Reinventing ourselves: Botswana embracing innovation, building connections at global tech conference

Billionaire Elon Musk and President Emmanuel Macron are headlining France's biggest technology trade show, VivaTech. More than 2,000 firms are displaying at VivaTech, with products ranging from augmented-reality ski masks to AI-animated work of Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh. Botswana is in the spotlight at VivaTech's showcase for tech and innovation. Botswana is a model democracy. We should focus on success stories (by treating them like any Western nations for purposes of trade and travel), and forget about loser nations. Then, everyone wants to be like Botswana.
