There are so many beautiful antiques left behind in this beautiful old home. I can’t understand why someone doesn’t get them before they ruin. Such a shame!!
That red sofa @ 4:34 is an easy professional reupholster. Old as the house, it is probably horsehair but better historic design fabrics you can buy in a fabric warehouse for yourself and give the upholsterer for the job. Might save some. Paid 600 for a larger, more complicated job maybe a decade ago.
I agree. I would never consider stealing but part of me thinks I should reconsider this stance seeing how many beautiful abandoned pieces there are. Somebody owns that property.
Ir,s a shame that such exspensive pieces are left to rot!, but if you take them, the spirits will follow you and persuade you until you bring it back!, spirits ARE REAL, the soul is very real, and spirits go back to the home they once lived in, so they are watching, it was most likely one of them made that noise!!, leave everything as you found it or the spirits will be very ANGRY! LOL 💜👊
Goodness! Those antiques need to be saved before they're ruined beyond salvation and usability! I saw several pieces that I'd love to have, including all the antique light fixtures! WOW! What a beautiful house! 8:35 is a men's shaving kit.
At 11:29 I believe that was military top coat in Army green with. Gold eagle buttons. Also I. Another bedroom at 14:58 the shirts look like khaki uniform shirts.
I've been collecting antiques for 50 plus years , you just found a major honey pot of good relics , even the light fixtures in that house are 100 years old ! You need to buy that house !!! Love all your videos !!!!!
What a time capsule! Such a beautiful ol girl! If only we could save them all. Should be against the law to tear down such perfection and history! 😭 thank you soo much again for bringing these amazing and beautiful homes to us here in TH-cam land 👏🏼🙌🏼✌🏼🫶🏻 Happy and Safe journey’s and Holiday’s to all!
What an incredible place! Some of the books had wild titles. And those last two rooms in the basement definitely held the vibe of their history. Would not be surprised if there was a bit of ghostly activity! Thanks, as always, Kappy! 💜
Wow! I loved the woodwork and the basement. The house seems to have been updated in the 1950s but it was interesting to see where paper fell to see the older wallpaper. From the contents it appears that habitation ended in the 1960s. The house may be too far gone to save but I hope the owners salvage those fine pieces of furniture and the photos, etc, that haven't been ruined by the elements. Thanks once again, Kappy!
Neat beautiful old house! Can't believe that nice (and very old) furniture was left behind. Thanks for showing it to us. By the way, you do the best and most thorough explorations of these old places!😊
What a beautiful house that has some serious history in it still. This one can actually be saved it has some very great old bones and features. Love all the furniture and most of the wallpaper too. Thanks for sharing and you have a great day with safe travels.
OMG... So beautiful. The antiques...That was a shaving kit you saw and wondered about with the brush for cream and an old timey electric razor. This was a jewel. I just can't believe there was no one to care about it. So sad... Such a beautiful property too. The camellias were lovely. It looked so well built with the finished basement and attic. Unbelievable. You are the best Kappy!!! You never disappoint, and your videos are soothing and relaxing. You really give a "feel' of the place. So enjoyable... Thank you so much.
Wow, what a great house! So much bigger than it looked from the outside. Cant believe its just been left to rot all this time. There is some nice pieces of furniture in there also. Really very nice. Thanks, Kappy
I saw this house some years back and I so hoped someone would restore it. So sad that no one and now just more decay. Thank you so much Kappy I have been watching you for years and you just get better every year. Great photography!
That was a beauty at one time. I loved the windows, and so many antiques. I imagine the couple that lived there had no children. So when they died, the house has been sitting there, and that is why, it is what it is today. Very sad.
Wow, the antiques left behind will be ruined very soon with the ceiling coming down. That home was built to last forever and would have if it was kept up. The land is beautiful as well. Looks like they were there and just left. Looks so homey! You can imagine before the damage, how beautiful it was. I would have loved to see some of the framed pictures up close! Excellent tour ❤
Those antiques are beautiful and valuable. As ramshackle as this one looks, it's not beyond saving yet. But it needs help right now. A museum curator should take a look at the contents of this house.
Hi Kappy👍 Yes! This is a yesterdream house, And does remind me of the plantation house my family moved into years ago, there were staircases, and one had a small room bigger than a broom closet, big enough for a half bath. I used to hide from my Mom that was going through her change, but I was wrong, My Mom later on gave me a sister when I was 17, always wanted a sister, but living way in the country, we still got lots of company. There was so much to that house, but also had it’s legend of a wealthy Indian woman who let soldiers stay but they would come up missing. Different pathways in it and it of course was haunted for sure. Different things happened, but the weirdest thing was when I stayed down in the parlor next to the dining room where there was a large dining room set, my Mom got for a present, and as I woke up alone there, there were butlers and servants, maids all around serving people who looked like they were from the 1800s, I rubbed my eyes and ran out the side porch. Went back in and they weren’t there anymore and my family was still sleeping at the time😳😱😁
Kappy, You find some of the most BEAUTIFUL places, I just can't believe Nobody would take time to give back some love that most show they had at one time. Great Videos. BE Safe ❤😊✌️
So many fireplaces, but only 2 chimneys? Was that a picture of Teddy Roosevelt at the top of the stairs? I can imagine the garden, ladies in their dresses, and the loveliness of that Federal in its time. Fantastic, Kappy. Thank you!
So sad that the antiques are just left! Looks like the grounds are maintained. What a cool find. Your camera work is so good. You give me time to see things. What a walk back in time. Great video.

Photo's tell a lot about this families history.. when I saw the deer head and the gun rack I knew the man of the house was a hunter and I started watching to see the canning jars and canning storage and was not surprised when I saw it in the basement. The man was also a doctor of some kind from the books on biology and medicine. The coat with the eagles I'm guessing was a military coat. I love when you look at the kitchen and the house this one really tells a lot about the family that lived there, thanks for sharing the details. Anna In Ohio

Beautiful old house. Makes me feel sad seeing it abandoned and left to rot. Just imagine all the happy Christmases that were had in that home over 174 years... if only the walls could talk. It started its life in a very, very different world than it is today. It was a much more simple, innocent world. 🎄
Sad to see a wonderful home like this that was once full of life and love sit like this. I am so glad it looks to be just natural decay and no one rummaging through things to steal things . Looks like they passed away and there was know one to claim anything or know one wanted anything ....sad all the old pictures and furniture rotting away. And the old wool Army Coat was amazing . Thank you Kappy for coming to this wonderful day home and showing it to us . Great video as always Kappy !! 👍👍

What was that Civil War movie where they put the pump organ in the attic? Was it ‘Friendly Persuasion?’

What an incredible find! Amazing the inside is in as good shape as it is. I think that was an additional bathroom on the porch. Can’t you imagine it in its heyday? Thanks for the tour.
Such a great find. Reminds me of my grandpa's place.
What a beauty, Kappy! So full of history! Thanks for the great tour. ♥️
