I absolutely agree with you, when those who are not met with justice by those in positions of power riot, it is often found that they've gone unheard for too long. MLK Junior's words show his sympathy for those who riot but please let it be known that he was never trying to justify it, just to understand their actions and hope their needs are met. He always preferred peaceful protest and civil disobedience as opposed to riots as it lowers us down to the level of our violent oppressors and lessens the public's empathy for our struggle TL;DR please don't riot but we all understand the emotion behind it.

At my school we have a group called ‘positive space’ and on the trans day of remembrance we printed of pictures of black trans women ,who are sadly no longer with us, and stuck them around the school, below those pictures we wrote about them and it was heartwarming to see students stop in the halls and mourn them. We also held a bake sale and donated all profits to charity.
We wouldn’t have pride month if it weren’t for trans women of color. We wouldn’t be where we are as a community if it weren’t for trans women of color. Happy pride month everyone :)

But I am gay and non-binary, and have scars. Physical and mental just for being myself. Family not accepting. Losing friends. Declined medical assistance. I don’t get it, we don’t chose who we love, who we are, the color of our skin, our ancestor’s doings. And yet this get placed on us, on the black community, on lgbtqia+, on so many more people. I am not religious in any way, but I know enough that this “god” is supposed to love and accept everyone. CisHet homophobic, transphobic, biophobic, not accepting of other races, should be the people who are oppressed. And yet, US, the lgbtqia+ community, the black community, and all the other people who are oppressed. WE get outlawed. WE get killed. WE get denied medical help. WE get disowned. WE get bullied. Just for being ourselves. We don’t chose to be black, we don’t chose to be white. We don’t chose to be any other race. We don’t chose who we love. We don’t chose to be born in the wrong body. We don’t chose to have no gender. We don’t chose who we are, and yet we are oppressed, killed, bullied, hurt, and all we should be is accepted.
