Did anyone else get tears in their eyes when Laura said "Planting fills me up?" Boy, I sure did. Watching things grow is such a special joy for me. Watching her children grow too. Thank you for providing such joy in my life, Laura! I look forward to each and every video/time with you and your family.
Anyone else feel like Laura’s innate positivity and unending energy provides this community with daily ripples of joy? This channel is amazing-it provides fabulous ideas, instruction, and creativity in an engaging and personal way. Thank you, Laura (and Aaron), for sharing your lovely world with us.
That was so adorable and authentic, he has an eye for beauty !!! I notice he pays attention to every detail of what she is doing and is mimicking her. I can't wait to see what he will do as he gets older !!! His mind will run wild with ideas, as I'm sure is already happening for him !!! 🥰🤩🥳
Laura the Plant Whisperer. Thanks Laura, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha Grace and cats/hens/employees for inviting GA fans into your life. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
When I see the dirt piles and all that space, I can't help but think of a really cool bike trail with all different sizes of hills to ride up and down on for the kids especially for when they get older. Imagine having that in your yard
I recently moved to southern Ontario after living on the west coast for the last 14+ years….I forgot how much earlier it gets cold in Ontario. Every other day is different as we enter into winter. I planted my bulbs in a panic last week on a random day where it didn’t freeze. Todays video made me feel I was still out west, thank you! 🎄
We had a foot of snow fall Sunday night into Monday, so our gardening season is well and truly over. You were lucky you were able to plant bulbs last week. Our bulbs must go in late October to early November. I’m so envious of Laura’s location, imagine being able to plant at Novembers end! Hope you have lots of new garden adventures! Merry Christmas from south eastern Quebec🎄
Do you ever pick up Douglas and just give him a big hug? He's just so thirsty for affection! Was I seeing things or do the lights on the swag over the doors alternate from side to side? Such a beautiful day today planting yews then working with your volunteer helper, Benjamin, on decorating the house! And Cheddar and Russell showed up as well. So delightful! Wish I could be there to help out!
Always a pleasure to see you planting! I love the YEW! In my furniture industry, it is the most expensive wood to buy as a piece of furniture because the plants grow so small.....but the most Classic and Refined of all the woods used! --- Your gardening profession is so Blessed by GOD.................................. HE said: Genesis 2:15 New King James Version 15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
"so I can sit back and relax" tee hee. I can NOT even imagine! I would like to see a video of that. You are such a hard worker and I am sure your project list is LONG all year. LOVE watching you button things up. You are such and inspiration to us all.
Your Christmas decorations are always so pretty! I'm with you on donating anything unused--this year I simplified my decorating and donated a ton of Christmas ornaments and decorations. Let someone else enjoy them ❤
I just love watching Benjamin help you!! Those memories last a lifetime!! Do you or Aaron ever pinch yourselves when you awaken in the morning!? Like is this really my life!? Yall do soooo much and always seem so happy and it's just awesome to be a part of!! Love you guys and yalls channel!! Happy Holidays!! ❤
Beautiful! The yews look very nice and I love the simple decor with greens and lights. Very classy. I believe Benjamin will be a gardener, too. He loves to help out. I think Douglas is your new second shadow now..lol. 😺
Your joy just spills over to all of us each morning. Thank you. On another note, I fully expected you to run right out and buy enough plants for the other side. It would really embrace both areas so much.
So nice to see Russell & Douglas meeting w/ common ground (Laura & Benjamin)! I can't get over how quick it goes from Thanksgiving into Christmas mode... I really enjoy the less is more classic approach you have this year!
❤ Laura and Aaron, I love how you are incorporating the kids. Benjamin is doing awesome. 👍 I am a mom of an 18 and 23 year old. My husband used to shake his head at me at how long it took to decorate. Now they can decorate without me! 😂 or as a team we can get it done quickly here in Michigan when it's cold like this year! He doesn't shake hus head anymore! 😂 Thank you for sharing
Laura, I love the way you decorated this year. It is such a peaceful way to go. With just enough pop of color to remind us of holly or red apples. Makes me think of clean crisp air and the smell of evergreens. Benjamin, you are a joy!
I love how Benjamin is always so helpful, and he is so compassionate towards helping, and family. Thank you for sharing, I love the decorations and the planting. I get so much good information from y'alls tutorials.
Good morning Laura and Aaron! It looks wonderful, and I love that Benjamin was out there being a great helper and sp proud of his efforts. That really warms my heart. Hugs from N.C..❤
I’m in New Zealand so I wake up to a new video from you ! Your gorgeous garden and your cheerful demeanour start my day off beautifully THANKYOU and I love you see the children and the cats as well ! HAPPY GARDENING !
You are an incredible inspiration to me and your home and YARDS are always beautiful. It’s a joy to watch and learn from you. Thanks for all the lessons. Benjamin is such a great helper. Blessings to you💖💖
Benjamin is getting to be quite the young man he is so helpful. Both of them are so cute and helpful and growing up so fast. Great job and God bless u and urs.
Your home takes to Christmas decor beautifully!! Classic Christmas vibe! Loved seeing Benjamin helping mom-such a sweet boy. The shrubs are perfect along the walkway😊❤
Christmas decorations are looking so pretty. I enjoy the simpleness of the garland with lights and bows. Benjamin swapping out the pillows was cute. He is always the helper. He will be the one to take over Amdrew's Garden Center.
Don't forget when you level an area you're changing the water drainage (I know you guys don't get much rain, but you do periodically get large accumulations of snow). A flat yard sounds ideal but it causes drainage problems. You need to maintain a gentle slope toward the ditch.
The yew and that space is going to be gorgeous!! The juxtaposition of the burgundy oak leaf hydrangeas against the dark green of the yew… Looking forward to see what else you do with the space.
The line of yews look really pretty. I’m glad Aaron brought up the idea of planting large items toward the back because that’s what we’re always told. Your explanation made sense, though. Now I can see beds from a different view. Thanks!
The years I have been watching and today was my most favorite…the pizza boxes outside the door. Thank you for keeping it real! It really does make what you do seem doable when you show the “real”stuff.
Hi Laura! The yews look good there. I'm glad you chose not to go with another boxwood hedge. The garlands, bows and lights look pretty. It's always fun watching Benjamin helping. Thank you so much for sharing!
Somewhere in your videos where you put the new benches at four points by your cut flower garden I would put flagstone around those benches to match the pathways and in the middle a star shaped flagstone medallion with an inground fountain for water sound. You can put black window screen over the top but recessed to keep debris out and birds from drowning. This way when someone sits on the benches with their small cooler they have a place to put it.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Love all your decorating Laura. Elegant yet simple! You have given me such inspiration for gardening and decorating! Wishing you and your adorable family a wonderful Holiday! 🎄🎁
Gosh I love all your fall and Christmas decor. Please please would you share your wreath making and other holiday decor? So fun to watch & I always learn so much.
🤔 💡 Whenever I have a lot of stuff in totes, I print a photo of what’s inside and stick it on the end! I used to make labels, but pics are SO much better! Just tape a 3-ring or scrapbook divided photo sleeve on the tote, print pics of individual items, and slide them in the photo sleeves. Makes it EASY to know what’s inside, and EASY to modify as you change the contents. And if you’re a true glutton for organizing like I am (Martha Stewart, anyone?😂) you can number the totes and keep a spreadsheet, too! Did you know you can insert those same pics in a cell? teehee I don’t have as many decorations as you, but all my fabric, yarn and art supplies are stored just like this and it makes me really happy! 😉 We’re selling our house this spring so all our decorations have been given to friends or donated, so grateful to enjoy all the beauty of yours!! ❤
Have you thought of using some type of finial on your water hose post? Maybe a solar lamp or make a winter flower basket that would fit over the post until spring returns and you bring the hose back out. Something to cover the look of the pipe sticking up.
When I lived in PA everyone had yews all over their yards. I loved their new growth in the spring. Such a pretty bright green. I also learned to love the crocus while in PA-first sign that someday it would be warm again and the snow would leave. I moved there from my hometown in Louisiana- I never got used to the very long cold winters. In fact if I never see another snowflake-I’m good!
1:43 miss Laura I just checked our new zone rating for 2023. I’m in upstate New York. We had been a zone 4B. They have currently changed us to a 5A. I will believe that when it no longer gets below -25 throughout the winter. Here’s keeping our fingers crossed.🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 5:27 can I just mention that the stone pathways have brought so much to your garden. They are absolutely gorgeous. I hope to have something like that in mine someday.
I tell myself every year to cut back on Christmas decorations. Well this year I did. I went through my years of decorations and donated a bunch that made me feel good. When you get to be a bit older it takes a little longer to complete the decorating plan so now that I don't have as much to do I have more time to relax and enjoy!
Great additions plant wise and Christmas decorations!❣️ Love your little helper too. So sweet that he wants yo help and takes interest!💙 I know you will enjoy all your Christmas decoration!❣️🎄
In your large bed around the large cedar you could plant a weeping pear tree Pyrus sal Repens it’s a beautiful weeping ornamental pear tree and the silver / green leaves it’s a beautiful tree 😊😊
Even in Michigan, I was able to plant a PW Fairytrail Bride hydrangea a couple weeks ago! The weather has been so different lately. But, my front porch pots froze so I had to pour hot water in them(thanks Laura for that hint ) to get the fall plants out lol. You pass on so many useful tips 😊
Me & my hubby watch you every day & enjoy so much. We do have an ongoing discussion when you plant stuff if you are pushing on shovel with tennis shoes? If so do your feet get really sore? I keep telling him they are surely special soles for gardening😮
Laura ur positive energy is contagious. I love watching your videos.😊😊 Question...how did Douglas come into your lives? He is so handsome. Additude & all. 😊❤
Wonderful job..❤ You have inspired me to finish my Foresting for all of our big planters. Hubby is taking me through the woodlands this weekend on the quad to get the rest of the tree and berry supplies to make some Beautiful Winter pots ..
Been listening to a lot of Agatha Christie on my phone and there are a lot of yews in her stories and along comes Laura planting them! Wish I could accomplish as much as you do in a day.

❤😂

Laura the Plant Whisperer. Thanks Laura, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha Grace and cats/hens/employees for inviting GA fans into your life. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I always think your balcony makes your home look like the White House. It looks so elegant with the tree up there this year!
It does! I hadn’t thought of that before!
Yes! If so, our gov't sure would run so smooth.
@@SisterShirley😂 and they would give a better image of USA than a senile president….😬😂
Benjamin running out to help you was such a treat. It was a cute surprise.
When I see the dirt piles and all that space, I can't help but think of a really cool bike trail with all different sizes of hills to ride up and down on for the kids especially for when they get older. Imagine having that in your yard
Yes made me think of when I was young. On the back of my brothers dirt bike. Going over jumps. Scary, but I didn’t die, so fun!
Laura has talked about clearing them and leveling out the area.

Everything Laura touches turns into a beautiful masterpiece!
Do you ever pick up Douglas and just give him a big hug? He's just so thirsty for affection!

Benjamin is such a happy worker…..it’s fun watching him grow up and assist you….everything looks marvelous ❤
Sooo funny…..I tore out that many yews last year next to my front deck. So glad they’re gone!

Love the informal hedge of yews. I must say that I'm so jealous of the ease of digging holes in your soil!
🐈 good to see the cats supervising the garland and decor installation 😺

Greens with lights and red bows- so elegant and festive. Love the yews too. Your enthusiasm is infectious!❤️💚
Beautiful! I've found green plastic zip ties work well with banisters and don't scratch.
Im with Laura, nothing better in life than planting and a bonus when it stays so mild you can carry in late into the season.
I’m in New Zealand so I wake up to a new video from you ! Your gorgeous garden and your cheerful demeanour start my day off beautifully THANKYOU and I love you see the children and the cats as well ! HAPPY GARDENING !

Love the yews, it kind of anchors that sidewalk. Decorations look great .... thanks to your little helper!❤ Blessings 🙏💞💞
Don't forget when you level an area you're changing the water drainage (I know you guys don't get much rain, but you do periodically get large accumulations of snow). A flat yard sounds ideal but it causes drainage problems. You need to maintain a gentle slope toward the ditch.
The greenery and red bows is lovely on the white house.
It will be fun to watch the yews grow and fill in.
❤ from Canada 🇨🇦
Ditto the comments about "Whoa, whoa, whoa, ... about the fake snow" ❤❤
Love his expressive nature.
The yew and that space is going to be gorgeous!! The juxtaposition of the burgundy oak leaf hydrangeas against the dark green of the yew… Looking forward to see what else you do with the space.
Laura, your enthusiasm for life is so positive and motivating! You are a gift for all of us. xoxo

I can’t believe you’re still planting . Your Christmas decor outside looks awesome . ❤
As always, thanks for the inspiration, Laura! Enjoy your day.
Not only add the outlet, but put it on a switch so you can easily turn things on and off😊

Keeping it real. I love it! Clean up life happening before you can decorate the area. That’s how we live

50°F here this morning and b-r-r❄️🥶❄️ for us!
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍

Thanks! I'm here in Michigan and would welcome some 50 degree weather!!! Stay warm down there!!!
Laura ur positive energy is contagious. I love watching your videos.😊😊
Question...how did Douglas come into your lives? He is so handsome. Additude & all. 😊❤
We keep a corner of native plants for the birds. They go into it in winter. I think it keeps them warm. Plus seeds from plants.
I see you stepping it off, and I do the same thing 😊
You did a fabulous job Laura, all your decorations look beautiful! And I love the yews you planted. Have a wonderful day🥰
Love the way you decorated the property this year. Planting amazing at this time of year.
Wonderful job..❤ You have inspired me to finish my Foresting for all of our big planters. Hubby is taking me through the woodlands this weekend on the quad to get the rest of the tree and berry supplies to make some Beautiful Winter pots ..
You should be able to run an outlet from your wall light on the right side of your door.
So beautiful with the tree on the balcony! We absolutely love it.
Been listening to a lot of Agatha Christie on my phone and there are a lot of yews in her stories and along comes Laura planting them! Wish I could accomplish as much as you do in a day.
I love your enthusiasm and the joy you get from all your projects. You inspire me to get my hands dirty. Your video's start my day, thank you for all your hard work.
Fun projects!
I agree - donate what no longer suits your needs! It’s a great feeling!
Laura your home always looks so beautiful in the winter Christmas season. Can't get enough of your little helper.
