I just bought a bass like this two month ago, modded with a pair of EMG MMCS and P5. Vol blend bass treble 18V. The pair of 9V batteries are under the pickguard and got a "window" from the front, made of the pickguard, bolted with two screws. Elegant and clever mod. The sound is amazing.

Nice looking/ sounding bass! Great demo!!
Can you tell the weight and string spacing please? I found one of these tonight - quite cheap and I’m thinking about getting it now. Yea - your demo sold :)
    Thank you 🙏 🙏🙏

Somebody must've rewired the knobs wrong. I have this bass and love it except for the tight string spacing makes it hard for slapping (I have big hands).

yeah it's super tight spacing. I made another clip with the bass going through a Sadowsky preamp DI, sounds brilliant, might put an onboard pre in her one day

@@petem8630 Ok, I need to pick your brain for a minute! Why do some guys add preamps to passive basses like this? Why not just set the EQ at the external amp instead? It just seems a lot easier (and cheaper!) than going through all that work.

@@mattfoley6082 i guess they like the option on not having to walk back to the amp for EQ changes on the fly?

I get no hum with both coils up full. Slight hum with only 1 coil on, not very noticeable and not at all when playing.
