I stumbled across this song while my mother was on the ventilator, when the doctor told me there was no more options but to let her go. Gut wrenching, and every feeling I could possibly feel at that moment no word could explain. I knew she was listening and all I could do was play music to let her know God was with her. I played this song knowing how fitting it was at that moment. Years later (5 to be exact)who knew I would experience more pain and face challenges that God Himself could bring me through. David poured out all of his emotions in his Psalms (prayers & songs) to God and God called David a man after His own heart! Jesus is called the Son of David. At times we don't even want to get up, feeling like there's no reason. But we wake up, we get up. It's not us that's waking up though. It's God waking us up so that we can see what He has created for us. If it was left up to us we wouldn't be able to stand and fight. But that's when Jesus comes in remind us that He has already fought for us. All we have to do, is stand. For many of us out there, standing is not something we can do so that's why I listen to this music because, while I may not be able stand, I at least can be lifted by their voices and music and words. I stumbled across this song while my mother was on the ventilator, when the doctor told me there was no more options but to let her go. Gut wrenching, and every feeling I could possibly feel at that moment no word could explain. I knew she was listening and all I could do was play music to let her know God was with her. I played this song knowing how fitting it was at that moment. Years later (5 to be exact)who knew I would experience more pain and face challenges that God Himself could bring me through. This morning filled with tears and praise in the midst of my troubles, this song was a way of God speaking to me. No matter what life will bring God is and will always be with us.

This song never fails to give me goosebumps when Mrs. Tamela Mann sings it. Because, let's face it, we've all felt tired. We've all felt weak. We've felt pain of all types. At times we don't even want to get up, feeling like there's no reason. But we wake up, we get up. It's not us that's waking up though. It's God waking us up so that we can see what He has created for us. If it was left up to us we wouldn't be able to stand and fight. But that's when Jesus comes in remind us that He has already fought for us. All we have to do, is stand. For many of us out there, standing is not something we can do so that's why I listen to this music because, while I may not be able stand, I at least can be lifted by their voices and music and words. make sure you go back. I know/have heard of people who left too long and came back possessed or in poor shape. It's important to be in the house. I personally recommend an apostolic/pentecostal church but choice is up to you. Just i find in the baptist and catholic doctrines a lot of corruption and inconsistency.
