A widely unknown fact about the punch dimension can be derived from the premises of the butterfly effect. Wherein the fibers used in a classic red Everlast speed bag have the exact resonance frequency of the universe of Punch. Therefore the energy created every time a red Everlast speed bag is struck this power is transported to another dimension whereas only a few have the special mutation in which to access the portal into the punch dimension to draw from that energy. Oddly enough due to an anomaly in the light spectrum, the red from the speed bag is also transmitted making those who call upon the power of the punch dimension will emit a red beam or ray. Hope this helps clear up any confusion of the punch dimension, although I must say, the thing with the Kool aid man was a good hypothesis.
The problem is that Deadpool wears a mask, which disconnects Ryan's voice from the body somewhat. The effect this has is that any time you hear Ryan over ADR it sounds like Deadpool because we're used to hearing Deadpool without seeing lips moving, so him attempting to do voiceover work for animation like Detective Pikachu, you can't help but hear Deadpool. Also his inflections are very similar because he tends to play every character with a trademark sarcastic over excitement and enthusiasm.
The problem I have with many Hollywood actors is they end up playing the same roles, but with a different name. Ryan Reynolds feels the same, and it doesn’t help he sounds the same too. I can understand wanting his input on a movie, but he doesn’t need to be the main star every time.
30:20 Hey, guy in 2023 here! They did actually make a show about Rob and Ryan buying that Welsh soccer team... turns out, it was a HUGE hit and now there's a ton of American fans of Wrexham FC like me!
majority of Deadpool comics are kida insular and small scale. even a couple of heavy action ones end up with a lot of scaled back moments. it makes the vast and amorphous nature of the comic medium less overwhelming. Comicstorian is an excellent reenactment channel; incidentally, their Deadpool T-Rex episode is hysterical.
just recently stumbled upon this show and listened to a bunch of episodes from the backlog over the last week and have been very much enjoying it so far. now the reason why I'm commenting on a 2 year old video and not of a newer one: as a huge comics nerd myself, I am genuinely dumbfounded that apparently some people in the comments were so adamant and serious about cyclops's eyeblasts and "the punch dimension", considering 1. it's an adaptation and the makers could've just changed the nature of his eyebeams, and more importantly 2. even calling it "the punch dimension" has *always* been a (imo obvious) joke, one that is most frequently spun off into the phrase "punches from the punch dimension". I've seen fan drawings of cyke shooting big red punchy fists out of his eyes captioned with that phrase. the stupidity is the point, that's what makes it a hilarious joke, especially since it's not canon anymore. leave it to comic fans to not have even an iota of media literacy and miss an obvious joke. good on y'all for dunking on them, I'll keep listening.
Loved Blade back in their day. I fail to see why its important for their viewer to know its a comic book adaptation. Just because it's had a more grin tone to it(90s thing I guess) . I like to think it was ahead of its time. Love the show, I work in Vfx myself, also love Deadpool as much as the next man
@@randombrokeperson my best guess is that we'll get the first X-Men saga was a Shit Show for Deadpool & Wolverine's release, and then for Superman 2025 we'll get a run down of Superman movies after Superman IV up until Man Of Steel.
Personally I loved Venom and Venom 2 but not because they're good movies but because the script was so bad it felt like a "so bad it's good" B movie but with a dramatically larger budget. They're really unique in that respect imo. Venom 2 especially since it leans into it a bit and writes Venom and Eddie like a bickering couple for most of the movie.
I use to think I was a failure in life and that I was hopeless… Then I learned about people who obsess over the punch dimension. I think I am alright now.
As you pointed out towards the end, Ryan Reynolds has always done the Deadpool thing, even before he was in the Deadpool movies. So with Detective Pikachu I'm just thinking "that's Ryan Reynolds" not "that's Deadpool".
