  • Using a torch and 104 COE “soft glass”, join national instructor Marcy Lamberson for a mini tutorial in making a pine cone bead. Notes: tool used is a "concave convex plier" used in the jewelry making industry - under $20. Glass was Effetre ivory and transparent dark brown. 1/16th mandrel with Dip N Go Blue Sludge. You can find Marcy's art on Facebook: Marcy Lamberson or Studio Marcy and on Instagram @marcylamberson (and just a quick note.. at the very end, I called it a mushroom...honestly, I know the difference!)

Thank you Marcy! I was trying to make pine cones several years ago and it didn't dawn on me to use these pliers. Thank you!

Petra, the concave convex pliers are used in wire working for jewelry makers. So anywhere from your local craft store, like Michaels, online like Rio Grande and lots of other places.
