- In this video I show and explain all the mods and custom tricks I did to my Redcat Sixty Four RC Lowrider car so far:
- Working Moonroof
- 8A BEC 8.4V to improve hopping
- Scale MOB Audio system
- Custom 3 channel Color Bar
- Micro steering servo
- Spring loaded Flints to throw some sparks
- Custom shocks for a different bounce
- Benedini TBS Mini sound module to create engine sounds and more

Man that's an amazing job you did when I seen that moonroof man it took me back to the 80s and my 63 I took a moonroof out of a Lincoln and put a 40 inch glass in my 63 it was mint green and the moonroof was Green great job let me know if you ever go get around the building 63 straight Impalas I definitely pay you some big bucks I have pictures of mine when I had it in the car shows it was just mint green outside with original mint green interior had the big tilt wheel and I had big hubs on it with of course nothing but Cinco Vantas also known as 520's those are the good days

I want to mod the hell out of mine (I build functional model lowriders and love seeing how far I can go with the mods while not interfering with the servos and the hopping motor), but I still have it in the box because I truly believe that this RC, at least the Jevries Edition will become a collectors item. If I had the extra money, I’d spring for another one to mod and use. If I do, I’ll definitely post my mods in either the TH-cam comments or on IG (or both).

Yo Jevries man I love that you are getting more in depth with your videos I have a cc01 tamiya I tried converting to a lowrider with a regal grand national body I cant find all those exotic realistic looking parts my wire wheels look to big and I cant find those shocks like the ones in your 4 any insight on where to look especially for the realistic daytons I love how you did the wheels on the big 64 with the PVC pipe will you ever do a how to video on that

How much for one of your RC car been wanting to do one or buy one that is very dope bro 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I would love to see Red Cat expand their RC lowrider line to maybe include a 70s to 80s Monte Carlo, a mid 70s, to early 80's Cadillac, an oldie like a late 40's Chevy, or any 1950's Chevy, including an early 50s Chevy pick up, a 74-76 Caprice Glasshouse, and Impalas from other years. A 59, 60 convertible would look sweet, especially if you could get it with fender skirts, and continental rear bumper, and spare tire set up.
I hope this lowrider RC class grows in popularity, and expands so we get to maybe see some of the vehicles I mentioned, or vehicles you would like to see as lowriders.
I think we can't only rely on Redcat to create a wide assortment of Lexan models to fit this chassis. The way they created the Sixty Four body is expensive. I hope to be able to bring a couple of car bodies to the market but they will not be as detailed as the Sixty Four.
@@jevries To bad. That said I love the 64 Impala body on this thing, because it looks almost like a big static model. Red Cat scored one hell of a home run engineering this beautiful highly detailed body. I just ordered one of these lowriders, and the apartment complex I live at has a bunch of nice concrete pathways winding through, and around the complex, which will make perfect 1/10 scale cruising roads.
It'll be fun cruising the complex in the cool evening hours with this thing, and seeing the looks on people's faces when I make it hop, and do all the other cool things this model can do.
@@HobbiesRfun I did not want to compromise on the Sixty Four body and it went to the extend of me almost pulling out the project. From the start I wanted a body that looks as close to a 1:1 as possible, dimensional wise. Luckilly Redcat aknowledged my plea and decided to go full out and it came out WAY beyond my expectations.

Have you ever thought of doing a flint bar that scrapes the ground for more sparks?
I've seen someone using thinner flints and those seem to work much better...but it can also be the composite material. I guess not all magnesium is alike.
