hearing about being born on the beach and sleeping on the beach as your parents fished. What a wonderful memory. Have a wonderful week. Blessings and take care.
I love the teapot pincushion! Sweet! You are really doing loads of stitches on your projects. I am using the one strand a night system and I love it. Lots of wonderful projects on the FB group. Pandemic is just beautiful! I love the stories you tell about your family and especially your Mom. Some things just bear repeating, too, so never feel like you can't retell a memory. I hope you have a great evening with your guests. Happy stitching. Happy Mother's Day.
I am trying to do one thread a day on Pandemic but then I start to really enjoy working on it and can’t put it down! I loved the sound of the rain, where I live we seldom get any. Thanks for stitching with us.
Loved seeing you again. Another great video. Your Korean girl is soooo cute. What a lovely present! I wish it would rain here in central Florida, it has been hot and dry. I love listening to the rain. Just love your projects and love the one strand a day idea! Be well, take care, luv you, Karen
I finally figured out why I couldn’t comment although I’ve been on TH-cam over ten years. So I’ve got to let you know I’ve been a fan girl stalker of yours for over three years on Quilt Roadies. You have enabled me to the tune of hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I only started cross stitching at the start of the lockdown. Then I got my sister hooked. I finished my version of Pandemic last year. I found out about it because of you. However, I picked out elements of the pattern and added borders from other patterns. The stitched part is 13” x 16” on 14 count Aida. I added a fabric border. It is finished as a quilted wall hanging. It was my first cross stitch project. I’ve spent many hours stitching with you. Thanks!
Thank you for such a wonderful video!! That Korean girl is beyond precious!!! What a lucky recipient!! Will help with positive image of herself. Makes me want to do on for a gf of mine who is adopted. She struggles with not knowing her birth family. She has built a Korean friends group. A wonderful, giving woman. And thx so much for the strategy of one floss a day. I am mired down with my pandemic sampler. Got just over half way in 6 months. Yeah I was on track for a finish within a year. Set it down for a couple weeks, then when I tried again it would not stitch right!! Ugh. But I can handle one thread!! Brilliant. So what if I go over a year!! Saw the look on my daughters face when she saw it. I assured her I had plans to donate it to our county museum. Relief flooded her face. LOL. The rest of your video was wonderful, too. You look very happy and relaxed! Hugs. Grown grandson is here for the weekend. Have had the best time!! He and grandpa went fishing yesterday. Came home early because they had ONE nibble. Tgen the set to working on the goal of the day: cutting down a junk tree!! Mission accomplished!! Now they are fishing again. Hoping for better luck. BTW he is beyond precious. Gave me a bouquet for Mother’s day!! With a great card. How fortunate am I?
Anna, Surprise, surprise, surprise!! I was stitching on a Prairie Schooler Santa on an 18 count while watching you. I usually stitch on linen but am loving the 18 count Putty Davis!! Happy Mother’s Day!!❤️🧵🪡❤️
Oh how I look forward to your videos. I did ask about a SAL and will participate in the Prairie Schooler. I read most of Maeve Binchey who has now passed on. In her novels she also depicted everyday life. Thanks for sharing Tana French will definitely download. I’ll be stitching with you.
Thank you. I have gone down the rabbit hole and have learnt the basics of cross stitch via the internet. The kitted projects (and more and more are on their way) are started and plethora of associated cross stitch accoutrements lovingly tended to. How can I be so excited and so content at the same time?
I think most of my early cross stitch patterns were all either linen or even weave fabrics! I can only think of one Aida project I did and that was on black..yes I know I was crazy. I’m trying to finish my stitching down of the third BOM4 tonight and then I’m starting a new bee project. Your little Korean girl is so sweet as is the little grandniece you are giving it to for her birthday.

Stop it, my new mirror self! Way back when, all I had access to was Aida. My second go around and down the rabbit hole, I started using linen and I like the look. However, today I rediscovered the larger count Aida and just treated myself with enough pieces to begin The French Kitchen series. I even ordered a 20 count just to see what it is like. And, now Aida comes in some beautiful colors and hand dyed pieces. I’m a bit older so this will be easier on my eyes. Cross stitch is so much more exciting now! What an absolute delight Anna. You make me laugh 😂 out loud ❤️ I knew I was turning into a crone and now it seems I have a barnacle face too!! Hilarious 😆
Anna I love your stories about your family and your life! Loved your story about being little and going on an overnight camping trip.. My dad loved to camp in the mountains of West Virginia and trout fishing. The first camping trip I went on I was barely 3 months old. I slept in a dresser drawer. I have only picked counted cross stitch backed up a few months ago. My favorite fabric is Aida 14ct. It is what I have always stitched on. Looking forward to more videos.

The last Christmas ornaments I stitched using two strands and the stitching was tight. Love the one thread a day. Will have to try that. Your Korean girl finish is adorable. See you next time. Enjoy your company and dinner.
I had just gotten back from antiquing with my husband when I sat down to stitch with you. I got some good stuff for my she shed. I love to collect old small wooden boxes to store my thread and other stitchy items in. I found a great one today. I also got a couple of things to display my finished items on. An old washboard and an old standing grater. Love your pin cushion find.

Please tell more stories about your mom. Did she cook with kochujang and fermented bean paste? Ingredients like that make vegetarian food have so much more umami.
Anna, would love to go antiquing with you as you seem to find the most fabulous items! I’m stitching all the PS Santas and bought 2 yards of the called for 18 count Davos. Just curious if the Davos is similar to the 18 count Aida. Are you using 2 strands of floss or 1? I started with 2 strands but found it rather bulky so frogged and started over with 1 strand. Love all your “chatting” about oh, just everything. Keep it up!
Hi Anna, While watching this video I could hear frogs croaking. I kept thinking am I loosing it 🙃🤭 Then I heard rain!!! What the heck, I kept looking outside and it's beautiful out. Then when you said can you hear the rain. I had to laugh 😅 love seeing all your stitcheries. The little girl turned out absolutely beautiful - Great Job ❤ Happy Mother's Day 💐🪡🧵❤
I loved your Korean girl. What a lovely expression of your heritage. I'm gathering the supplies to do the Erica Michaels 12 Day of Christmas Berries too!
Anna, Have you found the needle you lost in Penny some time ago? Like you, when I drop a pin or needle I can't go on until it is found. Frequently, I drop my needle down the side of my recliner! I flip the recliner over and search using a flashlight. On several occasions I have found the missing needle stuck to the springs under the recliner. Look at anything metal. Maybe magnetics is holding the needle!
I love the 1 thread a day idea! I have been wanting to start Pandemic but because it is so large I haven't.. Now I must find fabric and floss! What size fabric are you using? Deb
Hi anna..really enjoy your videos..am looking at the lamp by your side..is it a floor one, with magnifying lens, and if so, what is the brand as mine is doing a slow death..am keeping it alive with batteries but is costing me a fortune on D-size batteries..thank you, honey and Happy Mother's Day!!!
Lol barnacles! My dermatologist diagnosed some small scaly patches as barnacles and I told my husband I feel like old salty lol. Happy Mother’s Day Anna.
Omgosh I caught myself nodding when you were talking like you could see me...hahaha 🤦♀️ guess I was really interested in what you were talking about..enjoyed the visit as usual.
Loving the "one thread a day" concept. I have a couple of projects that are well suited for that! Your little Korean girl is absolutely adorable!! Yes, Aida is fabulous!! it is my jam. Thank you for taking your time to reply. It is very beautiful.
I just love spending these days stitching with you. Today I stitched on The Workbasket's Quaker Bat. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Please tell more stories about your mom. Did she cook with kochujang and fermented bean paste? Ingredients like that make vegetarian food have so much more umami.
Omg we have containers of kochujang...had some for dinner this evening😀
I enjoyed stitching with you again this week. I just started the 2020 Prairie Schooler Santa. It will be fun to have a SAL to join.
Always love a video from Anna!! You have so many fun projects going on! Thanks for sharing with us!
I’m with ya! What is it with all the barnacle face/body things? 🤪
So rude...I wish they would go away!
I live in Lake Oswego, near you, and I enjoy the rain, too.....and the plants love it👍
Wow when Jeannine can have stitchers days at the shop we should meet up!
Stitch Roadie Yes, we have a lot in common☺️
Made me laugh with the ‘over 2’ on the 18 cut Aida. 😁
I was so confused😱
Anna, would love to go antiquing with you as you seem to find the most fabulous items! I’m stitching all the PS Santas and bought 2 yards of the called for 18 count Davos. Just curious if the Davos is similar to the 18 count Aida. Are you using 2 strands of floss or 1? I started with 2 strands but found it rather bulky so frogged and started over with 1 strand. Love all your “chatting” about oh, just everything. Keep it up!
I am clueless cause I don’t know what Davis is🙄 I am using 2 strands over one 🙏
Lovely conversation 😀
Hi Anna, While watching this video I could hear frogs croaking. I kept thinking am I loosing it 🙃🤭 Then I heard rain!!! What the heck, I kept looking outside and it's beautiful out. Then when you said can you hear the rain. I had to laugh 😅 love seeing all your stitcheries. The little girl turned out absolutely beautiful - Great Job ❤ Happy Mother's Day 💐🪡🧵❤
One thread a day will get it done and keep you interested in the project, a great idea.
Raining here too.
Anna, I love your channels! I look forward to all of your posts!
Thanks for the chuckle when you were talking about 14 ct. Aida for your Santa...haha :) I needed that.
Omg Anna that little tea pot pin cushion is priceless. I’m here in New Jersey stitching with you as always. 🪡🧵✂️
Happy Mother’s Day to you and your daughter-in-law’s Mother. Does G do all the cooking?
He does 90% I’m a decent sous chef
Do I hear a frog in the background? I do like their song
💙🖖
A gazillion 🐸
Can you show how you prepare your fabric to begin a new cross stitch project
I will talk about that...but be prepared to laugh
I loved hearing the rain. We don’t hear it much in Mesa, Az. I disagree with you. You are creative!
I am always so happy to see a new video from you! I so enjoy your talks and your channel! Thank you for keeping me company while I stitch.
I love the sound of rain, Prairie Schooler cross stitch patterns, and good friends like you! And Red Kettle dark chocolate covered caramels.
Yummm
I loved your Korean girl. What a lovely expression of your heritage. I'm gathering the supplies to do the Erica Michaels 12 Day of Christmas Berries too!
Sweet!!! Company!
The “one thread a day” system is just what I need. Thanks for the visit, Anna! I needed that too😊
Wow 🤩 great finishes!!! Can’t wait to see them fully finished. Happy Mother’s Day
Anna, Have you found the needle you lost in Penny some time ago? Like you, when I drop a pin or needle I can't go on until it is found. Frequently, I drop my needle down the side of my recliner! I flip the recliner over and search using a flashlight. On several occasions I have found the missing needle stuck to the springs under the recliner. Look at anything metal. Maybe magnetics is holding the needle!
Looks like I have a project ahead of me🙄
The rain sounded beautiful! Something we need to have here in California.
I love the 1 thread a day idea! I have been wanting to start Pandemic but because it is so large I haven't.. Now I must find fabric and floss! What size fabric are you using? Deb
It must be over half a yard😱
@@stitchroadie4076 Thank you!
It’s a Brightech LED that I got on Amazon🎉
Lol barnacles! My dermatologist diagnosed some small scaly patches as barnacles and I told my husband I feel like old salty lol. Happy Mother’s Day Anna.
Possibly psoriasis?
Geesh
Omgosh I caught myself nodding when you were talking like you could see me...hahaha 🤦♀️ guess I was really interested in what you were talking about..enjoyed the visit as usual.
😂 I am going to channel you when I am videoing next time!
@@stitchroadie4076 😄
Loving the "one thread a day" concept. I have a couple of projects that are well suited for that! Your little Korean girl is absolutely adorable!! Yes, Aida is fabulous!! it is my jam. I will stitch on 28 count evenweave, but not linen. I need to be able to stitch quickly and Aida affords me that luxury. Hugs from NE Ohio.
I can see why Becca gets so much done!
Hi Anna, Did you ever find the threads you were looking for. Did you stitch the picture hanging over your bed. Anne
No😩
I see you are not using the sewing method.....do you switch back and forth? Or maybe the Aida is too stiff?
Aida is stiff but it is starting to soften 🎉
Love your stories.❤️
