Congratulation's on a job well done. In over 50 years in the Concours world, hands down, this is the greatest story I have ever watched unfold. All of the students can be so very proud of their accomplishments. However, it also look great foresight from the school administrators and staff to get behind this project. Thanks also to Jay Leno and the many others who made this story happen. This same car just won 'Best in Class' at the prestigious Hilton Head Concours SC in November of 2024. This documentary film was featured at 2024 Hilton Head film festival by organizer Guy Smith. 5 stars to everyone involved.
This is amazing! My very talented eclectic neighbor in Florida purchased this car, did the first restoration and drove it for many years before it was sold to the owners that donated it to the college. At 87 years old she will be traveling to Pebble Beach this year to see for the first time this beautiful car that is swimming in old memories and adventures from days past. I am so excited for her!
A wonderful story---The Pebble Beach Concours is the Best of the Best. . At 87 years young that is a real tribute to the students and staff of MacPherson College
A great accomplishment. The Pebble Beach exposure will generate a great awareness of McPherson College. I was in the Auto Restoration Program in the early years. We were fortunate to have "Pop" Rice as an instructor. We restored a 1932 Pierce Arrow convertible sedan. Do we continue the journey with another Pebble Beach attempt?🤔
Mark, I saw you and some others I remember (in the black and white photo) from my Mac days. Interesting piece. Proud of the McPherson College team and values.
What a tremendous accomplishment by a group of students from a small school in middle America. To take not just an automobile, but a classic Mercedes and finish second in their class is a true accomplishment! Not only restoring a worthy automobile, but to teach the next generation to keep the hobby alive. I wish all these young men and women well in their future careers. Keep on wrenchin'! GO BULLDOGS!❤ GREAT PRÉSENTATION AND CONGRATULATIONS!😊
Love it! When I graduated in 1993 I LOVED working on vintage cars and muscle cars and knew I was going to restore cars in the future. I could not stand working on new cars. I did not know how to proceed so just kept it as mostly a hobby but a little side money at times. Had McPherson been around then and if I had known about it, I would have been trying to go. This is my latest restoration. th-cam.com/video/EpoRB-3wOu0/w-d-xo.html

I was there and saw the car and the enthusiasm it generated, definitely a crowd favorite.

Just getting an invitation to be on the lawn is a great honor. Winning any award is a blessing.
