Greetings Kappy. I'm back from living in Hurricane Helene. I live in the mountains of NC. It was very bad here, but we are slowly starting to get back essentials. I noticed the "ghost in the window" at 14;45. it's Halloween time and you missed that, lol. Beautiful find as always. I missed your vids while i was without everything.
I think it's very sad beautiful old homes left to rot while there are homeless people who could at least get a roof over their heads and maybe fix them up a bit. Thankyou for sharing Kappy.
Always love to see you revisit! That second small house was a bit special. These types of houses are disappearing at an alarming rate which is a shame as they are a part of our history and heritage. My cat heard some birds on here and was looking for them. He enjoyed too. Thanks for sharing! Stay safe. ❤
Kappy, a webpage that I follow, "Only in North Carolina", has featured an old house using your photos. They've given you credit, and a connection to all your TH-cams. Cann't remember if this is the same one I had mentioned to you earlier, except this time, just 2 days ago, I remember the details. Anyway, it would be fun to check it out. Love following you!
Lots of good things in both houses. Of course the share croopers place was less ornate, but shows the difference in lifestyles from the main house. Thanks for sharing Mr Kappy! 😊
It is such a shame that people don’t try to restore these old houses and just let all this beautiful antique furniture ruin. Kappy, you do an amazing job capturing and recording these old homes. I have followed you for a long time and I always get excited when you have a new video posted.
Amazing that it is still standing and not much has changed from before except more natural decay. Could be saved but probably won't be. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
Don't get it why they had staircase so close to front door entrance but it was nice... really liked the ole wood cook stove/ heater.. and like how bedrooms were designed comin up stairs.. surely was a old shanty house, probably field help stayed.. thanks for sharing 😊...
Such a grand old home. You gotta love that green carpet! Hahaha! I had that in a house I grew up in, along with the wood paneling. Lol! I still love these old places. The items left behind just makes them even more interesting. Thanks Kappy for sharing another beautiful find. As always, stay safe. 😊
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 I didn't know that they were daffodils. Thank you for letting me know. They sure are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your explorations. This was very interesting. Like the before and after pictures and they pretty much looked the same. Hope the families who lived there had good memories. Seemed real peaceful. The last house looked like a ghost the way the curtain had fallen in the front window😂. Thanks!
Love that old fireplace/heater! Makes me sad to think someone was trying to live in the house as it was most likely falling down around them!😔 Thanks for the explore Kappy!
Thanks as always Kappy. I enjoy the nature photography you sometimes include in the end. Seems like you could start a line of calendars or puzzles featuring some of the stuff you capture on film, including the old house exteriors.
Always love a house with a porch, not as big as thought inside ,pretty neat, you can tell going down hill, second one was neat to see liked steps going in
This house can still be saved, but there are others I like to see saved more. I hope that the mantles and some of the furniture is saved. The 2 front doors are explained by one being fr the family and the other fr guests in the "visitiors" room.
The tenant house was similar to the first house I owned 35 years ago - cozy little house from the 30-40s. And torn down by latest owners a couple years ago. The main house had a nice floor plan- enjoyed seeing the video from a few years ago and wish there were pics of its early life. Always sad to see toys left behind. Thank you Kappy for including both houses. ❤️
I found the food prices on the grocery store ad from 1994 interesting…(and maybe a little depressing!) The house looked a little lonely…except for the little bat. Thank you, Kappy. 😊
wowwww kappy u did it again buddy i loveeeee old plantation houses abandoned or not beautiful and old old antique furniture loved it to thanks so much my gratefully deadicated fan see ya next time bud kim
On the outside, this house looks a lot like a semi-abandoned house I lived next door to when I was a first grader in the very early '90s. The main differences are that the house in my little neighborhood once had a second floor porch over the front door, and it was not as old (built around the turn of the century). The house was torn down in the mid '90s and I'd give just about anything to do an urbex explore of it now.
so sad to see an abandoned child's photo in the debris on the floor- small cabin. It might not have been luxurious but it was home- the daffodils say so.
Isn't it supposed to be 157 years old? If it is 175, it'll make it exactly from 1849 in the mid-1800s, instead of it being the late-1800s from 1870 - 1880.
i would say all these houses are STAGED by some one why don't the person making the video say so and be honest about it i asked other people they say yes they are

The 40’s
Why is the house painted gray inside? It almost looks like smoke damage, but there is no fire damage.

Soot/smoke damaged walls
