This is one of the best interviews so far! This man makes so much sense. He has described me and I'm determined to get my tinnitus resolved. Thank you for this interview.
We're all counting on you to report back and would love to hear that TMJ resolution is the precise cause of your tinnitus and is reversible in short order. Sadly, few people ever post follow-up results.
I believe I got my tinnitus after a dental implant procedure. (over 10 years ago) I asked the dentist but they said it not be related - the tmj could be the answer
4 teeth pulled and braces put on for 4 yrs, 2 yrs retainer. Never was fixed. 4 MORE teeth pulled and braces put on again for 4 years as an adult with another 2 yrs of retainer. My mouth has been trashed. Now 70 and I have EVERY symptom you mentioned. TMJ diagnosed along with sleep apnea. Now tinnitus is SCREAMING at me 24/7. I hope you can help me I’m at the end of my rope.

This program is so great!!!! Thank you TH for providing your servise as well as Dr Chris in SF information. I have a Dentist from AZ University 😮 for my tmj, lock jaw, the grinding of my teeth and unbalanced jaw. I hope he knows this about the tinnitus. At 17 my jaw was broken, and i remember the dr. saying "oh it is to bad we cant brake the otherside to make the jaw even" , i asked him to but he did not. .... Sleep apnea, migraine, and others pains
I got my tinnitus after getting braces in my early 50's and now I have TMJ so now I have both. Everytime I yawn, my jaw clicks. I pray there is hope out there for all of us!
I got tinnitus right after my surgery that I had for thyroid cancer. It been horrible. Good information. Hope there is a cure soon. I have gone to 2 specialists and nothing. Thank you for this information.
Mine started after a robbery and shooting incident, I take ibuprofen daily for a broken foot and have to for work. This is good info, I’m stuck with it and accept this.
I got my tinnitus from the local dental anesthetic Septocaine ... it is a side effect and listed on the drug package insert. No one will believe me though. My dentist says it was just a coincidence and I can tell he is mad at me for complaining.
I got mine from chemotherapy after 3 treatments they had to switch my meds but the damage is permanent. Right now my left ear is screaming, I believe you 😢
Wow! Fantastic interview. As this interview started I was just feeling some odd fullness in my tinnitus laden ear. Then the dentist mentioned eating something very hard, and I just realized that I had been gnawing on an over-nuked but still delicious sesame cheese breadstick (weird, I know). I’m going to share this with my doctor, but I would love it if some informational materials that could be printed out or forwarded were available. Doctors are not learning about some of the new findings thst bring relief. My tinnitus, though loud, doesn’t bother me much, but what if it did? So stressful to be told you just have to live with it.
Thanks for that awesome interview. There is a well known link between tightness and spasms in the sternocleidomastoid and masseter muscles and tinnitus. I suffer from chronic jaw muscle pain, neck pain and tinnitus. and am being treated by a tmj physiotherapist. The ringing is quite high pitched in one of my ears and can get significantly louder when i have flare ups. I have recently being watching a youtube channel called the tmj doc run by Priya Mistry. One of her recent videos included a system called tek scan which measures the activity in your muscles when you bite down onto a sensor which allows dentists to identify and correct occlusion issues which relieve pain for many patients. TMD or TMJD in my opinion is quite a nasty condition as it mimics so many other conditions and patients are frequently misdiagnosed several times before they get help. I live in the U.K. which really lags behind the U.S. and it is incredibly difficult to find a TMJ specialist.
I just had a tinnitus spike from acupuncture. Has this ever happened to anyone? My tinnitus originated from a chiropractic adjustment and I thought I would try acupuncture but it made the volume go much higher. It’s only been 24 hours so I’m trying not to stress too much. Tinnitus spikes are never permanent but I always worry that they will be
My tinnitus is from hearing loss. The noise is actually in the brain. It doesn't go away. I'd love to have my hearing back. It's very debilitating. It's affected my enjoyment of music the most. The ent specialist says it possibly meniers disease. It's awful, and it makes me so sad. Hearing loss is sad because it makes you lonely and can lead to dementia too. I took my hearing for granted. I miss it so much. My only connection to the hearing world is with a hearing aid. X

Very interesting, I have tinnitus for 8 years now. These are same symptoms I have in my jaws and neck. Unfortunately there is no TMJ specialist in Toronto Canada. Anyone knows any specialists in Toronto Canada?
Hi Ahmad, If you're located outside the U.S., please reach out to us at contact@treblehealth.com, and someone from our team will assist you with scheduling a free consultation.
Impacted wisdom teeth or related jaw issues, such as TMJ dysfunction, can sometimes contribute to tinnitus by causing strain or inflammation near the ears. If you suspect this might be a factor, consulting with a dentist or oral surgeon could provide clarity and potential relief.
Dr. Chui or Ben, can you recommend someone in NYC who can provide this? I went to Gelb and found him to be a charlatan of the highest order. It really was depressing. And frankly, Dr. Chui recommending 15 different procedures is too. But alas ,we're desperate here.
We're not sure of who to refer you to in NYC but we would recommend reaching out to Dr. Chui's office directly and see if they have a referral source. www.sanfranciscodentalwellness.com/

Well I stopped watching the minute he talked about laser going in the ear... I mean come on 😀
😂😂😂
Why?, it is a muscle treatment and this is a muscle issue.
@gbarredac No laser are going to reach through the ear canal and behind the eardrum to the muscle. Not possible.
there are studies that show slighty positive effects of laser Therapy for tinnitus.
Whats the time stamp for this discussion? Just curious, I use red light for my skin and its helpful (very different obviously but still curious)
