Brhamos is a fire and forget weapon with excellent accuracy and very advanced computer program. Its already a supersonic weapon and accelerated to 3 times the speed of sound which makes it impossible to stop even with any anti missile systems including the S400 from Russia. It can skim over the water or any surface below 5 meters which makes it hard to detect. If all of this was not enough, Brhamos will makes an 'S' maneuver just before hitting the target just to make sure to it hits the target. Cryna will think twice before illegally touching another Filipino citizen or their property ever again. 😂😂😂

This is one of the best things that the Philippine ever made to buy Brahmos cruise supersonic missile to counter China aggressiveness in West Philippine sea and South China sea. I want to tell our Phillipines friends that India has successfully tested Brahmos missile over Pakistan and their Defence system has not detected this missile. This missile was on air for 3 minutes on pakistan territory.

All SE countries should be armed with Brahmos missiles that will make China think twice before entering their water sovereignty. Korea and India should form a aliance like Nato to cooperate and invest in military modernisation by developing weapons such as missile defence systems, war ships, submarines, Aircrafts and many more to counter chinese aggression in both south china sea and indian ocean.This way we can also end the dependency on western countries as well.

Those 3 batteries ordered +2 planned are enough since BrahMos only has 290km range while PH EEZ is 370-650km, so the next order must be able to cover that width ex: the upcoming hypersonic BrahMos II
Export version is 290 Km but IAF , IA and IN use the 500 Km range version . Three weeks ago india tested another version of brahmos with 700 Km range
India operates longer range variants of BrahMos. But they cannot be sold to Phillipines because of MTCR restrictions.
PH is not a member of MTCR so the maximum range is 290… once PH becomes member of MTCR, no limits on missile range.

CCP can only explore for oil in disputed areas guarded by its carrier strike groups. Maintaining "ownership" of SCS for fisheries alone is not economical. The guest doesn't address CCP China concerns about its maritime security. It could be just CCP is hanging on to "historic rights" mainly for security. Not bragging but recently Brahmos entered in Pakistan and it was after the blast that Pakistani military came to know that Brahmos struck them. Their radars failed and early warning systems looked a joke. And the missile went good 100+ kms inside Pakistan territory.
Fortunately for Pakistan and India, it was not loaded with ammunition. Still it damaged like 100mtrs area.
Brahmos if fired will hit the target for sure. The only way you survive it is by flying.

The AFP has to worry only about the 2 Chinese aircraft carriers. Once the Brahmos knocked them out of commission, their other combat ships will be exposed without any air cover. Mainland China is way too far for their bombers and fighters to reach the Philippine territory and it would make it more manageable for the AFP to defend the country. We need more Brahmos and maybe some Exocets to fill the gap.

Thats one of my misgivings regarding this network. They support measures that are not pragmatic. Siningit pa nga niya na ang brahmos anti ship missile is baka gamitin sa mga NPA. It has developed strategies for local adversaries who wage an asymmetrical war. The latest purchase is a good move but what is lacking is a clear strategy that comes from the top. The BrahMos purchase is literally just a small part of the AFP's Integrated Missile Defense System program, which is itself a part of the broader Active Archipelagic Defense Strategy that the AFP has been seeking to implement.

International system need to be reformed to counter muscle flexing countries.
If countries won't sell 650+km range cruise missiles to PH, then buy more aircraft to carry cruise missiles, but aircraft can be neutralized by damaging airbases & runways, so aircraft that can takeoff & land on short unprepared runways & don't always need proper airbases must be chosen such as Gripen, modified C-130 or similar, & upcoming jet fighter models. But F-16 needs a proper airbase & runways that are long & well-conditioned, so choosing F-16 is unwise unless only refurbished ones for temporary use (say only 10 yrs)

Philippines should consider opting for SMART missile of India. This SMART missile can target submarine away from 690km. I don't know yet that india is able to reduce its range approx 300 km as per guidelines of MTCR because it will need new base system for torpedo. But it can help Phillipines to prevent Chinese subs to come near its borders.
