The basket strainer wrench you showed is what I use for tub drains as well. It fits an grabs the tubes giving a lesser chance of breaking and slowing your job down.
I did a reno on a 40 year out highrise and was on tub trim duty, a dumb bell plus pipe wrench works 90% of the time but some times you need a large nipple extractor when the cross breaks... Sometimes a sawzall hammer and flathead. But yeah that dumbbell if handy.
I can’t help but agree with you wholeheartedly, as I approach 50 I don’t go to any job without A kneepad. I wish I had thought like that when I was younger, it would’ve saved me a lot of pain down the road. People just don’t realize that that stuff stinks up on your over time.
Here in Sweden (and I believe many other parts of europe) we got knee pads integrated in our work pants so we dont really need to carry an extra but in america I see a lot of trades people work in their jeans so the extra knee pad is a must have in many situations

Milwaukee makes great uponor cutters. And superior tool makes a tub tool that you can put a socket wrench in (1/2 " drive), and I've never had a problem removing a tub shoe.
I have a set of tools like that not that many are used to work with a plumber I was doing the tile he was doing the plumbing I can’t do it no more though

I carry all those in my plumbing bucket except the nipple extractors, I'll have to get me a set of those as I have run into that type of issue several times. I also carry several types of Basin/Crescent wrenches, Rubber snake wrenches (boa constrictor), A rigid pvc/abs pipe reamer tool, a pex ring remover that's gotten me through many jams.
I was looking for a video on must have power tools if you have one, but I enjoyed this one also. As a commercial construction plumber, I always wear work pants or overalls with slotted double knees so I can put foam knee pads in. That way, I've always got my knee pads on! Got the work pants from Walmart and the foam knee pad inserts from Amazon.
I am a maintenance supervisor for a 73 year old multi family property. I have all these tools except the handle puller, swedge tool, first basket wrench and the tubing bender. Let me tell you that they are all a life saver. I cant say enough to having a good pick set for changing seats and springs and removing the rubber bits for positemp cartridges when the previous ones were never greased enough. Couple other tools I would add are a tub drain extractor, stem wrenches, and cartridge puller

Great information provided, I regularly use every tool shown including the kneeling pad!!! I would add that if your using a swage tool on copper to put a little plumber's grease on the tool before using it. If the swage tool get's stuck in the copper that's a whole other headache. Also, the tub drain dumbell works well for installing new spuds in commercial toilets and hoppers.
When i was in the plumbing trade, i had every one of the tools you showed, plus a few more. Even had a homemade water heater element remover. Worked a lot better than the ones you can but at the supply stores. I am retired now but still love all tools.
@Rogerwakefield rectorseal Makes the best tub drain tool of any and all... it's pushes the sides of the shoe and doesn't rely on the cross arms to grab for removal, that'll be the only one you need cause when you tighten, it also uses the shoe itself and not the cross arms so you don't need the other styles

1 of my favorite tools is a oil filter wrench I use for replacing garbage disposals, tightening or loosing my k-60, 2in / 1 1/2in PVC unions/backflow for injector pumps or subpumps and much more. I learn the plumbing trade in Texas from my great uncle Gaylen Bogard (he been a Texas plumber since he was 12 and now he in his 80s) and my dad (43 years as a licensed plumber) both are RMP it's on there much have tool list.

To pull a angle stop compression ring I would never use one of the home depot so much time those have cost me. Just buy the Pasco its expensive but works easily and is built to last a lifetime.
I've got a full suite of tube benders on my truck. Did industrial construction for years and have bent many thousands of feet of stainless (mostly 1/2"). There is a method to doing it well, fortunately my journeyman showed me easy ways to do it effectively early in my career. Without him I wouldn't be half as good at it. I found it strange you didn't include the cordless threader of your video thumbnail lol

One tool I find to be extremely helpful is the Ona puller for moen shower valves. I working service and I find this to be a life saver for Moen shower cartridges. It works on all moen valves
The stem/fering puller never works for me. I got one made from square tubing. The forks on the stem puller will bend outward and slip around the ring on stubborn ones. And my can’t do without tool is a hand pump. I ended making one from pvc. Haven’t broke it yet after breaking 2 pumps in a month.

Safety, along with owners workman comp insurance.being considered. Buy cheap tools, save few buck yes. But not only have, but will spend much much more within er-room/doctor. Once safety is compromised. Forget towards few intial bucks spent, think depth within your safety first. So you remain intact, towards many calls to come.
NEVER BUY A HUSKY BRAND BASKET STRAINER WRENCH!! Almost broke two different basket strainers with them and just went for the screwdrivers anyway. The husky ones are two sharp idk if there was something wrong with mine but when i bought it there was metal chips all over inside the package might wanna just play it safe and try a better brand or skip it.
Troxell XL Kneepads are the S&%@! at the company I work with, everyone demands them even though they're not the kind usually sent out to us. I can't even tell I'm wearing them, and they're easy to take off to go to the bathroom.

I’m in a pickle…. Why does my fill valve strat randomly bubbling for a second about 3 minutes after flushing the toilet?? I replaced the full valve and flapper and the problem still happens. Random bubbles come from bottom part of fill valve
Condensing tankless unit uses PVC as the flue. Non-condensing requires expensive stainless steel flue venting, typically concentric venting. Non-condensing units also use more energy to keep the flue gases hot as to not produce condensate inside the flue vent. Condensing units waste less energy that way. Which is why they're more efficient.

I have a question for you, I've been trying to get my plumbing license so I can start making more money and getting better contracts, but my last boss doesn't wanna give me my 1099 from the year I worked with him ( he used to pay me cash, telling that he would give the 1099 at the end of the year) and I basically have everything I need (SC) But he doesn't wanna give that and he also doesn't want to give my reference letter and I'm really angry and sad cuz he is the only Ive been working w as a plumber and I don't know what to do, I've been think about going to another state and get my license there but I think I would have the same issue, what do you think I can do ?
they are suppose to give you a reference for the experience. they are required to, ran into the same problem with an HVAC license. that person can get in trouble for that

The handle puller is a must. So is the copper rounding tool. Also a valve seat removal tool should be added to the list. Love the new shop set up.
That dumbbell tub drain remover is phenomenal. Sometimes you can use it for basket strainers too.

couple of the plumbers I work with use cordless cutters - same battery as their cordless expansion tool, of course.

I like the swagers we use in hvac...just push the tool in the hole, squeeze the handle, and it expands. no need to hammer it in.

2nd tool is not necessary because you can just use the end of any size adjustable wrench depending on your width of copper to round it
