Yo did some minor testing. For counters. Instead of spamming, when you're getting whomped press the square button twice with the same rythm as a heartbeat per attack done in each combo. Spamming is a prayer

People can spam in rank and don't get me wrong I still think this game is highly lacking but the people that spam powers in ranked are the people that have no hands up close or even know how to dodge there's soooooo many trash players on xbox who come in there and try to win off chip damage

Repeat this till they stop spamming or u win. If they use a assist with their special. You’ll take no damage cause ur dashing then can block instant but they will take damage cause ur special is firing at them while they are using a special. Either way spammers can’t beat this when it comes to ultimates just block. They have such a long wind up time just hold the block button. If it’s someone who jumps into the air when they ult like goku or naruto ult right after cause they can’t do anything.

on xbox, if you have one of those elite or razor controllers with the macros/paddles, you can bind one of the extra buttons to X (light attack) and spam both the normal X and the macro X when getting hit a lot to counter easier

There's another instance it slows down, which is when you have 50% awakening and you hit them with a charged heavy smash time slows so you can light heavy smash and do an area change

This is extremely difficult. After trying your way: Holy crap! It actually works. I've been pressing it multiple times because that's how you do it on the PS2 and PS3 Naruto games but this game is specifically a tap and timing.
Honestly, the A.I. in this game pisses me off, because they play more like actual online players. Meaning it's often difficult for me to farm EXP, Upgrade materials, etc. cause they won't back the hell off. Plus, the controls respond too slowly for me to anticipate enemy moves.
A question I can't seem to find an answer to is, do J skills stack? Example: If I have 3 J skills equipped that all do the same thing, does it triple the effect?
Just got this for the switch. The overly sensitive timing of dodges is a real minus point for me. They need to fix that. They did it better with Xenoverse 2. I'm not saying they need to do it exactly like X2, but somewhere between that and what we got now sounds reasonable. I'm sticking to offline until something is done because I love myself too much to put myself in that much stress.

When you try to do a close counter attack with jotaro but they counter and dodge everything while using dips long range attack and izukus deleware smash attack and bounce the attacks on top of each other and u can’t do anything because you don’t know how to dodge or do counters. And all you want to do is try a new combo 😭
Well I tried to upload some matches of me doing ranked and well no one really cared or the TH-cam Algorithm didn't push the video out to people's recommended. Informational videos atleast have a chance to get brought up by people who search for it in the search bar, however I will try to do another video on a match but let's be honest, how interesting is it to watch me play a match on Jump Force? Whenever I get stuck in a combo I can't do anything more than watch myself get f*cked six ways to Sunday while I lose 3/4 of my health bar within seconds. The worst part is whenever I somehow miraculously pull off a high speed dodge/counter my opponent counters my counter. I personally prefer characters with good projectiles because I can't risk getting close to my opponent. (Sorry for the rant, I just really needed to get that off my chest)

(Technically me and the npc did a high speed counter counter counter counter counter counter counter in the air sadly they removed that part from ym stream smh)

The way how high speed counter and dodge works is you have to press it before a hit hits, and that goes for every hit in a combo. That means you have multiple chances at high speed countering and dodging. The problem arises due to the delays and slow downs in the gameplay, especially online. The timing becomes fucked up because of this. All spamming the button does is indulge into hoping you get lucky, it’s gambling.
I knew I wasn’t the only one noticing this. I’m not the perfect player but I know some of my counters should be hitting when they aren’t. Sucks the life out of the game imho
