    Some very interesting videos and love the camera work / music / editing however one thing most channels don't mention is budget and price, specifically the cost of land and the build - that's the most important part of any self build journey.

      Wow thanks very much, we've been working really hard on these episodes! That's a great piece of feedback, some of our later episodes feature costing, and all our recent episodes cover costing far more in detail! We're learning as we go along!

    This is awesome. Well done. This is the future if tradition would just fk off and accept the benefits of this style of building

    If I were building now, I would make walls of solid brick, with a ventilated hinged facade or using frame technology. It would have turned out to be a warm house with a lot of inertia.

    Fab house and great video! I dream of the day when costs come back to €120 - 140 Sqft so I can build. They're closer to €200 - 220 now 😑

    Would of been nice to know what exactly the passive house details were. What did they use for the walls, underfloor heating, cooking energy, solar etc? couldn’t get a n idea of layout. What was meant by upside down house? Too much talking and not enough showing imo.

      Thanks very much for the feedback, really appreciate you watching :) We will definitely be going into more specific details in further episodes. This episode is also available as a full length podcast where the guys cover more details of the build. Link in the description above!

    I love this video but I don’t see all the goals that are in the description met and how you met passive house standards ie heating, ventilation, insulation etc. will this be in a future episode?

    • @GetInOurHome
      @GetInOurHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for your feedback, genuinely really appreciate it. Yes, this full in-depth interview is available as a podcast on the Get In Our Home podcast, where the guys go into greater detail on all of the above. Links in the description above 👆🏻

    It's beautiful.
    We're building a passive house but I don't have any interest in getting it certified. It's been quite an argument with my partner. I don't see the point in paying to prove it. We'll know it's passive and our bills will know it's passive.

      I suppose it’s a reassurance in that you have actually done it, and it’s also a sign of recognition in achieve passive house certification. Yes absolutely though, cost has to be considered!
