小口切り落とし、立てかけて乾燥、そして皮むき、日光にさらす、知らない事がたくさんあり、家にある北山杉はそこまで手を掛けた物じゃ無い、木の肌にツヤが無いから、やはり良い物は良い!

うちの近所の山は、逆に土がいいから杉の成長が早い代わりに、中がスカスカで質があまりよくないと、近所に住むおじいさんに聞いたのを思い出した

山で立て掛けたまま自然乾燥させるのは理にかなってますね🤔 運搬時の重量も抜けた水の分だけ軽くできる。昔の山岳集落では、製材まで山の中で行っていたらしい🤔
現代日本では麓の車寄せしやすい山林のみかろうじて利用され、山頂部などアクセスの悪い山林は放置。割安な輸入材木を『コスパが良い』として使われているとか。
