I enjoy using QNAPcloudlink for remote access to my NAS, it works a treat! Is there another video which would show me the best way to give secure access to my adult children from their own households?

Hi, Andrew. Thank you for your feedback. They can access the NAS using the same smart URL that you would use to connect remotely, but there are a few options as to how you want this to work. As seen at 2:55 in this video you can choose access control. If you select “Public” they can get to the NAS login screen, simply by inputting the NAS smart URL in the address bar of their browser and then inputting the NAS credentials on the login screen. If you set to customized then you can have them create their own QNAP ID here: account.qnap.com/signup, and then give their QNAP ID access to the login screen. Additionally, you can choose to either let them use your admin NAS credentials to sign in if you don’t mind them having full admin privileges, or you can create their own user accounts and set specific privileges for those user accounts. You can reference “QNP123 NAS Administration: Shared Folder Permissions” to see how to adjust shared folder access for the user accounts that you create.
