Why didn't the comp players just wait at pallets? I noticed they would throw pallets early when they could just wait until the legion injures them with frenzy and then get an almost gaureenteed pallet stun, would play around the iri button and multiple frenzy hits. Edit: it's been brought to my attention this was likely due to ping.
That or they drop after he hits them. Like legion has a cooldown coming out of frenzy and they were playing as if they had no faith in the rest of their team to avoid getting hit if they didn't act there. Overall, they lost a lot of really good pallets for no real reason.
They can't risk it because of lag. They were playing against someone in Japan, so the ping screws with minute timing plays. That's why Xeno got a pallet stun in the beginning. I've seen the Legion player play, you don't get pallet stuns against him.
It's clear that they didn't prepare enough, they didn't play enough on this map, you can see it by the fact that they make stupid mistakes. I've seen other teams play DbD comps and they are much more organized than this one.

Reshade is just outright being used as a way to blatantly cheat. There's only one exception, and it's for people who the reshades were originally for: People with vision disabilities like colorblindness. All of them just brighten up all the dark the game naturally has and make the red shades more prominent. And wouldn't you know, in a horror game where darkness is meant to not only set the mood but obscure gameplay as an actual mechanic, they're brightening everything; and not only that, but also making reds bright so they can see auras brighter and most importantly the killer's *red stain.* Very rarely have I seen a reshade that actually changes the colors to be different-- such as making blues appear green on a standard color spectrum or reds as purple. This type is for people who have levels of colorblindness. I have seen it, and they're the exception mentioned earlier. The ones shown here are just for competitive edge. It's just robbing the person playing, and the opponent of the real experience of DBD. It's a shame this is so normal to do. The developers should host an invitational with 'competitive teams' with two rounds per team. The first round, everyone has reshades on, just like this, and then the second round it's turned off. At the same time, have all players on both sides offer the New Moon Bouquet offering to make the game be as dark as possible. (It's a custom match, you can bring that offering.) Four matches. Whichever team's killer gets more kills per 'round' versus the other team's killer gets the point. At two points, the team wins over the other, so a third match for both teams will be played (six total matches) to break the tie if it occurs. Best of 3s, basically. It would serve as a very informative experiment. I theorize it would, without a doubt, prove reshading is cheating.

How common is it in other games for people to brighten the game artificially and make important colors more noticeable? I never see it in anything else. I do see comparisons though, like having sound queues or visual reminders in games like WoW to assist in raiding. It's handicap gaming, and I don't mean for people who are handicapped.

After seeing this anyone who says reshade isn't a cheating advantage is gaslighting. It's the new stretched resolution. I'm in comp games about 1/4 of the time, but the survivors don't tell me I am......
I don't think it's cheating or even comparable to stretched res. If you think about it, it's the same principle as using a different display. Sone displays will be able to show the game brighter or more saturated. Stretched res requires manipulation of game files and actually could show things that are normally not even in your field of view, such as the killer's head over a wall.
You probably know it by now Tru3 but I'm pretty sure the video is just cycling through their POVs, no Spectator involved; You can see it by the fact that someone has a logo on their perks, someone's perks are dark colored and someone else's are perfectly normal
DbD "comp" is the saddest thing ever. Playing competitively in an unbalanced party game is just hilarious. If they were serious about comp they would go to a game with high skill expression.

Ya ruin by itself isn't anything to worry about but the combo of ruin and having everyone at max stacks (or even 3 people injured) makes getting back that lost time a chore. Takes longer to fix that small regression. They saw that totem so early in the match, just break it. The 14 seconds to break that would have been easy bought back on the time lost without breaking it. There is no way there is a rule of "no breaking ruin" there just can't be. Ruin is shit by itself and only works in very precise situations like this with the right killer, the right map, and the right playstyle. Which is why I highly doubt there is a random "can't break ruin" rule because on any other map with 90% of the killer cast, it wouldn't do shit even if it stayed up all match. Even with the "can't break until one gen done" rule still will only keep it good in only VERY specific situations.
they do have rules like those in comp though, just saying. some perks are straight up not allowed, and others have restrictions placed onto them. and with legion in particular, if ruin were to be unbreakable in a hypothetical scenario, it would go great. Legion isn't the best at getting downs honestly, but he is one of the best at injuring and keeping everyone busy, so those seconds with everyone having to spread and then 99 their mend mean a lot more and he doesn't have to stop for a single kick, so not only can he keep moving, but no cap will be met either. But again, all of this in a scenario were it can't be cleansed in the first 30 seconds of a match without bringing undying too
i feel like whenever we try to bring ruin it gets cleansed 😂😂 Edit: ok, got to the end and now i realize they had that rule were they cannot cleanse it until a gen it's done. That makes a lot of sense cause otherwise legion doesn't have a really efficient way of regression without sacrificing pressure if people aren't going down right besides the gen they are focusing on (for jolt)....
Wonder if at 3:40 his delayed reaction was due to potentially checking the streams of his teammates, streaming everyone's game in group calls and all watching them seems to be an easy way to get a broken level of information that can't really be patched out, though still surprised he wouldn't notice the insane red coloration of the reshaded stain
As an high level ex player if there are any non pro players that want help learning call-outs for maps one of the best things that help me friend group which had players that were awful mid good and top tier we were all able to use this method to communicate easily basically we would always call killer shack bottom of the map and top is obviously the other side so killer shack is pretty much always either bottom right left or middle in some cases now if killer shack is in the middle of the map this pretty much thrown out the window if the map has a weird killer shack placement try to use the main building as bottom of the map unless it’s in the middle but if the main building is middle then killer shack is somewhere in the corners it’s been a long time since I played so I know probably a lot of new a weird maps that have came out since then so sorry if this doesn’t help but it might help some especially newer players as the new or not good players In my group could use this system well
I will never understand comp DBD for spectators. Its SO rinse and repeat and boring that when you watch the leagues on youtube the commentators go apeshit when a killer gets the most basic double back mindgames on unsafe pallets. Otherwise the commentary would be 'yeah someones being chased who knows every pallet and window route on every map with precise callouts and the rest of them are on gens.' If this is how you play the game then cool but to watch it must be one of the most boring spectator experiences in gaming. And when a game like the one in this video happens, thats SO out the ordinary, this is literally just a high level pub match. Whats comp about this?
I don't know how people don't see it as a way to improve their own gameplay. Some teams play in a very by the book manner, which can sometimes be boring but the altruism and game sense elysium players display is really interesting. they play much more aggressively than most, I recommend you give it a try

That's what non casuals do in every competitive game lol. Watch any esports first person shooter or MOBA competitive scene. People play on the lowest graphic settings with shit like bloom, blur and flash effects turned off, to get the best visual clarity possible. When you're playing competitevely you don't give a shit about how beautiful the game looks or how cool those sun light reflections are.

I wasn’t gonna comment because it doesn’t matter as it’s opinion based but as someone who was at a high level for both survivor and killer this game was so weird to watch the survivors didn’t seem like they were high level at all lots of terrible call outs especially that one moment where his friends even called him out for it was hilarious I get there is lag even as I’m writing this it’s looking like the survivors are making a comeback also everything I have said definitely has to been taken with a pinch of salt because I haven’t played in like 3 years so I don’t know what perks are good what has changed just such a weird game
I don't know how much you know about the setting of the showcase where the match is from, but basically the survs usually never play this map and never train call outs for it (which is even worse because game is notoriously hard to call). They are playing on this ruleset for the first time and usually don't play in this team constellation either against a killer who has played this exact ruleset many many times and is likely regarded as one of the best. Adding to that they have to play basically flawlessly without going down, because of a difficult win condition. All of this together makes this look very goofy but I can guarantee you that they really are among the best players. If you're interested, there are more matches streamed on twitch (hens333 for commentary, xenodbd among others for West survivor pov) and they regularly stomp on the other sets (dead dawg saloon is a stomp eg), this one was just a hard outlier which is why it got memed/uploaded and true could react to it
explain how, its whitelisted by easy anti cheat (the anti cheat that dead by daylight uses) explicity showing that it is not cheating. i would love to see you use reshade for a week and see if you improve in anyway whatsoever ^w^

@@KOHoxton stretched resolution does not alter any files....its simply changing the resolution on your monitor, and so the position of your players viewmodel is skewed...and again, it becomes an anticheat issue, NOT a player issue. dont get mad because people want to win, in a videogame, where the goal is to win...
A good compromise for Ruin is that it should light all of the totems until one gen is done. You either have to cleanse all the totems or fight through it until a gen is complete. Either way the damage is done. It also balances for multiple hex builds.
Ruin isn't op, I don't think it needs a nerf this severe, having all totems lit in the start means at least one surv will spawn directly on top of the totem, there is no way it doesn't get cleansed instantly
@@foon400 You may be thinking of what I am suggesting backwards. I mean that they must cleanse all the totems to get rid of Ruin. If they do not before one gen is done ruin is reduced to one totem. This is a buff not a nerf.

Dbd can be very competitive, look more into the comp scene before commenting, this was a game played with very high ping so of course they pre-drop. Watch any other tournament which is played on normal ping and you will see it's so interesting and very skill expressive on both sides. Dbd can be as if not more competitive than r6 or cs.

If you put 4 equally good survivors together versing an equally good Killer, Suvivors still have the highground even with all the banned Perks. The point is: There is nothing like Skillful plays in this Game. If Survivors dont make mistakes, the Killer is basically fucked and he cant do anything about it, no matter the experience he has. DBD the E-Sports game wont happen.

Every single chase and second matters in a dbd comp game, every single little pathing error could lead to a killer snowballing to a 4k. Same goes for killer, one bad choice and you lose a easy 4k. DBD already has a big comp scene created by the players, thousands of players competing in the dbd league ladder, and dozens of teams across all regions in the world, whether you can accept it or not, DBD is an E-Sport game.
to me it was super clear that the ping was through the roof......the stuns that landed were dropped earlier than usual, so of course they'll predrop since the window was a little more unpredictable than usual. The best way to play a comp scene is through lan, or at thevery least with everyone relatively close area wise and connected to the same server.

dog, they are options in the game user settings config file, as simple as that. The fact that they are listed there in the first place, means that they are designed to be changable. They are there for a reason, it is not cheating. Is it me being able to edit the specific operating system services, me cheating windows just because it is not eaisly accesible from the main menu? no. It just means that it hasn't been implemented in the user friendly menu , that's it. the reasons why are up to the developer. I find people like you funny, who find editing a config file or a registry a scary cheat lol. I guess it may be because i was basically born putting together rigs at home, but yeah, you really shouldn't be speaking much about this topic. Just so you know, each time you change an option from the in game menu, it's saved on those config files. The game basically dumbs it down for people like you by summarizing almost everything to a basic standard on the menu, but the options actually exist and are there, implemented by the developers. If you don't feel like changing them, good for you! but it's perfectly valid. Though, i'm suspecting you are just a troll or really young

Four matches. Whichever team's killer gets more kills per 'round' versus the other team's killer gets the point. At two points, the team wins over the other, so a third match for both teams will be played (six total matches) to break the tie if it occurs. Best of 3s, basically.

I don't think it's cheating or even comparable to stretched res.
If you think about it, it's the same principle as using a different display. Sone displays will be able to show the game brighter or more saturated.
Stretched res requires manipulation of game files and actually could show things that are normally not even in your field of view, such as the killer's head over a wall.

Ya ruin by itself isn't anything to worry about but the combo of ruin and having everyone at max stacks (or even 3 people injured) makes getting back that lost time a chore. Takes longer to fix that small regression. They saw that totem so early in the match, just break it. The 14 seconds to break that would have been easy bought back on the time lost without breaking it. There is no way there is a rule of "no breaking ruin" there just can't be. Ruin is shit by itself and only works in very precise situations like this with the right killer, the right map, and the right playstyle. Which is why I highly doubt there is a random "can't break ruin" rule because on any other map with 90% of the killer cast, it wouldn't do shit even if it stayed up all match.
Even with the "can't break until one gen done" rule still will only keep it good in only VERY specific situations.
they do have rules like those in comp though, just saying. some perks are straight up not allowed, and others have restrictions placed onto them. and with legion in particular, if ruin were to be unbreakable in a hypothetical scenario, it would go great. Legion isn't the best at getting downs honestly, but he is one of the best at injuring and keeping everyone busy, so those seconds with everyone having to spread and then 99 their mend mean a lot more and he doesn't have to stop for a single kick, so not only can he keep moving, but no cap will be met either.
But again, all of this in a scenario were it can't be cleansed in the first 30 seconds of a match without bringing undying too

That makes a lot of sense cause otherwise legion doesn't have a really efficient way of regression without sacrificing pressure if people aren't going down right besides the gen they are focusing on (for jolt)....
i play with like same settings like this guys since years, reshade: dpx, adaptive sharpen, 4k max settings, + brigthness increase
the sharp grainy look is reshade legion is kinda perfect for that map
Wonder if at 3:40 his delayed reaction was due to potentially checking the streams of his teammates, streaming everyone's game in group calls and all watching them seems to be an easy way to get a broken level of information that can't really be patched out, though still surprised he wouldn't notice the insane red coloration of the reshaded stain

As an high level ex player if there are any non pro players that want help learning call-outs for maps one of the best things that help me friend group which had players that were awful mid good and top tier we were all able to use this method to communicate easily basically we would always call killer shack bottom of the map and top is obviously the other side so killer shack is pretty much always either bottom right left or middle in some cases now if killer shack is in the middle of the map this pretty much thrown out the window if the map has a weird killer shack placement try to use the main building as bottom of the map unless it’s in the middle but if the main building is middle then killer shack is somewhere in the corners it’s been a long time since I played so I know probably a lot of new a weird maps that have came out since then so sorry if this doesn’t help but it might help some especially newer players as the new or not good players In my group could use this system well
I will never understand comp DBD for spectators. Its SO rinse and repeat and boring that when you watch the leagues on youtube the commentators go apeshit when a killer gets the most basic double back mindgames on unsafe pallets. Otherwise the commentary would be 'yeah someones being chased who knows every pallet and window route on every map with precise callouts and the rest of them are on gens.' If this is how you play the game then cool but to watch it must be one of the most boring spectator experiences in gaming. And when a game like the one in this video happens, thats SO out the ordinary, this is literally just a high level pub match. Whats comp about this?
I don't know how people don't see it as a way to improve their own gameplay. Some teams play in a very by the book manner, which can sometimes be boring but the altruism and game sense elysium players display is really interesting. they play much more aggressively than most, I recommend you give it a try

That's what non casuals do in every competitive game lol. Watch any esports first person shooter or MOBA competitive scene. People play on the lowest graphic settings with shit like bloom, blur and flash effects turned off, to get the best visual clarity possible. When you're playing competitevely you don't give a shit about how beautiful the game looks or how cool those sun light reflections are.

I wasn’t gonna comment because it doesn’t matter as it’s opinion based but as someone who was at a high level for both survivor and killer this game was so weird to watch the survivors didn’t seem like they were high level at all lots of terrible call outs especially that one moment where his friends even called him out for it was hilarious I get there is lag even as I’m writing this it’s looking like the survivors are making a comeback also everything I have said definitely has to been taken with a pinch of salt because I haven’t played in like 3 years so I don’t know what perks are good what has changed just such a weird game
I don't know how much you know about the setting of the showcase where the match is from, but basically the survs usually never play this map and never train call outs for it (which is even worse because game is notoriously hard to call). They are playing on this ruleset for the first time and usually don't play in this team constellation either against a killer who has played this exact ruleset many many times and is likely regarded as one of the best. Adding to that they have to play basically flawlessly without going down, because of a difficult win condition. All of this together makes this look very goofy but I can guarantee you that they really are among the best players. If you're interested, there are more matches streamed on twitch (hens333 for commentary, xenodbd among others for West survivor pov) and they regularly stomp on the other sets (dead dawg saloon is a stomp eg), this one was just a hard outlier which is why it got memed/uploaded and true could react to it

A good compromise for Ruin is that it should light all of the totems until one gen is done. You either have to cleanse all the totems or fight through it until a gen is complete. Either way the damage is done. It also balances for multiple hex builds.
I like that idea.
Ruin isn't op, I don't think it needs a nerf this severe, having all totems lit in the start means at least one surv will spawn directly on top of the totem, there is no way it doesn't get cleansed instantly

Dbd can be very competitive, look more into the comp scene before commenting, this was a game played with very high ping so of course they pre-drop. Watch any other tournament which is played on normal ping and you will see it's so interesting and very skill expressive on both sides. Dbd can be as if not more competitive than r6 or cs.

Every single chase and second matters in a dbd comp game, every single little pathing error could lead to a killer snowballing to a 4k. Same goes for killer, one bad choice and you lose a easy 4k. DBD already has a big comp scene created by the players, thousands of players competing in the dbd league ladder, and dozens of teams across all regions in the world, whether you can accept it or not, DBD is an E-Sport game.
to me it was super clear that the ping was through the roof......the stuns that landed were dropped earlier than usual, so of course they'll predrop since the window was a little more unpredictable than usual. The best way to play a comp scene is through lan, or at thevery least with everyone relatively close area wise and connected to the same server.

dog, they are options in the game user settings config file, as simple as that. The fact that they are listed there in the first place, means that they are designed to be changable.

It just means that it hasn't been implemented in the user friendly menu , that's it. the reasons why are up to the developer.

Just so you know, each time you change an option from the in game menu, it's saved on those config files. The game basically dumbs it down for people like you by summarizing almost everything to a basic standard on the menu, but the options actually exist and are there, implemented by the developers. If you don't feel like changing them, good for you! but it's perfectly valid.
