On the one hand he's about as high casualty as the old guard incompetents that Reinhardt's clique were meant to replace, on the other he came the cloaest to killing Yang of any Imperial admiral.

The only times his fleet suffers high casualties when he go up against Yang. But then again so do many other Reinhard's admirals when facing against Yang. The be fair, Bittenfeld survives every single time and Yang can't really able to get rid of him either.
