Finally, nice weather! I took advantage of it, and took my ebike on a short ride-8 miles. One of the roads I explored was so torn up, I may as well have been off road. Actually off road would have made for a smoother ride. I found out that the display has a lot more functions than I thought, and none of them mentioned in the manual. I knew I could switch between odometer, time elapsed, and trip meter, but didn't know about battery voltage, current, and remaining mileage. I was shocked to see the battery voltage at 52.7v while riding. The battery is advertised as 48v. Either I won the battery lottery and got a strong battery, or it is undervalued. When I got back to the house, I still had 47.5 volts left on the battery.
no kidding Russ those weed whackers kick up a lot of debris, only just yesterday i caught a great dollop of grit, twigs and everything else, I was not wearing my goggles if you know what i mean, i did stop and point out ,but to be fair i was coming from behind, perhaps weed whacker operators should have rear view mirrors 😆
will be great to see yourself and Mrs Russ doing that trek you guys did last year along that massive lake, Michigan i think it called, that was lovely to see.
Its great to get back outside again on the bikes. The sweet fragrences of honeysuckle gardenias and other sweet smelling flowers makes the ride that much more enjoyable. Thanks Russ
I have high pressure also and take meds for it. Last week went to the Dr and my BP was 122 over 77. I have been swimming 1 1/4 miles for the past 3 months and bicycling 3 miles to swim. So yes exercising helps.
Hey Russ, Freedare gots to fix their battery glitches. Great to hear your BP improves with ebike rides! Agreed, having a second battery is a hassle transporting it, most companies need to figure it out. I like the AR Grizzly and the Motor Goat V3 and how they integrate the second battery. Hoping you can get your hands on these quality ebikes for review, then you can go on Rand Road going 35+ mph🤣😂
In cooler weather, I’ve discovered my helmet will fit over a jacket with a hoodie. As a musician, I value my hearing and a hoodie was knocking down the wind noise which can tweak up the little bit of tinnitus I have. (Thanks again Hendrix). The seasonal wind is beginning to subside here but I wish I had an alternative to a hoodie.
@@RussIsRightI will! I’d have more of my music videos up but many are remixes and I’ve agreed with the labels to not place them in public streaming sites. That and I’m standardizing what I could post to -14LUFS.
8:40 Battery Charger issues .. they absolutely need a firmware update that would drive me nuts. I would lose faith in that company and in particular that battery pack.
20:25 Russ you do kinda look like that guy from that 1970's TV show Chips, i mentioned this before in jest and a compliment. Erik Estrada officer Francis i loved that show when i was a nipper.
I will have the Rad Power Bike - Radster Road Large in blue available after I get it and do the review. Not sure of the price yet though. It would essentially be brand new with just a few miles on it for the review. You can see it here: www.radpowerbikes.com/collections/electric-city-commuter-bikes/products/radster-road-electric-commuter-bike?variant=40271957491808
Love your videos, Russ. I doubt the charging issue is what they say it is. I used to be in the LiPo battery business. It seems more likely some of the cells were below 2.68V and the pack wouldn't charge because of that. Trying to charge it puts a bit of test voltage back in and after 2 or 3 times you probably ended up with just enough voltage in the pack to let the charger run normally. BTW, at 3:05, the car on your right had the ROW 😉
Many times the drivers will slow down and expect that bike riders will go forward so to make it easier to get through quicker, I will just go. Could be a regional thing.
I had it on PAS 3, which is the highest PAS level on this ebike since it is a torque sensor bike. That's really all that is needed on torque sensor bikes since you decide how much effort to do to get you to the 28 mph.
Nice vid. I have those bars on our Tesway, love em. Don't you have a dual battery discharge balancer? I like to have one on every ebike so we can easily swap the extra 20ah batt in rack bag on each bike
When you're riding out & about, do vehicle drivers see your hand signaling? Do LEOs pull/stop you & ask you about your bike(s)? Myself, was stopped couple times & gave straight answers. No problem!...Stay Safe, Ride Safer... Aloha from Hawaii
Yes, I believe it is easier for me, but it could be just the bike. No way would I have been able to pedal like I did on this video when I was heavier. I am less winded pedaling now.
Ive got a Mokwheel tor plus, and it’s got the battery in a similar spot. Nothing to crazy, but sometimes you have to work a bit to get the battery out since it’s right there by the the front tire. Any issues with that with tbis bike and battery? I prefer the batteries being on top of the frame, just a small thing that annoys me with these battery locations 😂
I am curious about the scooter 🛴, so I will definitely want to check that out. I have been looking at them online for a while now. So Russ, seems to me that you may be the Jay Leno of e bikes. 😉

so nice to see back on the road again . I know you were frustrated with the weather in Chicago . looking fwd to more videos .
Check your sugar before and after riding. Should see a good result. Lower sugar helps BP also.

Nice to back on the road again😊
Bike weight (with battery) 84.2 lbs! Heavy, heavy beast!

Regarding scooters, i would feel like Bart Simpson totally butt naked from the movie, my Daughter giggled, i covered my eyes 😂

Yay i recognise that sound, great to see you back out on the road again.
Thanks!
Hello Russ, the Fiido Titan has the facility to carry two spare batteries on the rear rack, thanks. I always enjoy your reviews, by the way.
Thanks!

Maybe a sleep function should be added to their battery. Did you have it on pas 3 or 5 today, when you tried to get top speed.
I had it on PAS 3, which is the highest PAS level on this ebike since it is a torque sensor bike. That's really all that is needed on torque sensor bikes since you decide how much effort to do to get you to the 28 mph.

Yes, they see my hand signals. I have had a couple of people ask me about the bike when I"m stopped at a stop light.
Are you noticing your weight loss as you ride the bike?
Yes, I believe it is easier for me, but it could be just the bike. No way would I have been able to pedal like I did on this video when I was heavier. I am less winded pedaling now.

I did not have any issues removing the battery. Typically, if you keep the front wheel straight, you can get the batteries out without much problem.
So they come out every 17 yrs, mate and die. Sounds like my life story.

I was going to do the scooter this weekend, but had a bunch of yard work to do instead. The scooter should be later this week hopefully.
