    Awesome video! I’m real close to the area, in Balsam NC and I’m definitely gonna try to find some trails once i get some nice tires and a little lift on my FXT. Super exciting to see you so close.

      Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about my build.

      Perhaps one day when I can spend 2-3 weeks traveling, I'll definitely bring the Fozzy up there! 😴 I'd love to meet all yhe subie groups up there as well

    Awesome video man! I may be taking a trip with my wife to do hurricane creek trail in Ashville. Done it before in my tacoma and camped on Max Patch so I might try it. Any recommendations for hikes in Pisgah since it’s all remotely close to the same area?

    • @davechangauto
      @davechangauto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Josh!
      Let me know how your Fozzy does at Hurricane Creek! I've heard great things about that place and I'm wondering if it's possible without X-Mode and/or locker
      As for some trails, I would 100% consider Carver's Gap right by the TN/NC border (Roan mountain - about 2 hours from Hurricane Creek) ). It's a pretty easy hike (about 6 mile round trip) but the views are the closest to the rockies that we have - just a truly beautiful place. Just be sure to hit it very early in the morning (right before sunrise) to get the true experience.
      Aside from that, Linville Gorge also has some great views and popular hiking trails! There's several trailheads throughout Old NC 105!

      @@davechangauto awesome man thank you so much! Can I ask where did you guys stop to eat by the water? That was a beautiful area

    • @davechangauto
      @davechangauto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WEEKENDWNDR3RS Yup - no problem at all!
      This location is actually located on Brown Mountain Beach Road (located about 45 minutes away from Linville Gorge). The "road" itself is just a main road with lots pull-off area that families can walk down to the river. The specific spot in the video, unfortunately, is incredibly hard to locate on the map but it's literally just off the main road.
      Another downside is that it is an incredibly popular spot and will get swarmed by families of 20-30 before by noon (regardless if you've already set up camp there!) If you're interested in hitting this spot, feel free to let me know and I can provide more detailed specifics. Regardless, the rest of this road has many more amazing spots.
      On a side note, this Brown Mountain Beach Road is minutes away from Brown Mountain OHV trail system. I haven't done it personally but there are MTNROO members that run the trail occasionally - if you're interested, I can perhaps set up event with other members and we can all run it as a team (I've never done it tho!)

      @@davechangauto thanks for the detailed response man! Yea I was looking at that area when trying to plan out our trip. No need for specific coordinates just was curious Bc the overload of spots and such in the Asheville area!
      After looking at more recent videos of hurricane creek and how much harder it’s gotten since I did it 3 years ago in my Tacoma, I’m gonna pass this trip on it till I have a winch. But I did find a really nifty spot and trail in the Harmon Den area I’m gonna hit.
      I’m from Huntsville, AL and would love to do a MTNROO meet up so if you end up doing it let me know!

      As for your location - gee that'd be quite the drive wouldn't it!
      Throw me some time/dates that you may consider being in GA/NC and I can plan something with the MtnRoo team! If not, i'll check with them and will give you a date to look out for

    • @trance4you2
      @trance4you2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Take your OEM cap to a guy who has a 3d printer and will make you a new one with clearance for the LEDs

    • @davechangauto
      @davechangauto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Karlo!
      I actually just drilled a hole in the cap for extra clearance and pulled the wires thru
      May be different for your bulb but that's how I managed mine - the 3D printed option is very interesting tho 🤔
