I created automation triggers to connect to API but when I'm testing, I don't see that any of the events I assigned to the triggers sign up in the Facebook Events Manager. I'm using pixel and conversions API at the same time. Pixel events show up but conversions API events do not.

Great video. Question on running FB tracking on funnels with multiple steps/purchases. If you have Main product you are selling + order bump up + Upsell 1 + Downsell 1 + Upsell 2 + Downsell 2. What FB events are you installing on each page to trigger the purchase quantity + purchase $ value on each step? If you have someone that purchases the main product + order bump + Upsell 1 + Upsell 2. I could install Purchase event on all the upsell/downsell pages but then it would shot up as 5 purchases if someone purchased all of them. Any way to have it track/report as 1 purchase with total $ value purchased? Or is there a way to track each upsell/downsell as a seperate purchase or at least have main item + bump up as 1 purchase and and all upsells/downsell as one purchase with the total $ value purhchased. Want to hear some thoughts!

yes, if you go back in the video you see a value area in the autoamtions and you should not do an order bumo tracking other then to add to audiences. It sometimes leads to double reporting

That's not a stupid question at all! Setting up the Facebook Pixel on the thank you page URL is a common approach, but the reason it might not have been done in the video could be due to the specific tracking goal or setup. Typically, the Facebook Pixel is added to the conversion page (like a thank you or confirmation page) to track events such as form submissions or completed purchases, which measure actual conversions. In the video, the creator might have been focused on tracking key actions earlier in the funnel, such as a form submission or click, rather than just page visits. However, if you want to track visits specifically to the thank you page, you can absolutely set up the Pixel there as well to capture those page visits. Both methods are valid, but they track different types of data depending on your campaign's goal.

Lead event has been removed.... I'm guessing that's why my conversion rate dropped by 500% starting on 10-19... I only discovered this when I decided to start a new account today, because nothing was fixing my conversion issue. Did this happen to you also?

What's the difference between those and the 'Custom Conversions' in the Events Manager
custom conversions are more for the pixel events, the old way of doing conversition tracking. You can also create custom conversion events for CAPI

For really great tracking I would do a tiktok funnel and a Facebook funnel, same with the automations

Did you have all green checkboxes? On the Capi Setup, go back to the top left and make sure they are all green

Yes, you have to put the plain pixel code *Not the conversion code* on the webpages, the covnersion is all done through conversion API
