I think that the pyrenees fair better in fights against predators than the German shepherd would, given the pyrenees has a thick mane protecting their neck
haha! sounds like my lab/beagle mix. She chewed up my socks from age 1-2 years old... I started ordering bulk packs of 100 socks cuz my socks would go missing so fast! After 6 months I finally saw her steal my socks from the laundry hamper, dig a hole outside and then bury my socks!😆
😅 Love this! We have a 3/4 Pyranees 1/4 Anatolian that we purchased from our mutual friend, the lovely TishB. He is working out so well! He's 4 now. Does not roam. Guards the livestock. Good with people but has to be introduced. He takes his job very seriously. Predators and other dogs, Beware! Loved our G S as well. One white one we had killed 26 of my laying hens. He was very remorseful 😅
As they get older, they’re definitely much more laid back. I think both the GS and the Pyrenees together help to even each other out. Your white GS sounds like he was beautiful! 🤩
GPs are supposed to be independent and think for themselves GSD alot less so of course. The GP knows what to do. The GSD needs to be told what to do, more
The Great Pyrenees is not thick. They just don’t give a damn.
You should get 1 of each. German shepherds chew Alot too.

That’s true, and their size and weight helps as well. We definitely have the best of both worlds!

That is hilarious! 😂
GPs are great if they don't wander off.

True, I think that’s where the GSD can be high-maintenance vs. the low-maintenance GP
