- I absolutely feel called to do what I do. But greater than being called to be a singer, I am called to go out and make disciples. I am quite grateful that one of the ways I can do that is by sharing my music with others.

Yes, I definitely agree that we should look for and notice our gifts first. Gifts are things that come to you naturally with ease and with little effort (and helps you find the greatest joy when you're doing them). And then explore professions that best allow us to use those gifts to glorify God. Excellent word, keep doing videos!

I agree 1000% preaching the Gospel and making disciples is our 1st job. I am a truck driver of 2 decades. and I'm transitioning to a full-time pastor discipleship is under way. GOD bless you

And I have been through depression an Anxiety and music is what helped me through
I've always loved singing and I loveeee to inspire people and I know that singing is the way that I am able to get through some things in life and I have wanted to be a Christian singer for years (although I'm only 13) and I just feel like that's a way I can be able to make a big difference in a lot of people's life's and show Gods love to others, I have started writing songs and is it good to start at young age like maybe posting videos on TH-cam?
Your story is very interesting to me because I went though a similar thing, God used music to help me through a rough time in my life where I was depressed and alone. Now I play guitar and lead worship at my church. After taking some free college courses online I'm now work on producing a independent ccm album. Yes music is my passion and if God is willing I'm going to do the singer/songwriter thing. but if not that I'll probably go into music production. : )

Jamie, you have given me a great idea/plan/thingy! My entire life I've loved to talk, and tell stories. Put me in a conversation, and I can pull random facts up about the topic. I am literally always talking! I haven't thought about it until now, but I also love to speak, and read, in front of other people. I'm still a kid in school, but public speaking or something similar might be something I'm interested in! I REALLY love to speak, and am so glad I have a voice. If I didn't I don't know what I would do. You probably won't be able to see this mini-speech, but thank you for bringing this idea to light. (You can probably already tell I love to speak, and write speeches) ❤😜
I think my calling is music and pastoring. (Im only 12)
You can do it! Im just 15 and God has placed a similar calling on my life too!! The way God has developed me in using my ability to speak the gospel to others is through TH-cam! I have a TH-cam channel where I talk about the Bible and I call them Bible Talks! I think the best way you can grow in those areas is practicing your music daily and reading the bible daily! Ive been blessed with the opportunity to sing in front of a crowd and teach/speak at an event recently thanks to the lord and His strength, guidance, and peace! One other thing is if you don't already attend church, find one and attend! Fellowship which just means being around people who are living a God first life is key to you growing closer to God in your walk with Him and finding people who you can trust and who encourage you in your walk with God! If your not attending a church I suggest praying to God and asking Him for guidance to where He would like you to go to church at! You are a light in this world and nothing is impossible with God! You may be 12 but age doesn't matter God has great words that He wants to speak through you! If you take away anything from my comment take away this "never give up, you can do all things with Christ who strengthens you" Be bold for God by speaking His word! Joshua 1:9 "This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Hope you have a great rest of the week and I hope I helped in some way! :)

This was really good to hear right now! I'm currently am between majoring in something with music (violin) and Spanish and I'm trying to figure out how I could possibly incorporate the two things I'm most passionate about.

Hey Jamie Grace. I've been watching your videos and listening to your music for a while but just recently got an account. I just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do. Your music helped me through a hard time when I nearly walked away from God. You have no idea how much I look forward to watching your videos each week. They always inspire me and make me laugh which is great. Please pray for my brother. He's been recovering from a suicide attempt. Bye.
kind of late on the video, lol just kidding, but I'm a singer songwriter, I'm currently learning piano by ear and I want to have my own business. hopefully my CD will be out in June. I pray that this music ministry will be a blessing to others and that Jesus Christ will be lifted up. I hope I will see you soon. you never know, we might could do a calaboration!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know as long as your practicing and whole heartedly singing praises to God whether in front of thousands or just by yourself then your fulfilling the God given purpose of worshiping Him and taking hold of the amazing opportunity of praising Him! I suggest if you haven't already, ask God for opportunities and for the patience to wait and work hard until those opportunities come! Im a singer too and God has blessed me with the amazing opportunity to sing the national anthem in front of over 5,000 people and sing "trust in you" by Lauren Daigle at a recent event! Ive been working on music for a few years now and what Ive come to realize is that God prepares us and its part of His great plan for our lives! The preparing time varies but in the end its worth it! Hope you have a great rest of the week and I hope I helped! :)

I love this! I’m a musician also. My main instrument is the trumpet, and I can also play piano and guitar. I’m also starting out as a composer. I believe that music can touch and comfort people in a way that not many other things can. I want the music I play and write to give people hope and help them realize that there’s someone who loves them more than they can ever imagine. I want people to hear my music, realize that I have hope and peace, and come to a point where they want that too.
Can you please pray for me and my best friend?
I have a problem with forgiving my friend when he hurts me, and he never asks for forgiveness either.
Also, he thinks that simply believing in God is all he needs to do to go to heaven, and it's not. Every time I tell him about Jesus, he brushes it off.
I need help being strong and passionate in God.

I'd also like to add, if you don't know what your passion(s) are, start trying new things. Who knows! You might be amazing and gifted at drawing or solving rubik's cubes! And don't give up! Even if the first few times you fail, it doesn't mean you can't be amazing at it!

I do want to be a Christian singer/songwriter. But I'm discouraged. I don't feel like I have what it takes even though it's my passion and what I feel called to do. I've written three songs, one I don't like and that was a lot more secular, the other two are worship songs but here's the discouraging thing number one. I can't play an instrument. The circumstances have never been right for me to learn either, because of financial and time issues. So they don't have any accompaniment at all. A friend offered to write some for me but then I blew up at one of her best friends because she was being mean to me and many of my friends and she's incredibly disappointed in me and I don't know that things will ever be ok again. I regret the blowing up but the words needed to be said, just nicer and gentler. The second discouraging thing is I can't just sit down and write a song because a, my brain doesn't work like that and b, I don't play an instrument to pick out an idea or know enough (con.)
music theory to be able to just write it note by note so I have to wait for a melody and lyrics to appear in my head and build around it. The last discouraging thing is my parents act all the time like it's not realistic for me to want to sing professionally. They keep telling me I need to find other interests. Even today my mom said, "you should into some of those [engineering] camps, what are you going to do for a living, sing in a choir?" It's because of them and various other people saying similar things that I don't know if I could do it, whether it's my calling or not, even if I knew where to begin.
