I really love how u addressed stylists acting funny about sharing tips... My cousin teaches me alot and when I acted shocked that she shared her tips, she explained it the same way you did. To be honest you are correct about the beauty industry. As soon as someone sees you as competition they will not try to teach you what they know. I do hair and makeup and people are terrible when it comes to that. But I'm a strong believer that no one can take away what God has for you no matter how many people do what you do.

I agree with your rant. The crazy thing is that there are so many people who truly need their hair done that there actually may not be enough stylist to keep up with the demand......if they were honest with self......and stopped being cheap.....my observations.

Now this was WAY...more complicated than I thht but yours is WAY BETTER than the original. I love your humbleness that you can admit you didn't know how to do it and struggled to find a way. I have been pulling models for this style. The glue is the best method and we used say me brand hair in the deep wave. You did an excellent job. Hope this is helpful

From what I've seen they fold over the braid so it will have a bigger braid to grip on.. then they use setting strips around the braid to protect their natural hair. The. They wrap the tracks around the braid as you did in this video. I hope I explained that well but you did a great job!!

HI,there... (I couldn't hardly watch the video concerning what you mentioned about some people being negative if someone do a style contributing to one they have did I like Unity) ..I wanted to hurry up with my comment,.) There's a saying .. Each one, teach one, each one, reach one. Creative is " Supposed to Sparks the imagination, that's just how creative gifts work inside all that have that creative talent (and especially in the similar field,,;Even when it come to singers,we can put our hand on each other while singing, and stimulate the gift just like charging a battery).. All in all yes, it's is good to know many different varieties, one can always come up with another idea or, an added idea or, just do the same style, and it's okay.( if anyone is complaining about anything t just don't pay any attention ( but is still good that you mention it so they will also be more mature about these kind of situations). Your method are teaching people also, ( it don't have to be only one way of doing anything) That style is very creative I've never even seen anyone wrap hair around a braid, or even talk about latch hooking , or sewing it. Don't worry if anyone saying anything like you said there's enough room for everyone. We watch videos so each one can learn. Everyone that can bring something to the hair show, should be acceptable. ( as you was making a side fall ponytail look I was thinking that would be pretty with a yellow flower..). I think you did quite awesome and thank you . (Now I'll go back to watching the video Lol. 😊

You did good, I know a stylist that’s been doing that ponytail for over a year now & she uses glue on the track & just wraps it like you did. I just think that when you start braiding don’t add hair right away & start with thin then add more so your clients can keep their edges. But you did the damn thang; & your rants on point.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! As for her edges, they were perfectly fine. I've never had a complaint with any of my clients losing hair in over 14 years. Sometimes I start with the weave; sometimes I don't. It depends on the client and the style. Her dye had faded off her hair, so her hair was not the same color as the weave. Her hair is also natural and very course. So to conceal the color difference and help her style last longer, I chose to start with the weave. But if you watch my feed-in braid tutorial, I chose to start with that clients real hair. It's all about learning each client individually, and catering to their specific needs. Again thanks for the encouraging words! :)

Try to crochet it and use longer hair. Maybe a 12 inch or longer. Also you could have used the braid hair to make a twist instead of a braid.

You are so right lady about stylist tripping. It is dumb to me. 9 times out of 10 they got their inspiration from another stylist or from someone else anyway. Plus if a client request a style the stylist going to do it. We might make it a little different, but its going to be their style.
I agree with you that it is a compliment. I want to see ppl rocking my styles all over the world. I need more clients that will allow me to freestyle in their heads. I want them to just sit in my chair and tell me to do me, but that hasn't happened for years😢
I so feel you. Often my clients bring pictures of the style they want, and of course I imitate it and give them what they want. Rarely do people just say "do you." I guess there is a fear of trying something different. Some don't like surprises. They want to know what they're getting before they get it.
