    Hi Airforce guy, question, how do you hook up utilities on a solis 59P at park with full hook ups?

    • @TheAirForceGuy

      It is on the drivers side. It would be best to check it out in person

    Thank you for the comprehensive walkthrough. Just a couple questions after watching the video. I noticed there is no awning. Is there an option for an awning on the passenger side? Or perhaps a 3rd party manufacturer awning to be installed? Also, is there an option for a flat screen TV hookup anywhere on the inside?

    No A/C is a deal breaker for me. Can one have it installed as an extra ? I guess it’s because of the pop up. Please advise.

    Great review. Very detailed! Question - Looks like you have a open the rear doors to connect city water? Does that mean you can't have a "permanent" city water connection with pressure?

    One thing that has always irked me has been Winnebago completely ignoring a matching storage/motorcycle trailer for their line of motorhomes.
    Ideally I'd like a Solis with a small motorcycle trailer as well to carry a 500lbs (wet) BMW F650 GS that can be used for runs to various local shops, attractions, into town, etc. while leaving the Solis hooked up and locked up at the campsite or otherwise deployed when boondocking.

    • @TheAirForceGuy
      @TheAirForceGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. It is not Winnebago that sets the weight limits for this Class B motor home, it is Dodge. All Ram Pro Master Chassis' are limited. No manufacturer can increase the limits. There are some out there that put larger hitch receivers on their motor homes and that still does not change what they can handle. Just did a TH-cam Live about that last week. Check it out, it will open you eyes and make you wonder, Why are these manufacturers doing what they are doing!

    Nice review Paul! We own a Hymer Aktiv Loft 1.0 and love it. The Solis is very similar, just lacking the inverter, generator, microwave, TV, and Blu Ray player and A/C. Our A/C is undermount and not all that great, but better than nothing. We have 400 ah of Lithium batteries. The Solis has a Solar panel. Hymer Aktiv Loft has and underhood generator (UGH). I like the USB ports, light and vent on the loft, we don't have those. So some nice touches that Winnebago thought of for the Solis. Also, you can currently get a Solis. Hymer Aktiv Loft's no longer made in North America :-(

      The Tellaro is more like the Pleasure Way Ascent. It does not have a pop-top. The Solis is like the Tofino by Pleasure Way, but the Solis has more to offer for less money.

    • @fishernate
      @fishernate 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      RV Reviews by The Air Force Guy you’re wrong, the tellaro AT has a pop up. It’s almost the same layout as this, but better. If this one had a lithium battery, Air conditioning and a microwave it would be better. But it falls way short. It’s really unfortunate that all the B van manufacturers are failing to look at the 1000’s of vanlife tour videos on TH-cam to see what people actually want. They’re all condos in cargo vans - stealth on the outside and beautiful on the inside. The Solis is so close yet so far away. I know this is supposed to be the budget van, however I’d happily pay a higher price to have the options I actually want/need. It’s really annoying that I’m going to have to pay upwards of $200,000 to have a custom-made cargo van because the B van manufacturers refuse to move into the future. Seriously, why can’t they import some of the amazing designs from Europe? The vans are smaller and the bed is in the ceiling without the silly pop top... I almost feel like it’s some sort of conspiracy to keep those vans out of North America. Perhaps the government thinks they’ll be too popular and they’re trying to avoid a bunch of dirty hippies living in vans. To me, there’s no reasonable explanation. They would sell like hotcakes without question and yet we are left with only abysmal, boring, overpriced, oversized B vans to choose from… Many with black tanks... because everybody wants 30 gallons of pee and poo sloshing around as they drive.... NOT!

    Great video Paul!
    Watched it all very informative!
    I would need to know if they have some sort of roof rack system designed for it so I can carry my SUP and Kayak?
    Second question is how big a motorcycle could I carry inside?
    I’m sure a skinny dirt bike is not an issue but could I use a ramp and tie down my Honda Goldwing inside?
    It would be the perfect RV for us if both of those wishes could be fulfilled.
    Thank you

    They need to make a revel with pop top, nicer cabinets, better seats behind the driver, those seats shame the bench seat behind the driver on the revel, can't understand why they cheaped out on the revel interior, shakes head at Winnie.

    • @TheAirForceGuy
      @TheAirForceGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Revel has some changes with the seats for 2021. More of a sports seat with three point seat belts. Definitely two different types of Class B's. With all of the stuff on the roof of the Revel, not possible to have a pop-top. Get many people saying if they could only take some from this one and some from that one and a little from that one., then I'd have the perfect camper. I get it. Appreciate you watching.

      With a pop-top an A/C would not be very useful. The ones sleeping up top would end up opening the windows which would totally negate the A/C. One must look at this for what it is, it is an upscale Vanagon. Good Luck and Happy Camping. Thanks for watching...

    Top Bed is rated to hold 450 pounds but the ladder is only rated for 225 pounds, how will someone that weighs 300 pounds climb up there? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

    • @TheAirForceGuy
      @TheAirForceGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 times 225 equals 450. That is how they rate things. Even outside ladders on RV's have about the same rating, while the so called walkable roof typically have about the same rating.

    Love the pop top and the 2nd row of seats. There's no microwave, no armrest on passenger front seat, and no bathroom fan to suck the stink out. Also no generator. Not totally a deal killer since you could buy a small portable one. No A/C, pretty much can't go to the southwest in the summer, then.
