Thank you. We haven’t changed it yet, but ideally we will just drain the water, the walls will naturally cave toward the middle of the pool floor. We will take it out and drop a new one in its place.
I love your video. I just got my pool 12x24 rectangle and placed cement block underneath but it was too high and the weight could not hold up. Had to drain and they sent me two new legs. This time I am placing the cement an inch deep like you did but I have to make sure each one was leveled. (didn't do that before) I was wondering how is your pool doing today? My bottom metal bent after two days.
Excellent job!! I would like to do something similar. I have a doubt, the rainwater that is trapped between the pool and the boards how do they make it disappear?. Thanks
Sure. We just googled “pool steps” and picked one out we liked. We didn’t want to do a ladder because it’s in the ground, so pool steps are going to be more for in ground pools. We love ours.
Thank you! When this is drained, the walls cave inward. So when it’s time for a new one, we will drain it, disassemble it and take it out. Then put the new one in its spot. We hope to get 7-10 years out of this one, because the last Intex we had above the ground lasted for a good while. Hopefully pools come back down by then. Lol

only problem i see is you would need a sump pump for the area around the outer edge of the pool because if that were to fill up from excessive rain youd lose your pressure advantage from the water in the pool pushing outward to keep the walls from falling inward
Thanks for your video! We set ours up yesterday and it’s only about 1/3 full of water so far. The sides are bowing in really bad and the weight of the water is really pushing out at the bottom (like a spare tire)!? My husband is concerned the steel bars are going to break or the pool is going to cave in!? You briefly said the sides will straighten out as you fill up… Should we be concerned? TIA for your insight and video.
Ours have been ok. Occasionally if the water level gets lower, the corners will stick, but once we fill it up, we kick the corners back and they go back in place.
Our soil drains well. We do have an automatic pump if it gets bad, but the only time we have a collection of water is during the spring when the water table is high.
Thank you. We dug down 4 feet. We wanted some sticking up so we could build the deck around it. Lots of ways you can do it though. Third season this year and still loving it. Much less expensive than a concrete or fiberglass.
How many seasons did it last? Because some people are saying that there is too much weight for only concrete blocks and the pool would sit down without a concrete slab…
We have a pump for that, but it hasn’t kicked on since last year in the early spring. Our soil is sandy though, so it drains well on its on unless the water table is high.
It’s great. Glad we did it. We’ve made some adjustments as far as installing an inexpensive sump pump that helps drain water if it gathers around the pool, but that’s only an issue in the early spring when the water table is highest in our area. We don’t regret it at all.
I like many of your videos. this summer I bought a similar pool, but smaller, and when I filled it with water, it was crooked, how did you manage to put it right?
Thanks for watching our videos! ❤️ We didn’t have any problems, but we began by kicking out the sides from the inside when it was empty and doing it every inch of water until it had a foot or so of water in it. But you could always drain it and fix it I guess. We drain ours in the spring and start with fresh water. We kick the sides out then as well and adjust anything that needs adjusted.
Excellent idea, what was the cost of all the wood for project? I live In Florida and plan to do same thing with a smaller intex pool.
