Well damn. I always thought they must of been good friends that planned it. Damon is a real good sport to pick up and run with the gag. Been one of the funniest ongoing gags on tv that I can remember.
I love “the feud”. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, especially as they’re both in on it and sell it so perfectly you can’t help but laugh. I’d argue it gave birth to the “celebrity feud” fad that several actors and comedians have “taken on” over the years, for example Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds or The Rock and Kevin Hart. All funny, all in good humour and I’m here for it

The great thing is Kimmel needed to make this gag, and Damon took it on and ran with it. What a piece of luck for Kimmel. Crowe did that excellent with John Oliver ending up with the now famous "John Oliver Koala Chlamydia Ward". Perfect!

Leno reminds of the Wayne Brady sketch on the Chappelle Show, where he seems like such a loveable, mild mannered guy, but is a throat slashing thug in real life.
That might just be the Tonight Show producers. I remember hearing that the same thing was happening with Fallon, at the beginning when he was way ahead in the ratings. (Not saying Leno is a good guy, but he might not be the mastermind behind that particular move.)

Kimmel was able to turn a negative into a positive about not being able to get guests. While Leno relied on lame played out humor.
