I’ve been a huge fan of Sting ever since I started watching WCW back in 1997 when he made the transition to the Crow gimmick. Because of him I’ve watched WCW all the way until the very end. Then I switched to TNA to watch Sting. Finally seeing him make his debut in WWE literally gave me goosebumps. It’s a darn shame they misused him. Having Triple H beating him at Wrestlemania was a deplorable move. Not along after that due to an injury Sting announced his retirement at the Hall of Fame which was a sad day. Thought I’ll never see Sting geared up walking in the ring again wielding the bat. Seeing Sting in AWE is such a historic & surreal moment. It would’ve been perfect if it was a jam packed arena in front of live crowds. The crowd would’ve pop so hard for the Stinger. Especially hearing how exciting Tony is. Really takes you back to the good old WCW days.
Yeah this year numerous things got ruined by the no crowds or little amount of crowds. Even worst in wwe kiddy land with the fake audience on the screens which is just comical. Undertakers retirement, edge against orton at WM, this and more. Fans would of been making so much noise in those arenas. Can't blame no one but the sum bitches that eat cat and dog for dinner.
I absolutely HATED --- with an absolute passion --- seeing him in the WWE. I was actually disappointed. He's literally the only wrestler in the world I'd never have ever wanted to see there because to me he was the ultimate face of WCW. I almost felt betrayed ha! I was legit upset lol. I never want to remember him as having ever been there. I don't acknowledge it!
btw I never watched him on WWE, but when I heard he'd made a debut there I was pretty gutted, can't lie. But having Sting in AEW just feels right. It's that TNT link too like he has come home.
Undertaker’s greatest rival that he never faced. Sting’s last match wish is the Undertaker. I hope AEW and WWE can one day give these guys what they deserve, a storyline buildup that these two mastermind on their own terms. Cinematic match or not.

What a song fit for a legend, even though he didn't had a good career with WWE just to lose to Triple H at Wrestlemania 31 (I attended to that). I hope AEW does something good for him before he retires and hangs them up for good.
did he wrestle goldust in WCW? I know Dustin was on the same roster as sting a few times down there. I love finding matches sting had with other guys that arent that well known. I just saw a triple threat he had with benoit and Jarrett a few weeks ago and it was a great match just thrown together on a random nitro. I'm looking for sting and Eddie Guerrero but I dont think they ever wrestled.
I like his wwe theme but it didnt fit sting at all. it would fit a dark character like finn balors demon. sting in wwe wasnt a dark character he was just sting from tna and late WCW which is basically surfer sting with the crow paint and attire. wwe should of just used the theme he had in ready to rumble they played for his announcement in the 2k game or let him use seek and destroy by Metallica.
