QUESTION: Have you heard the George Fisher solo work "Corpsegrinder - Corpsegrinder"? It just came out this year. Nick Bellmore and Charlie Bellmore (of Toxic Holocaust) on Drums and Guitar/Bass, recorded by Erik Rutan.

Malevolent Creation rules. FIrst saw them in 91, and I am going to see them on the upcoming 2022 tour with narcotic wasteland. Has the guy from Solstice now and I heard he does a good job. RIP Brett.

They had the Blabbermouth chocolate milk story fiasco and there was bad publicity with that vocalist/bassist's lyrics at some point? I think that kinda tarnished how they were perceived. I need to dig my tapes and listen again as it's been too long. I pulled some live footage from this year and they sounded VICIOUS.

I saw Divine Empire on the same tour in Albuquerque, NM at the Launchpad venue--always found it interesting that the vocalistst/guitarist, last name of Soars I think, thanks "god" in the liner notes of the Redemption album.
-------let's not forget Derek Roddy did drums on Hate Eternal's crushing "King of all Kings" album; the track: Powers that Be is killer

I remember when he originally got convicted.....that mugshot was the talk of the local scene around here. Haha. To be honest he was always cool to me. Just never had any business contact etc.

Bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, Tank etc.are traditional Heavy Metal.
Death, black, thrash, doom, speed, sludge etc. are all branches of the Heavy Metal tree. So technically, they are all Heavy Metal.

I completely understand the hesitancy on Chelsea Grin. I checked out their demo, and it was pretty good, albeit Deathcore. I steered clear of all Deathcore for YEARS, but I've finally decided to check some out (mainly due to how badass Bog Wraith are).
Side note; a Chelsea Grin is the type of injury similar to what you see on Heath Ledger's Joker.

Thanks for the reply as always. Yeah man, junkies will do some crazy stuff for some cash. I remember those Blakecrush shirts! Thats quite the memory. Malevolent creation is beyond underrated. I love the stillbirth record. You got any of the classic Finnish death metal bands in the collection?

What happened with Blake was sad. We need to help each other out when others are down, but to be a repeat offender is different. To have to basically exile someone is not a fun thing to do, and Blake was nice to me back in the earlier days of social media. I am one to give someone a chance to redeem themselves, but at one point you have to draw a line in the sand.

As someone who was ripped off by Blake and had him laugh about it when I called him out last year I think he should just od and get it over with

any opinion on the chris barnes bs thats been going on recently if youve heard of it, with him saying that all modern DM is trash. I mean he has kinda got a point but its so childish that he's resorting to saying controversial things on twitter to try and stay relevant. And then you have all these deathcore "vocalists" giving their opinion on the matter and its just so god damn stupid. When did the DM scene turn into this, childish high school arguments on social media and making roast videos on people. Anybody new coming into the scene is going to think that is all it is because that is what the mainstream is throwing at them.

LOL totally true about bands claiming about being around for x amount of time. When they take 5,10, 20 years breaks.

Thanks for the reply! Awesome that Don threw up that large number for those devils congregies! Majority of my peers were satisfied with Metallica and pantera when it came to metal. If a band like carcass came up it was passed off as “crazy shit” . Although there was some people that were in the know. I brought this up since there was a few poser topics on previous vids I wanted to catch up and put in my 2 cents. I am on the same boat as you haha had long hair, started going thin on the top looking like robo from black flag haha.

A question not related to this video, but rather a callback to a Hellcast episode where you guys discussed the concept of extreme music... What is the the earliest record you would label as extreme?

Question- Since your a big Deicide fan have you checked out the Amon album Liar in Wait that Eric and Brian did a while back? It’s a lot more technical than Deicide but I think you’d like it!

Those "heavy metal" bands that Panini Douche likes utilizes the worst kind of vocals - the "good cop/bad cop" vocals. I believe Metal Inquisition coined the term.

Where's the line for distinguishing genres? Do you think that "Black Metal" should encompass "Depressive Suicidal Black Metal," "War Metal," "Atmospheric Black Metal," ect. OR do you think specific distinctions are useful in a world with a million different sounding bands?
Blake Judd stole money from me during the Ascension Monument Media fiasco 4 or 5 years ago. The only reason I even bought from him was because he was backed by NWN. Judd is a world-class turd.
