Bogotá Airport is a very high elevation airport, and would have required a TOGA take-off on a heavy freighter. Engines out of tolerances due to age would have resulted with exhaust gas temperatures EGT to be exceeded. Components then start to melt disturbing the gas flows resulting in engine stalls (reversed gas flow). The engine hasn’t technically failed at this stage and reducing trust may save it from further damage. Reduce payload and pax’s off take-off (no engine bleed to air con) would reduce trust requirements and prevented high EGTs. Capt A350
2:17 180t flowers is too much! The 747 isnt capable of transport this weight. The only possible thing is that 180t is the weight of freight and fuel together.
@@ivandankha1829 Thats not the point. Its a fact that this is a mistake with the weight. I didnt talk about the engines. Whole different story which has nothing to do with engines. I just wanted to tell that the weight is wrong and it has a big affect on airplane performance. So about what do you complain?
@@ivandankha1829 Ok than everything is clear. Wrong infos in the video and you should be the person who tell the story! I am just a aircraft type inspector and PPL Pilot and i was not there. But again i just wanted to correct the info nothing more. Cheers!
Kalitta Cargo has a few other in flight incidents, such as the time one of their aircraft lost an engine while in flight, which wasn't realized until the aircraft landed. The aircraft was unladen with cargo, so the aircraft even though it was four engined, was only flying on two engines to save fuel and reduced engine ware hours. It was one of the non-operated engines that fell off. I gotta believe the owner Conrad (Connie) Kalitta has spent more money on his drag racing endeavors then spending the proper amount of money on maintaining his aircraft. Do a satellite map of Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Michigan which has been deactivated by the Air Force and abandoned. It is now a private airport that is used for storage and I believe maintenance for Kalitta Cargo shows a large collection of Boeing 747 cargo aircraft. Some of the aircraft have already been scavenged for parts.
Yes this is a re-upload! the previous video had a few errors and wasnt even monetized so heres a fresh documentary.
Can you put a list of your add-ons? I would highly appreciate it 🥺
That explains why this disappeared from my favorites list.
You have to many errors in this video, that you should not show it anymore. for starters, I was in the right seat (as a co-pilot) not Frank Holly,,,,
@@ivandankha1829thanks for the explanation.
wow 0.04 inches off and that has managed to crash a whole aircraft? that's unbelievable
It's very distracting when the voiceover very often doesn't match the subtitling.
The plane didn’t bank sharply left, it just clipped trees, and crash landed into a field, and then hit the farmhouse.

Weight has nothing to do with why the engines failed

I feel like this channel’s content is waaaay too similar to TFC to just be waved off as a coincidence.
Fuel truck that fueled the plane had water in it, causing all of this, the fuel truck was later found crashed and abandoned
Not true. There was no problem with fuel.
Not true
@@ivandankha1829 i wonder what it was besides the engine stall
I wanna be like you but is it flight sim 2020 or not
