I cannot understand why you haven’t tried to find out how the sculpture landed in your country.Could it be like many other artefacts looted during the occupations by the 8 allies ? I hope one day it would be returned to China

Could the woodblock have been part of another structure from the Song Dynasty and sculpted later, was dating done on the inner paint layer to confirm the Song dating of the wood?
