It takes a day for counting. If it starts at 8 am till 8-9 pm we get clear results.
This is very simple to operate and 100% secure and safe, results come within 8 to 10 hours maximum other wise by ballot it will take week to count ballot papers
Now it doesn't take time in EVM as mentioned in the video. You confused with the ballet paper counting time.

(Daba sakta hai but 1 min extra waha khada rahna pade ga, but agar aap aisa karte ho to aap pe shak ho jae ga, aur aap arrest ho jao ge).

there is no rule as such that how many candidates can stand in election in india. India follows a multi party system rather than biparty system like in UK, or USA.
UK is also multi party just like India.

I have been counting Micro observer so many times and I can tell you that after EVM counting got completed by 3.00 pm and certificate got issued to the winning candidate by 6.00 pm

Once 32 people contested against one mp... majority were individual candidates

Other than parties any eligible indian citizen can be a candidate in elections. In elections many independent candidates also wins and go to loksabha😊😊❤. In this election 5 independent and 7 party candidates have filled nominations from my constituencies.❤
Counting goes on for only 12 hrs
One correction:
After EVM counting, one govt official updated the record on the result on election commission website.
Anyone can check the website for actual update.
Also one result slip is to be given to the candidate and media person available outside the counting hall.
Sharing with my personal experience on counting.
To answer your question, there's no limit as such on how many candidates can stand for elections coz apart from political parties few independents also contest so that decides how many EVMs are given in an area

The votes cast during Mock poll conducted just before actual polling are deleted from the machine..and again ' Result' button is pressed to show the polling agents of the candidates that there is not a single vote registered in the machine.

Hardly 10 hours lagta hai, evm pe, ballot counting used to take 72 hours
For result it takes less than 6 hours..in EVM System as against 48 hours in paper ballots..
You can contest election even as independent candidate & there is no limits on no of contestant but the amount, required to be deposited by the contestant at the time of nomination is forfeited if He/ She gets less than 10% of total votes.

For Ballot paper counting it requires 48 to 72 hours, for EVM counting within one day it will be counted.

This time Pune city Lok Sabha constituency had 32-35 candidates on the machine including parties and independent ones.

Obviously we must vote to built India. In my area, the date of the voting is 1 st June, the last phase. Me and my family will go for vote surely.

When we press the button inEVM, Vvpat WILL put the vote in the form of paper! Both the votes are counted and tallied for final result.
Now,By afternoon much of the picture get cleared.. And by late evening (on same day) 90% results comes up....
There are many parties in India and any number of candidates can contest from a seat. Even an individual who doesn’t belong to any party can contest election.
