That’s so exciting! She can belt out the vibrato belting at the end of one of her songs beautifully and her accent is on point. The clip I saw her with, she wasn’t as theatrical and suing as much physicality as TC, but then again Timothee’s character was trying to elicit comedy which requires more physicality. But she still reacted as her character would really well as in realistic for her character. So it’s really exciting that BOTH exceeded beyond their 17-year-old self later in the future!

Awww, baby Timmy. He looks so young and cute here. Who knew he would go on to star in several acclaim movies including CMBYN and earn an Oscar nomination. Who knew that he would be the talk of Hollywood and several veteran movie stars, including Brad Pitt. Who knew that he would become a heartthrob, admired not only by his screaming fans but fellow actors. He is now one of Hollywood's A list actors who didn't have to audition for a role but was cast because of his fierce performance in CMBYN.

Even if his 2020 awkward/adorable personality is somewhat constructed to increase appeal ,I still dig it.
On second note the actress gave her full effort to this performance too.I really like her acting, 10/10.
La guardia is great for rising actors.

i really doubt his personality is constructed. wouldn’t you have a lot of anxiety and be nervous if anything you said was being recorded and if you mess up you can’t take anything back at all and that could be used against you? here he was just another kid.not to mention when playing a role you become the other person are that anxiety and shyness goes away.

Also he was less famous and with his co-star/friend (Caitlin Gann) who, he’s known for years in school, as opposed to celebs he’s known for months-a year and make or break his career.

    God bless their teachers! Truly!
Their adaptability from play to this TV screen show shows The difference between their play performance (clip online) is it’s a lot funnier. Of course it’s a lot more physical and exaggerated for the play medium.
Their teachers taught well because they morphed their acting for the specific use of a film screen Vs stage. Again, lot of jokes, esp his lines, unfortunately didn’t come across (had me really LoLing In play version and had to rewind , it was so physically funny haha him squealing in the corner or squeak screaming to the floor ) so Timothee, believe it or not, didn’t come off as AS strong as his CHARACTER was (while she maintained her’s because she was still a bit in Broadway mode), BUT he did come off more realistic …(like his other plays. Just GREAT acting in plays from it. It’s easy to see how he got noticed to be pulled from stage plays based off the skill to adapt and act from character ) but… they also cut A LOT from the scene used in this play. Uncut, you understand more of the characters & organic SITUATION more (as well as how/why they go into song & why it works. Such is any sample of play for tv shows like this). You can expressively understand that she’s more of a Broadway actor and that he’s, based off his goal, is just BEING an actor, fully in name. Like, a “healer” will heal no matter what profession direction or name (nutritionist , doctor, nurse, dentist, therapist). So he’s an “actor”. His adaptability from stage to screen and realistic acting for characters in a respectable place & manner is more versatile and adaptable as performer overall. BOTH are good at this; aware of medium in which they’re acting & its audience to adapt.
    - She still belts out those vibrato and notes of a song so well in both instances! Now she’s in Broadway! YAY! Glad she’s doing well. BOTH are doing well!
    - The other difference I noticed is that Timothee is a lot better singing up close on screen here than play, or at least you can hear a lot better, clearer notes. His singing in some films didn’t reflect that. But both are singing, or at least the song, is conveyed better on this show than it is in the play, where they have to probably get louder over the live music

Timothee doesn't seem so awkward or nervous about this interview as he sdoes on ellen or late night talk shows, I really hope his coy awkwardness is not fake.

    • @addison264

Some people develop social anxiety/awkwardness at different times. In some interviews from recently, he's confident and not awkward, but in others, he's seems to be more self conscious. I think it just depends on the time. A lot of people aren't *always* super socially anxious.

He is WAY more famous now, so maybe that’s what makes it scarier. He probably doesn’t want to say the wrong thing. But that’s why I don’t idolize people for their personality, more so respect them for their character
