What a hopping place! Was expecting gators in the water, but saw the bison. Excellent review, Tom - surely makes you want to go. They need a substitute preacher? lol!

Randy Florida is a big big horse
Community... they do very well here. One of the top horse breeding grounds is Ocala
They still have real cowboys in Fl.

It is, and many of the campsites are privately owned as well. It was a great stop for us! You guys holding up ok with this craziness?

Do they let you fish there?
Central Florida is our zone right now for Larrys work. I had no idea about this place. It looks amazing. I’m not a fan of rodeos but I do like seeing animals out in the wild instead. Larry would like the zip line. What water body is that? Those waterfront sites look really expensive. Can you go here without camping there? To do some of the activities? I looked up their rates. Yikes 😱 I guess we could afford a couple nights 🤣. Alice
It's one of those places you treat yourself once a year, if you know what I mean. I forget the big lake that that waterway goes out to, ill look it up. Westgate does have cheaper campsites right within the resort I should point out! Not sure what they charge.
Are these privately owned campsites? Can you use any of the facilities or shop at the stores or buy rodeo tics if you are not staying at the campground?
The campsites are mostly privately owned, but they do have some camping sites from the resort and I don't think you need to be staying there to go to the rodeo!
Is there ATV riding allowed?
Not that I remembered specifically. You may want to check with them directly i case that is changed or I am wrong. Great place to go for sure!!
Do they have line and couples dancing?
They do and they even had lessons ahead of the start of the dancing each night!
You forgot to mention the sometimes brush fires they have and the camps that get destroyed from other careless drunk campers. Like the really bad one they had about 2 or 3 years ago. It was huge. Can't remember how many camps and vehicles where destroyed. It's always good to mention stupid people can destroy everything. 😞

@@CampTravelExplore oh, they get good brush fires every few years it seems. But the really bad one was maybe 3 years ago. People think that green doesn't burn. In florida if it's green, it burns. 🙂
Huge rip off for tent campers. 270+$for 3 days tent camping, no water, no electricity. Never again.
Seems nice, except for the rodeo. There’s no need to put animals through that, any more, especially, when it’s purely for human entertainment.
