They may break me and get me to buy all 3. This set is looking absolutely loaded in power level, good mechanics and high value lands.
My understanding of Vraska is that it would work similarly to Shelob (i.e. loses types not abilities). So if you paid 1 the novice inspector would "return to the battlefield" as a treasure and also generate a clue. Do that with a sheoldred and you'd have a treasure that does her nasty trick on card draw.
Not a lie...if it makes Sheoldred's "I am pathetic so I just hide behind a 5 toughness vampire" just a treasure, I'm putting 4 of her in my Deck. "Sheoldred, the Apocalypse" is a broken overpowered card that should have never have been allowed. You want her to have all those abilities? Fine, but she has less toughness so a 4 Toughness nuke can end her, or she costs WAY more mana. The fact she can come out to ruin your day on Turn 4 with 4/5, death touch, and that persistent effect proves they don't understand game balance. And they wonder why something like 67% of the decks in the game have Black Mana in them...
I got 90 percent completion rate on Murders at Karlov Manor when it came to set, and honestly I'm pretty satisfied with that. I don't see a big reason to spend a lot of money, since I can afford the battlepass and pretty much play for first 4 wins every day. Will probably do a lot of value drafting this time around I think
If you're playing for 4 wins per day consistently, I'm not surprised that you're earning enough to not need to spend money 👍
@@gameschooldadMTGMe plays for 15 daily. I would be happy if there were at least 30 of them. Please advise me what cards put to the sidedeck of your upgraded boros arcane bombardment🤔 I like it
(english is not my 1st language sry)
Hey there, I've recently started playing MTG Arena this past weekend and was wondering if there's any good deck builds that can be made out of the starter decks? I don't have enough wildcards to make anything so was wondering if anything decent can be made from the cards you start with?
I would just buy packs until you have enough wildcards to build a decent budget deck and upgrade it from there. It can be slow for the first month or two, but if you play draft, jump-in or starter deck duel events, it doesn't matter if you have a small collection to start with.
The mastery pass for OTJ is actually only worth 3000 gems. They cut the gold rewards from 4000 gold in previous mastery passes to 2000 gold here. This equates to 400 gems less value than in previous passes.
Video on this coming out today. They have reduced the gold for some reason, but 2000 less gold hardly makes any difference to the overall value of the mastery pass.
Also they cut packs to the half of the average (now 20 packs)… a moneygrabbing move from wizard. This set is good but they really not deserve money.
Man....I bought it...been waiting 2weeks and its still not available...even though it's April 16?
There will be an update later today when the new set is actually released.
This game has been a nightmare since Sunday. I can't escape Werewolves, Esper Control (using basically nothing but 2021 cards), Innistrad White/Black lifegain....
I have done the math...Esper Control has been 37 of the last 42 games I have played...in unranked play. I gave up ever playing ranked. I'd rather rub myself with poison ivy than deal with the slime that comes back during expansions in there. Now it's just...the game isn't fun anymore. You win once....and lose 10-12 times. I make a 60 card mono-blue deck...and get owned. I change tactics and go with a Red/Black deck....and get owned. There is no point to play if the game basically decides at turn 0 I will lose. They really need to get rid of the 3 year old cards....they are so overpowered compared to most of the new stuff all I'm seeing is "This is basically all New Capenna and Innistrad...except I added Deserts! Hahah!"
Those qualifier points are worth quite a bit to those looking to use them; they are quite difficult to earn.
That's a fair point. I get the feeling that it's a small minority of players who are looking for them though.
@@gameschooldadMTG I would agree, I'd guess most players are not interested in playing competitively enough to be interested in them.
Any chance they slow down with these set releases? This pace is getting ridiculous.
Probably not for a while. It seems like they're very invested in the current pace of product releases
@@JG-kk7wk It feels like it switched from 1 set per 2 months to 1 per month. And the mastery pass on arena feels shorter and shorter. Might just be me imagining things...
I purchased all 3 bundles. Im always running out of Uncommons since you cannot purchase in store like Rares and Legendaries. Plus I like all the different merch.
You must have access to the elusive premier shuffler if you're buying all three 🤣
I'm debating doing that this time. I want the packs, because I'm a longtime fan of Jace and Gideon, and that new Jace Planeswalker I find the real prize, with Oko a decent fun option. The Mastery Pass is the one I will always buy, but that Tinybones pet just looks awesome.
I don't know....I'm so freaking tired of running into Innistrad werewolves and Watching "Vanquish the Horde" be a win condition.
I'm sick of it taking me 2 days to get to platinum, and then go the remaining 29 days of the month STUCK at Platiunum 4 because I fight like crazy to get a win....and then I lose 5 or 6 games in a row...to Innistrad Werewolves, because they go first, have perfect ramp. And the rare time it's NOT that...I see Sunfall and Vanquish the Horde 4 or 5 times.
It's gotten to where I see a deck that isn't 85% New Capenna or Innistrad garbage I almost want to send the person a Thank You card.
I usually hang out in Platinum anyway playing fun decks rather than trying to grind up from there for 1 extra pack in rewards. I'm in diamond this month, but only because I played more ranked games than normal. I'm surprised that you see any werewolves or vanquish the horde at all, I don't think I've seen those cards used in at least 6 months. Graveyard Trespasser was the only one I saw a lot of and that's mostly replaced these days too.
@@gameschooldadMTG I honestly think I have just very bad luck. Everyone else sees that or I will have them watch me and they will go: how in the world do you keep seeing these?
The other option is that I'm being fed to people who apparently spend so much money on the game they can afford a deck that is nothing but esoteric rares and mythics.
I got to the point where I just make the decks I want and play for fun. With the number of decks made from other people out there that people use they just win and that's it. Who knows one of these days I can make a deck of my own that can compare. Besides that I think the rewards are ridiculous. You grind to mythic or diamond in the end its not worth it for 1000 coins and a pack in difference. It should be like 3000 coins up to 15000 in mythic not 5000 I can make in 4 days of regular playing. Its just stupid. You really arent being rewarded for your grinding. 1 play point for rank wouldn't be bad either. Up to 5 in mythic and you could win like 10 if you got to top 1200.
