I would just like you to know, I'm a single mother who works full time and has NEVER done a home renovation. Through watching your video many many times I have successfully completely remodeled my master bathroom. Your awesome!

This man is brilliant...not only does he teach his trade to the world but he leaves a lifelong legacy to his kids grands and entire family as they can watch his videos for many generations to come....teach a man to fish and he will eat a lifetime.
I'm a 62-year-old woman who doesn't plan to do this myself, but I find watching you so fascinating. I'm learning a lot because you're easy to listen to and very informative. Great job!
My husband owns a plumbing business, I ask him what kind of jobs he is going to be doing then look them up on TH-cam so I can kinda get an idea of what he is doing and I can talk to him about it. In a way you and other channels are training me to work along side him. Thank You so much for having such informative videos.
For you to take an interest in your husbands daily life at work so you can talk to him intelligently about his daily routine is an awesome thing your doing. What a great women you must be, well done,,,,
Dude. This channel is all you need to do anything home renovation! Not to mention the videos are meticulously edited and designed perfectly! Props to you sir for providing such great content!!

One of THE MOST comprehensive videos on YT. I love how you not only show how to do the work but also how tackle issues that might arise. I envy your kids so much.. I wish i had you as my father/uncle or at least could work as a apprentice with you. You have great knowledge and experience and your teaching skills are fantastic. Hats of to you!
I need to start off with saying thank you. I'm 22 years old and in August this year I bought my first house. It needs alot of restoration and I only know basic carpentry etc. This feels like the best explanation for how I'm gonna finish my bathroom 😂 again, thank you so much
Just finished a total makeover of the main bathroom. First time doing this type of DIY. Could not have completed it without Jeff's video series. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your videos! My partner and I just overhauled a bathroom for the first time largely from watching your videos. We did demo, dropped the ceiling and installed ventilation, put in a tub, re-built plumbing and built a half wall. It was full of hiccups but so rewarding. We're very proud! Thanks and please keep creating awesome content. You are a great teacher.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing! My husband is impressed! I came here looking for a Bathtub to Shower conversion and ended up fascinated by your entire video. I can now hire someone to do this work and I'll watch to make sure he does it correctly. Thank you!
Hey Jeff, I'm a project manger for a manufacturing company. I have done this type of work for several years as well as steel fab work. I still learn so much by watching your videos. Most of it is nuance stuff like saving the surrounding surfaces while the work is done.
Thanks to your videos I was able to remove 2 types of flooring, level the floor, repair water damaged sub floor, re work electrical in my kitchen, replace outlets, AND lay 500sq ft of laminate flooring with 2 transitions, an angled fireplace and longways under 2 doors and it looks AMAZING. Thank you and if I’m ever in Ottawa the first round is in me. Cheers!
I'm used to the way things are done in the U.S., now I am in Japan where DIY is more like you managed to change a light bulb by yourself instead of calling maintenance. I don't think they encourage DIY that much, there are some tools and materials that you just cannot get unless you go to a web site that actual contractors use for supplies and just don't say you're not a contractor. There is some weird stuff going on behind my walls & ceiling. Like seriously, who has a mains voltage line coming out of the back of the breaker box doing a loop de loop around the large drainage pipe from the apartment above??
These videos make me believe I can renovate my entire home in a week as long as I have gloves, goggles, the right tools (sometimes), and a chill attitude 👩🏼🔧💪🏽
I am a 60 year old woman. Would never renovate any room but here I am watching this video. I can’t bring myself to stop watching it. Jeff, you are so pleasant. Congrats for being at the very top of your game. You’re remarkable! Please tell your wife she is blessed.
Your channel is superb for novice renovators. As past teachers my wife and I recognise your excellent communication skills, your explanations (which are clear, concise and paced) and your lesson designs which are excellently annex. I now recommend your channel to all our friends. Thank you. Greg and Di Hall Noosa, Australia.
This video is so good, I sent the link to my brother 700 miles away, so he could watch it and make sure the guys he hired are doing it right! I started remodeling in 1973, and retired in 2010. These are easy to watch, and the techniques are sound. Great job!
Bless you sir. I had a CPVC pipe burst in my house. It ruined 3 bathrooms and our laundry room. I lost thousands, beyond than the insurance money, from contractors that took my money and left work that I had to rework. Watching your videos, I've rebuilt my deck [10'x40' 2nd floor] and renovated 2 of 3 bathrooms myself. It's all your fault that we don't brush out teeth in the kitchen sink anymore......Sincerely, thank you.
I am a retired Contractor of 35 years and Jeff knows what he's talking about! Excellent job. I like watching jobs I used to do myself to see if there are new products that eliminate callbacks.
I think the only people giving thumbs down are the plumbers and GC out there who are pissed such a detailed video is being given to diy people. Simply amazing video packed with straightforward information and great tips throughout! Thank you! TH-cam is a life changer because of pros like you.
I've always loved watching my dad work so this was super enjoyable, I'm 19 now and he's pushing 60 and retired (well he's supposed to be due to breaking his back but he's very stubborn and refuses to give in fully!😂) but he's still renovating my first apartment for me. Thank you for posting this, I'm hoping I can actually be of some help to him now!❤
You are my "go to" when it comes to finding information on how to properly do things I've never done before. I do residential maintenance for a living. Your down to earth approach combined with informative tips is delivered in bite sized enough pieces that deliver the content quickly and efficiently. But not such small pieces that I feel like an idiot. Thanks so much for your channel 😊
I stumbled upon this DIY tub and shower renovation video, and it exceeded my expectations. The concise guidance and helpful tips made the daunting task surprisingly manageable. Thanks to this video, my bathroom now has a fresh, updated look that I couldn't be happier with!
Whenever I watch a DIY video I'm always saying to myself, what a jackass or something, but this guy is the fricking best. He knows his stuff and has a great attitude. Thanks for sharing the knowledge of a lifetime man.
So impressed with your calmness and patience while you are giving away free do it yourself information. I am so thankful for all the videos. You said towards the end about being an artist, I was just thinking that your work is an art and you truly love what you do. What inspiration.
I'm too old to renovate my bathroom. But I really enjoy watching you. You are obviously very good craftsman and you got everything under control. You are very good explaining the process and it's fun to watch. Thank you.
As a new home owner with a bathroom remodel in the coming months.. THANK YOU! After watching this I'm confident I can save myself thousands by doing the demo myself. Love your videos!
i love this video! I'm starting my bathroom remodel as i'am typing this. I learned a lot more watching your segment rather than reading a do it yourself book.GREAT JOB!!!
I just spent about 2.5 hours on this video and it's one of the BEST videos I've come across. I am no where close to even renovating my bathroom but this gives me just a rough idea of what to expect and what to be mindful of. Great video, no bull, no stupid music as you're trying to explain. Great instructions, tips, and knowledge of the materials you are using. Also, your voice is soothing to listen to. Makes it enjoyable to watch and listen to. Superb! Next time, tell your son, Matty to be careful with the hammer. :-P
I just watched the whole thing as well. Everytime I was going to turn the page it seemed as if he knew what I was going through and I stayed glued to the next segment. Lol
This was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for this video. I have wanted to redo our bathroom myself to save money but had zero clue about any of it. I feel totally confident I can get it done myself and done right now! No BS, tips, easy to understand and right to it. Well done and thank you again! ❤
Amazing I didn't even realise I had been watching for 2 hours. Learnt so much and having the right tools for the job is so important but knowing the tools even exist gives confidence to do the job.
I never watched any video until the end except for this one , It was very informative , Professional and done with a very good sense of humor . Excellent job and thank you so much.
Gret video and great series. Just one small thing: I do not know if this part just got cut out, but for all those who are watching and never have soldered copper pipes before: do not forget to debur the outside and the inside of the pipe after cutting. Otherwise the waterflow is impeded and "dirt" can clog up.
I do have to admit that you have a lot of good talent. You do have a long way to go in regards to installing plumbing, tubs and tiles. I'll still give you an eighty-eight percent. From A.J.S. Contracting. Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
You are so knowledgeable. I'm about to renovate my grandparent's 1936 home by myself all from your videos. You are amazing. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks a million!!
Oh my gosh! Wish I could help you (I’m a middle aged woman) as I’ve always wanted to do an entire house reno and my dream is a simple one story farmhouse with the steep metal roofs. Best of luck and success to you!
i must say you are a very good trade's man , thank you for showing us a job remarkably done. teaching ppl step be step. you are a brilliant teacher and trade man , thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m nowhere near as ready to actually do this but the information you’ve shared in the first twenty minutes alone is remarkable. There’s a lot of experience and insight in every suggestion. I appreciate your sharing of all of this. Thank you.
Awesome video! Thanks for making it! Interesting that the owner didn't want to go with a walk-in shower. For Schluter products (and other pro tiling and waterproofing products) I'd suggest going to a wholesale tiling supply store. Most sell to consumers and you get much better pricing, selection, and service compared to the home improvement stores or F&D (e.g. Ditra is almost half price!). They will definitely have the KerdiFix too! And another tip is to find out who the local Schluter rep is (or whatever product line you are working with) and reach out to them with any questions, suggestions, etc. They have proven to be very helpful to me in projects. For the siliconing, I really like the Cramer profiling kits. Leaves a cleaner edge of the right size. Also you didn't show the grouting process but it's simple enough and there are many videos on that. Key is to ideally get the new epoxy grout which doesn't need sealing and is better suited to wet locations compared with cement-based grouts.
It will be awesome if you could make a video showing how to do a waterproof shower floor without the kerdi system. Thank you though for all your great videos. Best DIY
Thanks for making such a long video covering everything. Most videos are less then 30 min and they brush over or skip things entirely that you need to know. Appreciate the effort helping us small people with not allot of money out with info like this.
DUDE! This is the most intensive full remodel video I have ever seen. Stick around man I've liked and subscribe and I'm gonna need you for future endeavors!!
As fun as the home reno shows on TV are they don't hold a candle to this. Nearly 3 hours of showing exactly how it should be done with great advice all along the way. Awesome video!
I do a lot of what this man shows for a livinf 10 hours a day. He is very knowledgeable and is very well spoken as teaching is an artform in itself. Fantastic channel
Excellent video Jeff, I really appreciate you putting all of this content together. Almost 5 Million views in a year....that's impressive!!! I'm about to gut and remodel my master bath and have been binge watching videos on tile setting, water proofing, and sealing everything up so there's no leaks / no mold! I've already saved this one to one of my project playlists so I can refer back if I run into any issues.
I find your video PRICELESS and at the same time depressing as you represent the past for America after having one house renovated inside to sell it and the other to rebuild a 1955 old house which I currently live in; what I have discovered is tradesmen like yourself are very rare as you are a top flight professional that is both honest and competent. So sad many in the trades business today did not serve an apprenticeship for 3 or 4 years they spent a few months on the job and then went on their own with little to no knowledge and make so many mistakes that they have to redo, redo and redo there appears to be little to no protection for the home owner. Thank You so much for this video, even though I am an old person with the knowledge you have passed to us I feel I could do a successful job! I hope you become very wealthy and most of all that you are happy with your trade craft...
Holy cow. You got more views than the property brothers I think. I can see why. Everybody likes down to earth folks. Very informative and professional.
I laid here in bed chilling on a lazy Saturday morning and ended up watching this whole video from start to finish! You are very informative, very cheerful doing your work and hard to leave mid job. Ps - AWESOME camera work!!!
I've had your videos playing all day long. I think I have my wife hooked on your content. 😂 "He's like the Bob Ross of home inprovement." Keep on doing what you're doing, we'll keep watching. 😊
I’ve finally started our small bathroom renovation (my second) and your videos have been huge helps!! I didn’t realize how heavy those tiled walls would be…holy moly!! Now a friend is helping me install the drain on the new soaker tub. Oh my tiles would not break like yours did but my oscillator tool made a hand-sized hole on the top for some pulling power which worked great!

Never in my life, I thought I would spend 2:40:07 watching a youtuber video. Man there is no waste in here. You've just earned a new sub and a like from Dominican Republic..
Great series! Very informative, even if I never do this myself, its great to know what to watch for when I have contractors in doing this work. I love to watch! I have done ceramic tile before, but in watching this got some great tips. thanks
oh no, not you again! every time i stumble over your projects my brain gets overloaded with ideas and my worksite comes to a complete stop! thanks anyway and keep up the good work. ;)
I really enjoy your shows. You have alot of knowledge from experience, I can tell because I have alot of experience also from plumbing, industrial installations, and boiler operations and installations. It's nice to see someone that really knows his trade. Glad it found your site
If you liked the video and want to try it see if you can find a local reno contractor to work with. Make some decent money, get a decent workout, and maybe even decide to get into construction as a career! Tons of different skills and things to do during it.
Very timely video. I am just starting a bathroom gut and just removed the tile and tub. Tons of great tips. I only have one tip of my own from experience. Don't trust the oring in the tub spout. In both of my bathrooms in the tub spouts a couple of years apart the orings failed. I had cleaned of the copper and chamfered the ends so it didn't nick the orings. The oring did fail after a few years and the water travelled back and down the opening in the tile and thru the ceiling of my renovated kitchen. Now when I install a tub spout I silicone the opening as best I can around the copper where it comes out of the tile.
Coming at you from March 2020: How dare you throw that N95 mask away. Seriously though, your videos are so useful, thank you very much for making them.
Wow-what an outstanding video! A brilliant channel IMO; darn near perfect: difficult topics are made easy to understand, Jeff is charismatic/enjoyable/fun to watch, videos are well-edited and incredibly rich with useful info, plus Jeff has a common touch that inspires confidence. Thanks for posting! :D
**slams thru partition wall with sledgehammer** "and you can be as surgical as you want to" hahaha, I love the narration; in all seriousness tho, top notch advice thru and thru, thanks!!!
Hey Jeff! Very much appreciate ALL of your YT videos. I'm a handyman who is expected to know a bit about everything so I often refer to them to keep myself up to date on latest and best building techniques and to confirm my thoughts. Your comment about "doing surgery" makes me think you may be my brother from another mother as I too make every effort to avoid creating unnecessary extra days of work for myself. As someone well said, sometimes to go fast, you have to go slow! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching! If you found this video helpful, please subscribe. share your renovation stories 👆🏼I love reading them and you’re helping encourage and empower other. Cheers

i must say you are a very good trade's man , thank you for showing us a job remarkably done. teaching ppl step be step. you are a brilliant teacher and trade man , thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please ask your questions, I will be here to answer them myself so you can get a great result. Cheers!
I love you Jeff!
jeff , i have a tub should i turn it into stand up shower or just replace the tub with a newer deeper one and install glass door
It will be awesome if you could make a video showing how to do a waterproof shower floor without the kerdi system. Thank you though for all your great videos. Best DIY
Great how too! What about toilet and vanity install? Any chance of a video for those?
We Love you too!
This is such a great video!! I’ve watched it twice and I’m ready to tackle my 1950s bathroom! Thank you for all you do!
Please take a look at our new reno!
Dude! That bathroom and tile you are tearing out looks nicer than what I have in my bathroom!
You sir, are a genius! Within the first few minutes I have multiple secrets to save me time and frustration. Thank you 1,000 times!
Hard to find an honest worker in renovation today - THANK YOU.
*very* hard
Why?
You have no idea how appreciated you are!
Love the Brothers, they are really good t.v. actors for sure!
All the best diy TH-camrs are from Canada! This is my new favorite channel!
Big thank you! This video series has given me the confidence for my husband and I to do this work ourselves in our new home!
看看视频就准备自己动手那样会劳民伤财的
You guys are talented and the way you talk reflect your huge background knowledge and confidence... God blessing ... Well done
"He's like the Bob Ross of home inprovement."
Keep on doing what you're doing, we'll keep watching. 😊
Can you do a video on how to change a single bathroom sink to a double sink vanity? Showing how to incorporate the second water waste line and vent?
James Nappi I would appreciate this greatly
I need this too
Impressed you pointed out the detail of filling the tub with water before caulking the joint between tub and tile. Very important!
This is the real deal folks.... I’ve done a lot of DIY and there’s more than meets the eye.... Great video thank you !!!
Cheers!
The sheer knowledge that a builder has never ceases to amaze me. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Jeff, your channel is very addictive but in a good way. Great video.
As long as it doesn't drive you to drink. Cheers!
This guy is an artist. Amazing. Great job with the editing too. Top notch video.
max is the best!
This was the best 2hrs 40mins of my 2020. I’m so relaxed! Thank you. ❤️
Tamil
Great series! Very informative, even if I never do this myself, its great to know what to watch for when I have contractors in doing this work. I love to watch! I have done ceramic tile before, but in watching this got some great tips. thanks
Ok karen
I am from Barbados, and I enjoy viewing your work which is exquisite and I am also learning new things about renovations.
Comparing others with videos I say by far you are the most human and the one trying to give most infos..
Thanks
Man, how do you find the time to all these videos? They are excellent. Thanks so much for the great content
I have a production team working around the clock. Cheers!
oh no, not you again! every time i stumble over your projects my brain gets overloaded with ideas and my worksite comes to a complete stop!
thanks anyway and keep up the good work. ;)
Amazing details for all DIY ers. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your expertise and wisdom!
Glad it was helpful!
I really enjoy your shows. You have alot of knowledge from experience, I can tell because I have alot of experience also from plumbing, industrial installations, and boiler operations and installations. It's nice to see someone that really knows his trade. Glad it found your site
You are a creative and sincere man in his work 🙏 thanks
I'm 14
TH-cam recomended this to me
This is great you did an awsome job
Now when I install a tub spout I silicone the opening as best I can around the copper where it comes out of the tile.
thank you, on patching the tile chip: a poolball fell on the edge of my floor tile, of course there was a hollow bubble at that exact point.
Coming at you from March 2020: How dare you throw that N95 mask away.
Seriously though, your videos are so useful, thank you very much for making them.
Happy to help!
Lol
I thought the SAME THING. I was looking at that mask with envy.
Sheena L He’s probably one of those people who doesn’t wear a mask due to coved 19.
and a 3 pack for $10??? where??
i have no intentions of upgrading my shower, but i can’t stop watching
OMG this is the BEST instructional video on DIY Tub/Tile renovation on the Interwebs! Thank for all you do brother!
Please check out our page and let us know what you think of our remodel!
Please recommend Walk In Bath Tubs and how to install them
Pro tip: stuff a rag or wad of paper towel in the tub drain hole so it doesn't fill up with debris from the demo and clog the pipe..
When did the new tub get installed??
Just stick the vacuum down it to clean it out.
Or masking tape
Why bother when he cuts away the drain and replaces it
**slams thru partition wall with sledgehammer** "and you can be as surgical as you want to"
hahaha, I love the narration; in all seriousness tho, top notch advice thru and thru, thanks!!!
Gotta have a little fun at work eh! Cheers!
