Honestly, I think you have seen more of Denmark in your time here than I have in my 30 years here haha, I actually started to use your channel for ideas where to go in my own country. A little bit oxymoronic 😁
You should definitely go to Roskilde festival all of you, and do a bit about that. Would love to see it. It's one of the best things about summer, and it should be coming back this year.
Beds and comfort are to be found at Roskilde! and no age is too old! You go for the music and the atmosphere ⭐🎶 Ragnarock is cool and even better, the older you are! A very nostalgic visit for me 😉 hello from Denmark 🌸 ❄
The festival is also a big thing alot of people have gone to it year after year. I spent every year there for 10 years when I was younger. It is a great experience. Great video guys.
23 år i rap her. jeg fylder 40 om et øjeblik... Ved ikke helt om jeg skal op på hesten igen efter corona... :D -Men det er de bedste 23 uger af mit liv jeg har brugt på dyreskupladsen!
There is family camping and caravan camping at Roskilde festival. At least when I use to go. I still go to festivals, just swapped Roskilde festival with Copenhell Metal and Rock Festival.
We used to go to more festivals, in 2019 we went to a ton. But we never camp, except at Tønder as it is so far from everything else it's really the only way to make it work.
I can only recommend Roskilde Festival. I went there 10 years in a row in my younger years. Now i'm also too old to stay the whole week. It's impossible to explain the feeling. But apart from the music, there is a ton of art, cool people of all kinds of society. And plenty of opportunity to socialize with random people :) Oh... And the food!
Great that you went to RagnaRock. It's not a rock museum though, it's a museum for youth culture. I have 2 items on the permanent exhibit there as I designed both the Boominator and the SoundBoks. And basically every single one of the large sound systems on the camping grounds at Roskilde Festival are based on my ideas for how to be able to have loud music with minimal power usage. And on the getting too old for Roskilde. Bah, you're both puppies :D The average age in my camp is about 48. And let me just clarify, there are no portaloos at Roskilde Festival anymore. They are all regular flush toilets now and there's plenty of showers. For us "old folks" there's even a special Silent and Clean camp area where you're not allowed to play music between 10PM and 10AM. Nor is your camp allowed to have trash lying around. Both are strictly regulated and enforced. Honestly though, most in our camp don't go for the music so much anymore but we're 12-15 people that more or less only see eachother that one week of the year because we live in different cities and countries. One thing I could not imagine missing is the Food Court tour, and you just can't do that in one day. The Food Court is an area with about 16 food stalls, all run by Michelin star restaurant chefs. The price is capped and everything is at least 80% organic. We make a point of trying everything in there each year, and also the small gourment food stalls strewed around the festival area.
Looks like you missed out on the point of the giant turning LP. You are supposed to lie down and look into the ceiling, where a music quiz is playing. It´s a great museum
23 years in a row as guest on the Roskilde Festival... I am allmost 40 and I have spent all week in a tent every year! I'll never be too old to be drunk, relaxed and friendly while watching the best performers from around the world... certain parts of this museum feels very much like home. :) -I bought the little black keychain leather heart last time i was there, I have it on the set of keys for my Suzuki Chopper MC... Rock on! :)
Btw, just remembered. Since you're from Chicago do you know one of the most important record labels out there? The migthy Wax Trax was a little Chicago shop that became as important as CBGBs in the 80's. Must have had a lot of US vinyls from Wax Trax over the years. Could be 50 or more..
It was my first time and currently has my favorite painting about the Dannebrog falling from the sky, so for that reason alone I loved it. But as a whole, the building and the cafe are fantastic. I reach my saturation point with art pretty quick since I am not an art historian or anything, so I will need to go back a few more times to be able to really take it all in.
SMK also has some amazing concerts there. I saw the movie IRON SKY there and then we got Laibach afterwards. They did the soundtrack. A different world to anything chill and relaxing. But a fave band of mine since 1988.
Josh, this is the guy i based my look on... Pulls up an exact clone of himself. Love it. Btw, how often does Chihiro get the Chihiro og Heksene line thrown at her? Nice to know its a common enough name.. 😎
🇩🇰 Dane here, never been to the museum, never heard of it lol. Now i have. But oh no you are wrong about beeing too Old, thats not true, im 49 and would go in a heartbeat, if i ever Got that kind of money, for a ticket. These days, theres so Many ways of living in a festival, if you have the money, you will get comfort.

We know :) This video was specifically about the museum. We have been to Roskilde several times and love it. We just havent had a chance to do a video about it yet.
The average age at Roskilde Festival is 22, but it is for all ages! Been there for +25 times...You just get the festival under your skin, or you hate it! Nothing in between...
Ragnarok is not a festival but the end of the universe, followed by the fimbul winter (eternal darkness and freezing cold), not to be celebrated....the universe WILL burn out and implode, not even Loke nor Fenris would wish for ragnarok!!!
Cmon Josh, we all know why that poncho thingy came across as offensive.. it looks like what they wear in a racist clan from the 60's 🥴 Anyways nice video as usual 😁

That is funny and super cool to hear. I’m glad you enjoy!
Me too.....
Les than 50 meters from the Ragnerok is a fantastic café, great coffee and there’s a beer bar 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I just fell in love with Chihiro, when she ordered the kartoffel mad ❤ Thanks for another great video 🙂

Yeah, my boss for my last job in the US is Danish and he would fly back to DK each summer to go to the festival.

My school is like 300 meters away from there.
Really interesting to see that you've been that close to where i go.
We are all over :).
I visited the Ragnarock museum in 2016. Cool to see it’s still there!
Ragnarock is a great museum to show the newer cultural history of Denmark and how much influence America has had on it.

I love this museum and is why I decided to make a new music video there. The visuals is amazing. I agree!

clearly you are close to where I live with all the sirens in the background 🤣🤣
If the museum have a broken chillum from 1973, its mine. 😅
My only trip to Roskile was a Mustang cruise with all the other US cars :D. What a strange museum :D .

You can go to Roskilde festival a slep in a comftebel bed
Nice, I didn't know that!
I saw you (Josh) at statens museum for kunst today, what's your opinion on the museum?
It was my first time and currently has my favorite painting about the Dannebrog falling from the sky, so for that reason alone I loved it. But as a whole, the building and the cafe are fantastic. The world's longest longship was found in Rhoar's Kilde fiord at being 30 meters long, lol, NOW THAT'S APPLICABLE!!!

Is Chihiro also American? I don’t detect much of an accent
She is from Japan, but has lived in America before. She’s been in DK for 8-9 years or so now though.
