Very nice montage! This is inspiring a Headcanon idea of mine in regards to a certain deleted lion king character who happens to be the younger brother of a particular lioness..
I’m speaking of Mheetu alright, so I will share my Headcanon.
After his ‘death’. Scar and Zira would proclaim him dead and then made Sarafina and Nala head back to Pride Rock with the warning that if they do not heed his orders, the hyenas would gladly do whatever they wished to them.
And so reluctantly they left behind Mheetu’s ‘corpse’ when in reality he was so badly crippled that the pain knocked him out making poor Mheetu look like he was dead.
It was however after everyone left that young Mheetu awoke several hours later in the night with a very pained mew!
Even at this very young stage, Mheetu knew he had to leave the Pride Lands as he did not feel safe anymore!
So, he left albeit limping with so much pain on his very small fragile body..
He would manage to reach a big River only to be caught into it’s currents and would barely manage to cling onto some logs he found before the waters could throw him around underneath!
The logs would then carry a barely conscious Mheetu quite a distance away from the Pride Lands.
The logs then came upon a shore and the badly crippled Mheetu shuddered with a quiet mew before blacking out!
It was during these moments that a group of rough looking animals found the suffering cub and were quite appalled at the injuries.
The lead animal was an African elephant going by the name of Corath!
He and the rest of them each had a rough backstory that are in early stage of revealing!
So with his sharp commands, the animals took poor little Mheetu into their guardianship with the oldest living member of their group Chasina the African Civet slowly nursing him back to health.
The birds with them would flap their wings as the group would soothe the frightened unconscious cub with the words “May the Breath of Mohatu give energy to your broken soul!”
Talon, Jagger, Brielle and Valda: *all flap their wings to comfort the unconscious little Mheetu* “Let the breath of Mohatu repair his frightened soul..”
By fate, Chasina was in fact a good old friend of Simba’s Grandmother, Queen Uru.
Chasina is one of the few if not last living old friends of Uru as most had died overtime!
Corath and the others would each take turns comforting the traumatized Mheetu with telling him things about the Circle of Life that the royal family never knew.
And then many seasons and years would pass, the rough animals now revealed to be vigilantes would help a growing Mheetu to brave the wilds by bringing ‘solemn justice’ on lawbreakers and saving other animals along with perhaps even indigenous human beings who clearly know of Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Sarafina and Nala!
It was in this time that the now fully grown Mheetu sported a brown mane but shared his sister’s blue eyes and her light cream fur!
Alvis and Armina who are two gruff but warm Burchell’s Zebras would act as Mheetu’s counselors.
The others who are Alessia the Aardvark, Ewan the Chimpanzee, Albern the Egyptian Tomb Bat, Sigmund the African Wild Dog, Reinhold the African Buffalo, Gunhild the Bushbuck, Calian the Aardwolf, Andro the White Rhinoceros, Brielle the African Cuckoo Hawk, Valda the Crowned Eagle, Reider the Blue Wildebeest, Tyson the Greater Kudu, Jagger the Verreaux’s Eagle, Talon the Bat Hawk, Dagger the Gemsbok, Ijk the Mountain Gorilla and Alexander the Impala would also hold an appointment meeting where Corath would pronounce Mheetu as their Special Forces Leader leading to jubilant congratulations while the said lion felt happy for the first time in ages..
Mheetu would lead his vigilante Guardians in saving many more animals and indigenous humans on top of bringing justice to wrongdoers.
It was during these ventures that Mheetu slowly began to run into his older sister’s friends who too now were adults.
The first one he ran into was.. Tojo who turned around to greet the brown maned lion with curiosity only to freeze when he looked at him.. the eyes, the fur..those visible crippled injuries.. no it cannot be..
“Mheetu? By Great Kings you’re Alive!” I imagine he would say with shell shock.
After the shock wore off, Mheetu would introduce Tojo to his vigilante Guardians though he would recognize Chasina as one of Uru’s few living friends still alive!
Malka, Chumvi, Tama and Kula would all share Togo’s shell shock upon recognizing the lion as Mheetu, a lion proclaimed dead by Scar!
Along with this headcanon of mine about Mheetu, he would also have scavenger allies who would make Acquaintances with a then exiled Kovu, and then Mheetu had them speak directly to his niece!
It would at time sometime after the number ‘Love will find a way’ they Kiara got a good look of her long thought dead uncle.. and would get to make good allies with his guardians..
“Kiara, this is your uncle!” Corath the elephant would gently say.
From there Kiara would spend sometime with her uncle.
Kovu would also get to know Mheetu and his guardians! Even chatting with them with Chasina the African Civet giving him great insight on life purposes..
Kovu would befriend many groups of exiles who just happened to be descendants of the great Mohatu’s allies! Yero informed Kovu and Kiara that they plan on reforming the fighting force; a force of warriors not seen since the days of the first king!
After the group parted ways knowing what comes next, Kovu and Kiara are given a short but strong speech from Mheetu..
“Do it for the sake of Mufasa, you Two! Kiara, my niece; make your uncle proud! I see light and wisdom in you! bring my brother in law to his senses! Mufasa will always count on you and so will I! Kovu and Kiara, bring peace to the Pride Lands!” With this speech and now filled with encouragement Kovu and Kiara would set off and the rest would occur for the two lions (going along with the rest of the plot of Simba’s Pride), with Mheetu and the vigilante animals watching proudly but he held the most pride for his niece with him saying this..
“Bring back peace to the Pride Lands, my precious Niece! I Know you can do it, I have my path and so does yours!”
Just as Mheetu would say that, an elderly ally of his by the name of Negus.. approached!
Negus is an elderly male Ethiopian wolf and the leader of his pack.. and was just one of the many leaders and dignitaries from beyond the Pride Lands who attended Simba’s birth ceremony!
“You’re royal niece must be really something, my friend! I see her future to be a great queen who brings forth a golden age no one has seen in ages”
A thought and a brief flashback to his late good friend, the great queen Uru came to Negus’s mind as did Chasina’s!
Negus the Ethiopian wolf: “Which reminds me, Kiara is really taking after her great grandmother’s wisdom!”
Chasina the African Civet: *smiles* “Indeed she is, Uru was more then just a queen; she was a friend our friend; there’s so few of us from the days of Ahadi who are acquaintances!”
That is where Mheetu and his vigilante Guardians would nod in here solemn agreement; Ahadi, Uru and most of their friends had died overtime;
The very few living friends of Uru were now down to Chasina the African Civet, Negus the Ethiopian Wolf, Yero the Leopard and a few others!
Yero would add his voice in as he and his group of exiles would come to join the conversation!
Yero the Leopard: “in my great old age, I’ve never felt anymore ancient since we all know that Simba will pass one day…”
Then a group of animals who a then exiled Kovu just met, got to know and befriend arrived to meet with Mheetu, his vigilante guardians and the Ethiopian Wolf pack!
They are known as The Scavenging Exiles, they had just met and got to know Kovu in a more proper light!
Their leader is an elderly leopard who was a young adult during the reign of Simba’s Grandfather; he lost both of his parents to a psychotic hyena matriarch who was also clearly feared and hated by her own clan!
His name is Yero! And he was once Simba’s Grandfather’s Chief Diplomat!
As a very elderly leopard, he is referred to as the “Prince of Exiles” and his humble-charismatic wisdom earned him much respect from all his fellow exiles!
And each late evening Kovu and Kiara would quietly visit the groups, this would go unnoticed until Rafiki, Simba and Nala realized where they were sneaking off to meet!
Simba would gently but firmly ask them who they were constantly meeting and if they are trustworthy!
And so they took Rafiki and the rulers to the groups only for a very heartwarming reunion to occur, Rafiki would recognize Yero as Ahadi’s former chief diplomat!
Nala would personally speak and thank Her long lost little brother’s guardians!
During one of times before the personal reunion between Pride Lands Royal family and Mheetu.. the latter second had hired a female Majodomo who in every sense was like Zazu but with subtle knowledge on the Pride Lands laws and day to day rule plus the culture of local living exile animals along with native tribes humans!
One time, she passed out due to an amusing request by Mheetu and even much of his guardians! To Hold a tower of animals from *beneath* a rhino and that all animals; Gazelles, Hippos, Giraffes, Okapis, Aardvarks, Anteaters, Hyenas, Chimpanzees and an Ostrich with a trio of toddler wolves (their families didn’t mind as long as Mheetu’s bird caretakers took them down to safety after all is done) while he made a proud speech highly reminiscent of his older sister and brother in law’s silly number but was about himself being the one spreading “African Extravaganza” across the Savanna Serengeti.
And that was exactly what happened…
The little three wolves at the top, we’re having the most time of their lives! Feeling what their admired heroes felt like as little Cubs!
the lead little wolf managed to peer down from such a height of a tower of animals just to raspberry at the poor female Hornbill!
The same tower before was directed to go left and right in a fast sporting game with the hornbill by Mheetu!
The wolves would then put their small pups on many ostriches and they would go running… with one Wolf parent proclaiming “This is Just like Simba’s childhood!”
“Please I cannot hold this tower forever!” Begged the female Hornbill..
“Keep on doing it, Friend! You will see why I couldn’t wait to Be Leader of this Band of Animals!” Proclaimed Mheetu merrily…
“I can see why it is, now! Zila, Mheetu simply Just Couldn’t Wait to be Leader!” Chuckles Chasina the African Civet!
“Indeed! He Just Couldn’t Wait to be Leader!” boomed the other animals including the three little wolves!
“And as brother to Nala, I say this on the bottom of my soul, May the Extravaganza BEGIN!” Mheetu bellowed!
All animals including even Mheetu’s guardians: *cheering loud enough to rattle the savanna*
Zila the Hornbill: *faux indignant* “Well, Mister! I’d say you cannot grow more Hair then you Already have!”
Mheetu: *grins cheekily* “Oh, Have I? So Be warned my dearest enemies, this savanna will Behold its mightiest Leader it has ever seen!”
All Animals: *boom in agreement* “INDEED, MHEETU IS THE MIGHTIEST LEADER OF THE SAVANNAH!”
Zila: *couldn’t cover her ears* “Not so loud, Animals! Mheetu’s grown quite a lot of hair!”
Mheetu: *smirks* “Indeed, and my roar’s more then perfect- *Roar* See?”
Zila: *flinches* “Right! Right! I really think you need an arranged heart to heart talk!”
Mheetu: *smiles* “Oh? Maybe we can do it later! But right now, this is an Extravaganza, Zila!”
All Animals: *cheer very loudly again over Zila’s ‘Out of Service, Out of the Savanna’ rant* “YEAH!!”
Mheetu: *proceeds to proclaim with a rhythm just like Simba and Nala’s I Just Can’t Wait To Be King* “Here Am I, Brother of Nala, Son of Sarafina, Brother in Law to Simba; His Majesty… I Hereby proclaim to the Heavens that this Savanna will learn It has a NEW Leader and that Leader is Me! Join Me, And I Shall Be…A Mighty Leader, So All Opponents, Beware!”
All Animals: *All Shout in agreed Unison* “INDEED, This Savanna Will See It’s GREATEST Non-Royal Leader in GENERATIONS!”
Zila: *groans and Moans*
Mheetu: *continues Loudly proclaiming* “My Leadership will be the Main Event that NO Generation has ever heard Before! With No Prior Leader, No Longer am I a Cub! I have Matured over the years! I may have been Scarred and Traumatized by the Past, But I saw the Light at the end of the Darkness! So, There will be No Tyrant Here to ‘Do This and Be There’ to Hound me around! They won’t EVER Be saying ‘Stop That’ to a Mature Leader like me and no Villain in this Continent will See Sense!”
Animals: *all boom again in Agreed Unison* “INDEED, And He Will Be Free To Lead All Day!”
Mheetu: *Smiles as his eyes sparkle with happy wisdom* “I will do so, by Leading As I Choose to, I have the Freedom to Do it All my Way!”
All Animals and Mheetu’s Guardians: *all Shout in Unison and again Agreement* “Mheetu Shall Do It All His WAY!”
Mheetu: *loudly declares to the Sky* “OH, How I Couldn’t Wait To Be Leader!”
All Animals and Mheetu’s Guardians: *All Boom* “OH, MHEETU Couldn’t Wait To Be LEADER!”

All Animals and Mheetu’s Guardians: *all shout in agreed Unison* “And SO Spread the Word Across the Savanna, Let All Creatures in the Herds and In the Air Hear the News! The Savanna will have A NEW Leader! It Will Be Commander Mheetu’s FINEST DAY!”
Mheetu: *loudly combines his Proclamations along with his Guardians all the Animals* “OH, How I Just Couldn’t Wait TO Be Leader, OH, How I Just Couldn’t Wait TO Be Leader, OH How I Just Couldn’t Wait…..”
Mheetu, his Guardians, All Animals and a Clearly exhausted Zila: *all sharply look to the clouds to see them forming into the spirits of the great rulers and chiefs of the past who also are even joining on the Menagerie and Bellow to them* “TO BE LEADER…..”
Every animal living and spiritual plus even humans found themselves unresisting to this Most Marvelous occasion: *All BOOM And SHOUT So Loudly that not only the trees but the Sky and the Earth even SHOOK* “ALL HAIL COMMANDER MHEETU!”
*everyone LOUDLY Cheers including Mheetu’s Guardians!*
Several young wolves and hyenas: *all cackling and laughing with joy while sitting on many Ostriches*
Hyena Pup: “This is the GREATEST Day of My Life!”
Young female Wolf: “You’ve Said It!”
Young Male Wolf #1: *grins* “Now the King has Nothing on Mheetu!”
Several adult wolves and hyenas: *chattering joyfully among themselves and several herbivorous animals join them*
Male Hartebeest: “This Is the Most Splendid Day hasn’t it, Friends?”
Wolves and Hyenas: *all Nod*
Ed the Hyena: *laughs as a way to say ‘Yes It Has!’ He has never met a Lion more entertaining then Mheetu!*
A Female Gazelle: *smiles* “Ah, Ed looks to be greatly joyful about Mheetu, Isn’t he?”
A Male Hyena named Hanazi: *grins* “That’s correct! Ed is finding entertainment to move on from his dark ways!”
Ed: *surprises everyone by actually talking in a deep Smooth voice* “Of course, Friends. I have found my Joy at last. Mheetu is the one who will help me move on from my dark association with Scar…..”
Every animal: *is surprised apart from Mheetu, his guardians and several scavengers*
African Golden Wolf Male: *approaches then looks to Mheetu, revealing that he is his Chief Aide* “Indeed you are. Mheetu, Sir, There have been no dangers as reported”
Mheetu: *nods in acknowledgment* “very good, Tell your Squad to meet me Mid-Noon; Ajikl!”
Ajikl the African Golden Wolf: *nods* “Yes, Commander”
(With the faction squads)
several wolves and wild dogs: (they serve as Ed’s supervising watchers to ensure he fully has the help he needs to expunge his association with Scar in their sight)
Female Wild Dog #1: “Mmm…. I never thought we’d have the third member of the trio under our eyes!”
Female Wild Dog #2: “Quite right, ever since Shenzi decided to split apart the clan following Scar’s downfall, the former clan is in a free for all, with Ed assuming leadership of his own faction which I did not Expect!”
Male Wolf #1: *agrees* “Indeed and for the life of me, I still can’t grasp the notion that Banzai like Ed is now the leader and Patriarch of his own faction of Hyenas! I have close relatives who are doing the same for him!”
A young male Wolf pup: “well! the roles of the Hyena Hierarchy have really changed, haven’t they?”
Wolf pup: “Now that you speak of that, I wonder how much time is there until other male Hyenas gain power?”
Ajikl the African Golden Wolf: *comes in with a wise smile* “Well, Young’Ins, The Circle of Life is all Balance! However. There will be occasional Bents in the Rules!”
A Bontebok: “You’re Right, Ajikl. Now Young Ones, As you grow Older, You will learn a lot of things in Life!”
