No your most definitely not son of my grandfather. There is one left out and that is Catos who is in the end the main one that lived as king David and married Bathsheba who is Gaia. Solomon the true son of man..

      According to Greek mythology :
▪︎ Deimos (along with his twin, Phobos) is son of Ares and Aphrodite
▪︎ Cratus (a.k.a. Kratos) is the son of Pallas and Styx.
      ....
According to DC's ''New 52" (in 2011, retcon origin):
▪︎ ''Wonder Woman'' is the daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus.

Somehow, the family tree of Greek mythology always leads back to Zeus! Planning to do family tree for Norse, Egyptian, Canaanite and Mesopotamian mythology?

Seeing how Zeus didn't want to marry Hera in the first place, I can't blame him sand seeing Hera and how she acts most of the time. Then, I see both of just being married for the sake of the children (and in other ways).

@@Megafreakx3 actually Zeus is the wrong one because Hera didn't want to marry Zeus because she saw what a horrible man he was. Zeus basically manipulated Hera and rape her forcing her to be his Wife. And she can't get out of the marriage because she is the God of marriage

3:25 Metis was the daughter of Oceanus, who was Zeus’ uncle meaning Athena is not only his daughter but his second cousin.
3:59 Themis being his aunt means that the Horae are his daughters and his cousins. Let’s continue…
4:34 Eurynome was also his cousin menaing once again his children were also his second cousins.
5:13 Once again, his daughters also being his cousins.
6:24 Persephone: his son and niece.
    This is hurting my brain

Perhaps no incest is meant between immortal Gods.
After all, the mortal Cain also married his sister Awan, and they gave birth to Enoch.

25:58 While Zeus' family tree in this video is really intriguing, I just wanted to share something about some other version of the birth of Helen of Troy (specifically the Cypria/Epic Cycle, mostly) besides the famous "Leda and The Swan" version that interests me until now because it gave some new perspectives about the events of the Trojan War. While I had read that Zeus feared Nyx because of her nature and power, as observed in that Hypnos incident, he somehow had (trigger warning) raped one of her daughters. That daughter was the goddess of retribution, Nemesis, whom he raped as a swan while she is disguised as a goose after a long chase throughout Greece. She laid an egg that contained Helen after that and then somehow transferred to Leda who will eventually raise her. With this version in mind, it can be interpreted that the Trojan War is some kind of a magnum opus revenge plan against the King of Olympus from a violated daughter of Nyx.

The mother of Athena, Μῆτις = Mῆtis =Metis ,from verb Mητιάω means to meditate.
So when the mighty Zeus "ate" Metis, he began to meditate on the fate of powerless humans, so he decided to associate with mortal women to be born demigods. His daughter ,Athena , who inherited the characteristics of both her parents, helped her father's hero-demigods-sons and other mortal heroes.

7:59 Actually Zeus rapped Hera after she fell asleep and after that, Hera felt embarrassed so she married Zeus because he promised her if she married him, he would say that embarrassing thing to other gods. I don't know how true is this. But I am using this version of my Greek mythology book as a big plot twist (Hera has a Half-blood child with a mortal being. But she mixed Ichor (God's blood) with the blood of that man and then she burned some kind of feather above the texture and it became an egg and 9 months later a demigod was born (main character)

According to Homer (and various others) Aphrodite was also a daughter of Zeus by the Titaness Dione... 🕊️
Which honestly makes ALOT more sense to me, since ALL the second generation Olympians seem to be his offspring. (Athena, Persephone, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Dionysus etc...)
So yeah, it makes more sense that she's also one of his children instead of having randomly been born from the sea and being a whole generation older than the 1st generation of Olympians.

She is in on variation of the myths. Personally I like it better when she's the daughter of Ouranos

Well, it would make some sense since Zeus and his siblings were offsprings of Cronos, the King of the Titans, you can say. Such a line of Succession but with the first born's offsprings than just the first born alone.

Yes! That's how I view it... Just seems a bit odd (to me anyway) to class her as Zeus's "Auntie" instead as His daughter. 🤗
As his "Daughter" she fits in way better into the whole succession thing, without being the odd one out at family game night...

OMW! 🙄 it's become some kinda trend for modern media (comic/books, films, games etc...) to mess up/adjust/alter/rewrite/ change/screw with the canon of ancient Mythologies... 🤦🏻‍♀️
